The location is wonderful at the edge of Kappabashi bridge with some rooms looking out onto the mountains and river. We had a 2nd floor room looking out onto the mountains with a gorgeous vista. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable with tatami mat floors and a small sitting area to enjoy the view. The included dinner was multiple courses and delicious. The breakfast buffet was tasty. We also ate lunch on their deck looking at the mountains. The staff are very friendly and helpful at all times. They really want you to enjoy your stay (and we did!). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this hotel in Kamikochi. Thank you!!

Dinner course and the bedding were excellent! We had a tatami room that overlooks the mountain view. The layout of the room was great, while it's not a big room and we were 3 adults we had lots of space to move about , change and keep our things. Great amenities in the room including the drip coffee provided, very clean , location is perfect!

The staff service could be better/warmer. Breakfast was exactly the same the 2nights we stayed there. Coffee was weak.

+ Excellent location with the best views on the mountains and river. 5 minutes walk to the bus station. It is also very quiet as it is the last hotel in the row of hotels + very friendly and helpful staff. We were late arriving at the Akandana parking (warning GPS does not always work in the mountains) and missed the bus to Kamikochi. The staff arranged a taxi to pick us up very quickly. + Half Board included a 7 course dinner which was very nice + Breakfast buffet had the best Western options I have seen so far in Japan

Japanese style rooms don’t have much space to move around after the futon beds are laid out and the rooms could use a revamp

The location was great. The hotel, room and amenities were good. It was nice that we could leave our luggage there during the day after checking out. We really enjoyed the included breakfast.

Dinner was a bit underwhelming. It was good, we just hoped for more. When we retrieved our luggage later in the day (after checking out) we asked if we could use the bathroom before leaving. Unfortunately that was not possible which was a bit strange.

We had two different types of western-style rooms (Budget Room and Room with Hotaka Mountain/River view) during our 3 night stay. Definitely worth paying extra for a room with view, but overall it's a bit pricey. Public area and room interior is nicely decorated in modern Japanese style. Buffet breakfasts were satisfactory. We had different French course dinners for three nights and they were exceptional for such a remote location! Staff are friendly. Great location as it's at end of Kappa-bashi and view from hotel terrace or room of Hotaka Mountain range is simply breathtaking.

Hotel seems to have updated most rooms but bathroom in our better/expensive room is not yet remodeled. There is uneven ceiling inside shower and my husband hit his head at it. Sink needs to be replaced with a lever faucet.

Absolutely stunning hotel right by Kappa Bridge. The staff couldn't do enough in helping with dietary needs, and the meals were delicious. The beds were the most comfortable I've slept in in a Japanese hotel. You pay a 5 star price, but you also get a 5 star service!

The onsen is very small, but we'll maintained.

Food was five star. 6 course rse meals, flawless service from everyone. Showers and Onsen great. Spectacular scenery. Unparalleled natural beauty.

Rooms. Had cabbage smell, had to mask with cologne. Walls were scratched up, corners banged up, cold water faucet not working. Glad to hear that they are updating rooms

Breakfast is diverse and delicious. Hotel to stay near important points of the park and close to the bus station.

The service of the staff is impressive. The hotel can provide a good room and turn it into a better room.The staff helped prepare things for the room. Even though I traveled before check in.

The property had an excellent location. We booked the mountain/river view and it was beautiful! The breakfast and dinner was included in the price which was great. The staff was helpful and very friendly!

not too many outlets in the room. Breakfast wasn't too flavorful. Charge for ice as a room service charge.

The staffs are very welcoming. Recommended and helped arrange the luggage to be delivered to the room even though it was not yet time to check in. I wanted to upgrade my room and receive good service. The food tastes excellent. The hotel is in a very good location.
