Had a few days visiting National Trust properties in Kent/Sussex, this location was fairly central for Sissinghurst Castle Garden, Scotney Castle, Bateman's, Bodiam Castle and Smallhythe Place. The accommodation was modern, clean, comfy and tidy. Free car parking is conveniently in front of the property.

Hadn't seen the welcome email before arrival, so slightly disconcerting when an automatic barrier was blocking the entrance road. (Drive-up close to the barrier for it to open) also many signs saying it's pay-parking. Visited the Site Manager at No15 for a genuine welcome, the accommodation key and assurance that parking was free.

Spacious, airy, clean & comfortable

The shoe tray was positioned on the floor by the door and I kept slipping on it, I do feel that it needs to be fixed to the floor as it’s a trip/slip hazard. The wet room is not fit for purpose as when you use the shower it soaks the whole floor making it very slippery & dangerous. I felt it would’ve been better to have a full shower screen up to prevent that happening. Otherwise the bathroom was perfect.

The text didn’t get through to me so was searching around at 9 pm at night for the manager , who I eventually found . Went to look for the restaurant for breakfast and it had closed two months ago , but had not changed info in folder or on web site So had to leave to find food . Went to m

Unusual futuristic feel to location; warm under floor heating, comfortable beds, clean, fridge, crockery and room sink; loved the wet room and handy muddy boot tray. Pet friendly, with easy access to a woodland area, always a bonus. The member of staff I spoke to was very helpful.

I arrived in the dark, wasn't sure about the gate entry or where to seek registration. Lighting didn't cover the step up from car park area. The TV didn't seem to be programmed, for normal channels, so when I eventually worked it out, watched through the apps. The fridge was noisy, so turned off during the night as not in use by me and I like it quiet. Disappointed the cafe had closed at 4pm as the booking suggested a restaurant was available.

The rooms were lovely, very clean and had everything we needed. They were also very close to the event we were attending, and we were grateful for the advice not to walk through the (slightly muddy) forest!. The set up and decoration of the rooms were also really nice and well thought out.

The only exception was to have a larger window that could open, to cool the room down a little, without leaving the door or curtains open. Otherwise it was wonderful.

Great size and convenience for where we wanted to be and great for the dog.

The only thing is that it was very hot in the rooms. We had to leave the windows and door open as much as possible to get some fresh air in - and this was the middle of winter! The rooms are clearly very well insulated so surely it’s a waste to keep the heating on between guests.

The lodge was spacious, clean and well appointed with a fridge, china and cutlery. The bathroom was spotless with an excellent rain shower. Parking was very convenient immediately outside the front door.

The only slight minus point was there were no instructions for the TV as far as I could see so it was difficult to work out how to access some of the non- terrestrial channels. But to be honest that wasn't a particular issue for myself.

Very clean, comfortable, lovely modern decor and good amenities (kettle, hair dryer, TV, good array of tea, coffee etc). Quiet and very comfortable beds. On-site restaurant Birchwood is fantastic.

Very unfortunate that the lodges front directly on to the car park with all the beautiful trees on the other side. Guests need to make sure they are fully dressed before opening the curtains in the morning as there isn't much privacy. It would be nice if there were some planters/a strip of grass with some shrubs/trees growing between the lodges and the car park just to give a greener view and privacy, would also create more of a forest vibe.

I love everything the room was beautiful and the beds were super comfortable and I also like that it wasn't stuffy it was bright and airy.

I knew before booking that there was no cooking appliances but it would of been nice if there was at least a toaster or microwave and It would of been helpful if there was a mat for when we got out the shower as the floor stayed really wet we used our towels to dry it.

We stayed one night. Room and bathroom had everything we needed, I requested a shower chair which was in place when we arrived. We had breakfast elsewhere as we were visiting family. I asked several questions all of which were promptly replied to. We will stay again, definitely recommended
