Everything! One of the best hotel stays I've had in the US. Location is central to Albany. Really spacious room, comfortable beds, well-furnished and clean. The bathroom was also spacious and very clean. The staff was awesome, so warm and really helpful. I stayed at the hotel to take the bar exam and I really appreciated how encouraging the staff was! I appreciated also that the room offered reusable glasses for drinking water—I'm not a big fan of this cheap and wasteful trend in American hotels where plastic cups are provided to drink water instead of real glasses. Meal service was awesome. I had breakfast at Renaissance (decent), had lunch to-go and ate sit-down dinner there. I was positively shocked by how good the food was—by far the best hotel meals I have ever had. Just straight up really good food, hotel or not! The hotel also had a very clean and quiet gym.

Only a small thing - I would like ceramic cups to drink coffee/tea in in the room instead of paper cups!

The room, the restaurant, location

Never had any issues before -have stayed here with positive reviews . Feedback- 1. I had to use the microwave on the 5th floor and it was filthy/ disgusting with dry food stuck on the glass so it had been there for sometime . I just ate my food cold . 2. I was double charged for my stay and the receptionist was very dismissive of my concern when I inquired as I was checking out, saying it would “go back to my account “ after I checked out. I called later after I got my receipt confirming I was indeed double charged but this time the lady I spoke to on the phone was wonderful and fixed it.

It is great to see this classic art deco hotel returned to its former glory. Out room was large, clean, and modern. The public areas of the hotel were enjoyable. The view up to the state capitol is impressive. The hotel is centrally located for exploring downtown Albany. The parking was easy and convenient.

We liked that it was right in the middle of everything in downtown Albany, and the restaurant was nice with a good variety of food.

The price is high for a room, and the parking costs extra, but that’s what you expect for a central location. The restaurant is understaffed.

Nice hotel. Nothing exceptional, inexpensive, Ok for business trip..

No food for late arrival except some packed long-term-storage crap on a shelf, no room service, only the bar with alcohol. I flew all day from California, don't need any alcohol, but at least some fresh and actially edible snacks would be nice.

Nice room upscale feel

Service was sub par. Room service did not answer phone in morning. Could not use breakfast voucher because the tables were full. Understaffed at bar. Basically amateur hour on service at an A venue.

Rooms were very nice, clean the shower was wonderful. Water pressure on the 7th floor was not great - but that is minor.

I wasn't a fan of the mood lighting but I'm sure other are.

The staff was very nice and very helpful. The rooms were clean, very comfortable parking was very convenient, you can walk from your car right into the hotel without being outside.

The convenience , cleanliness, ambience and staff were all wonderful. It was a treat for our daughter’s graduation!

We really enjoyed the location, the staff and service were exceptional. Wonderful shuttle service and great food at the restaurant!
