Lovely hotel, the breakfast is as good as people say! Nice little terrace to sit on as well. The room had a mini fridge (empty so you can fill it with snacks!) and the single room was perfectly adequate and well laid out. I liked the location, no hills to walk up unlike other central hotels and I prefer the quieter environment, but others might want to be closer (15 mins walk to Leopoldsplatz). I was able to leave my bags at reception as well.

The hotel has an old world charm and character that fits the town perfectly - a refreshing change from all the bland business hotels. I felt welcome and comfortable and as an Englishman, I really appreciated having a kettle to make a cup of afternoon tea (although I had to bring my own black teabags). The old fashioned charm was matched by modern conveniences and a good WiFi signal, so I was very happy.

My shower hose had a will of its own and was hard to fix in one position.

I have stayed at this hotel several times over the last 20 years. This time the room was excellent with a balcony looking out to the Festspielhaus. I will certainly return to the Hotel Sonata (formerly known as the Bayerischerhof) on my next visit to Baden Baden

Nothing for me. The hotels comfortable, welcoming and with use of the Festspielhaus car park just across the road it is ideal for a car traveller like myself.

Good location in front of the opera. Clean and modern hotel with very good bedding. Breakfast was delicious. Room is quite cozy and perfect for our one night stay at baden baden. No parking in the hotel but public parking right across the street (we paid 17 euros for an overnight)

Perfect hotel, if you ask me, 10/10. Cleanliness, comfort, staff. No signes of wear & tear whatsoever anywhere. Touching details like net in the window protecting from insects or the most soft towels I’ve ever had in any hotel. I came to watch a ballet show so location is the most perfect for me too as it’s across the street from the opera house.

Room was clean and tidy. Location was within easy walking distance of shops and restaurants. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

More breakfast items - sausages and bacon. Lack of headroom up in the attic - but it was okay.

An old hotel, tradition. But very up-to-date. Small rooms but with every convenience. Breakfast had great variety and was plentiful. Directly opposite the Festspielhaus. If you go to a concert, be sure to reserve at the italian place downstairs in advance. Otherwise you can sit in the breakfast room after the concert. Also comfy.

I can't name anything. It was a great value and I am planning to return!

The hotel was in a good location, air conditioning was very good, everything was clean.

The bathroom was on the small side but doable.. No draws to put folded clothes in in bedroom..

Great location for me - opposite the Festspielhaus, as I was attending concerts there. It's a little out of the main town of Baden-Baden, but only 5 - 10 minutes walk to the centre, with its many shops and restaurants. The local buses stop right outside the hotel. Very helpful staff, all of whom spoke good English. Good sized room, with excellent air conditioning, tea/coffee, minibar etc... Bathroom was a bit small with shower (no bath) but all very clean and tidy. A classic looking hotel but with good modern facilities.

Breakfast was ok, usual bread rolls, jams, ham, cheese, cereals - but very little hot food (just scrambled egg). A little more choice/variation would have been good, but it's a minor quibble.

Localization was our drive, but we got impressed by the staff. Understood our needs, had special attention to make our stay memorable. Hotel is renovated, rooms are clean and comfortable. We stayed in a family one. If back, surely we’ll meet again!
