The restaurant was excellent. Meals arrived at the same time which is good for the Pacific. Rooms were clean and facilities well looked after

Nothing to do with the resort but coming from New Zealand I found it weird having to pay steep admission prices to things like beaches and waterfalls. The state of the facilities at these places was not worth the admission. Once again this comment is in no way about the resort

Loved the ambience, the views, the cleanliness, the happy staff, everything really. Its a short fun bus ride to town. They help you with anything. Happy hour awesome, pool beautiful, rooms really nice . Good choice of other restaurants about 10 mins walk if you want a change but to stay local. About 30-40 minute walk through Pango to Honeymoon beach also which has stunning snorkelling, or just get the little 150vt bus. So much to do there

Rooms can be a bit hot at night, thats about it really

Great location right on the beach with a beautiful view from the restaurant and bar over the infinity pool. Very helpful and friendly staff. Very good food and cocktails. Great local entertainment most nights. Beautiful coral and fish on the reef for snorkelling directly in front of the resort. We plan to stay again.

The additional 3.5 percent charge for payment by credit card was a surprise but we discovered this is very common in Vanuatu. There is no air-conditioning but the ceiling fans and the breeze kept us cool enough. Parts of the access road were in very bad repair until a grader smoothed it out. Drive slowly because there are potholes on most roads in Vanuatu.

The grounds are kept immaculate and all the staff are so friendly! It is very scenic with the grounds, pool and beach, and fales were very comfortable this time of year (august). The place including the beach itself was kept very clean and housekeeping did a great job. There were also many nice touches eg. Foot bath outside the fales, welcome drink on arrival, kayaks SUPs and snorkel gear to borrow, concierge had great recommendations, security at the entrance to help with the buses.

There is a trade wind which can sometimes make the beach/restaurant area unpleasant to be in. Located in Pango, we enjoyed walking amongst the locals right outside the resort and felt very safe! However, it did mean that sometimes the smell of burning rubbish, or rooster early in the morning detracted from the experience. Lastly, the food was a little underwhelming but two great options within 10min walking distance (cafe Vila and three pigs) as well as easy and frequent bus into town.

The resort is absolutely amazing. I've stayed at other resorts and spoken to others about other resorts, but none compare to Breakas Beach Resort! It's the perfect adults only resort that is right on the beach, has an amazing pool, is a short bus ride from the main town and has real small waves. The accomodation was amazing with a real local vibe and an outdoor shower in the amazing bungalows. The food, drinks and service is a lot better than other places. There was entertainment every night. Tours was easy to organise and the staff are so kind and helpful. My only regret was that we didn't stay longer!

Everything was perfect.

The staff were great and very helpful. The food was very good and they adapted the menu to suit us at times. The location was great. There were local dining options within walking distance. The in room fridge was perfect for us.

The Wi-Fi was only in the main buildings and had to be renewed for each device each 24hour period. There was a lot of rooster and dog noises during the night. The credit card surcharge when checking out was a surprise. The airport pickup arranged by the resort didn't eventuate, we had had to make our own way to and from the resort. Didn't find the tour desk either helpful or often available. The room hair driers are underpowered.

We had a really lovely time at Breakas. Perfect distance from Port Villa to feel isolated and enjoy some peace and quiet yet close enough to venture in at very little expense and time. Great central distance from some of the main tourist must do's and 30 mins from the airport. Not having to deal with squealing kids in the pool was a bonus.😃 Staff were friendly and very accommodating. Just remember its island time, so chill. The Itallian chef on site is a Master. Every evening meal we had was divine. Happy hour from 5pm and then on to our beach front dining each evening never disappointed. We loved our little garden view Bure. Very comfortable and suits the environment. A real Island escape. If you need a TV , WiFi in your room and AC this isn't the resort for you. We loved it though. Got to turn off and chill out. Met some great people here as well.

AC would make a stay in the warmer months more comfortable.

We had a wonderful stay at Breakas, the moment we walked in we were greeted with a drink and shell necklace. We were lucky enough to see turtles and dugongs right off the beach. Great pool, great food and wonderful staff. Special thanks to Ernest and Ferby especially. We snorkelled off the beach, however the currents were strong so not for beginners.

Although it didn’t bother us, the shutters in each bungalow remain open so it wasn’t entirely private. We also went out on a day trip and came back to find our fan had been changed and reinstalled however nobody had told us about maintenance in our room. We would have neatened our belongings and closed our suitcase had we known. Overall we have no complaints!

The staff were fantastic. The resort is a little tired but as they are coming out of 2 years lockdown, we can forgive them. The breakfast was simple but adequate. You can order eggs at no extra. We ate all the dinners which were varied and good. As Vanuatu was slowly waking up there were quite a few tourist attractions that were still closed. That said, with help from the staff we hired a driver for the day who was fantastic and drove us everywhere we wanted and more.

Initially I was disappointed that the wifi only worked near reception but found that to be a blessing in the end as we talked to fellow travelers rather than head down in the phone. I could get my email updates at breakfast or dinner and just relax.

Visited the resort 6 years ago and really loved our stay. Decided to come back and enjoy it again. Staff are all very friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble for them.

Really needed parasols near the sun loungers as it was too hot to sit in the sun without one. I know they are expecting them soon and hopefully they will get them sooner. Definitely a big must have!
