I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Continental, and a big part of that was thanks to Ugur. From the moment I arrived, he was incredibly welcoming, professional, and always ready to assist with anything I needed. Whether it was offering helpful local tips, ensuring my room was perfect, or simply greeting me with a warm smile each day, Ugur truly went above and beyond. It’s rare to come across such genuine hospitality, and it made a big difference in my experience. Hotel Continental is lucky to have someone like Ugur on their team—he represents the very best of customer service. Everything was perfect!

Literally right across the street from the train station. Location couldn’t be better. Soft bed, but the bedding and pillows could be improved. Excellent and clean bathroom and shower. The room is small but comfortable.

A bit expensive for what it is, but it is Switzerland so that’s to be expected. The pillow was super thin, and there’s only one of them. I might as well have not been using a pillow for how thin it was. The bedding also had an odd texture at first, kind of reminding me of hospital bedding. But I got used to it. It can get a bit noisy at night. The air conditioner was a little loud, but it did the job and kept the room cool. The bed is almost the same length as the width of the room, making it a bit hard to get larger bags past it.

I really liked the room that despite being a single room still felt spacious and not like a shoebox as you sometimes encounter in other hotels. They gave me a discount because supposedly the AC was broken in that room but they put a fan and portable AC which I didn't even need because the temperature was great as it was despite 30°C outside. Very friendly staff and great breakfast with view on the train station. I also really appreciated that they provided a public transport pass for the whole stay, which was perfect to take the metro right next to the hotel. Would stay here again.

They insist on changing your towels even if you do not leave them on the floor as per their green policy. Really no need to replace all towels every day.

The large room with great beds coffee maker and toiletries, great housekeeping services rooms were always attended to, ice if you needed. And of course the brilliant location by the Gare, the free City Transport coupon for 15 days from the city of Lausanne (when you pay €6 tourist tax a day!!)...all in all a great decision and a happy first timer! Don't miss Platforme 10 nearby ...

Would have like Twin beds but they have very few Twin rooms. Had requested and hoped they would do so in our ten days stay but it was not anything to dislike 😊

The staff was very friendly! I decided to do a surprise for my boyfriend and they helped me to prepare everything, they even placed us in a room with balcony with view to the lake to make it even more special. I’m forever grateful and we will come back for sure! 🤍

They should have more pastries options for breakfast, other than that everything was perfect.

It's the perfect hotel to spend some days in Lausanne, it's located just in front of the train station and the metro station is just next to the hotel. The breakfast was really good with varied options to suit all tastes. You also have access to a big gym not like the gyms that we usually find in hotels. Another thing, they give you a transport pass to visit Lausanne which I found awesome. I highly recommend this hotel and if I have to come back to Lausanne I will definitely book continental hotel again :D!

Hotel was very close to station, across the road. Room was located at the back, no view. Had to keep curtains closed when lights were on as there were people walking past on road just next to hotel. Room was very clean, bed was comfortable. Bathroom was on the small side but was very clean with all the amenities. Room was decent size. Had breakfast at hotel, not a huge choice but good quality food. Was fine for a couple of nights stay. Cafe downstairs next to hotel was good, nice coffee.

Room was very comfortable for me: clean, quiet, and met my simple needs. I booked in for a couple days to recover from jet-lag having just flown into Geneva from California.

They are working on the elevator but hopefully the repairs go quickly since I'll be back in a few months. This is the first place I book when I visit Lausanne for its location and having stayed here before and knowing what to expect. The breakfast could be more affordable.

The location is, what I mean really convenient, literally across the street from the train station entrance, one can't get anything closer, unless stays inside the train station. And the metro station is downstairs to the next building, easy to go anywhere in the city. Being so close to all the transportation, it is however, so quiet that at night, one doesn't realize where it is, so close to the train or metro stations. Room is clean, air conditioning is good and ample. Staff is very friendly and welcoming.

The best location right across from the train station. The staff is fantastic and so helpful and polite. The rims in the back are quieter but I like the rooms in the front because you can see the train station and have a nice view of Lausanne. Bathrooms are very well put together and efficient.I love the fact that I can literally roll my bags out of the station and into this hotel without getting a taxi. They have breakfast in the hotel, but there’s also a Starbucks downstairs and a Pain Quotidian connected to the hotel. You also get free access to the professional fitness center downstairs. Super.
