It was a last minute reservation. Everything was exceptional from check in to check out! The front desk staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Perfect pool with cabanas available! The hotel offers both riverside and poolside rooms. The gift shop has a little bit of everything! The complimentary breakfast at the Mermaid Cafe was delicious. The staff was amazing!! The room was clean and the housekeeping staff was friendly and helpful as well! The Grille at Riverview has beautiful views and offers outdoor seating. The food and service is top notch with steak, seafood and kid friendly options available!

Liked EVERYTHING!!

We had a wonderful time! The staff was excellent, our room was cozy, and we absolutely LOVED the pool area. The gift shop was great, and the location is perfect — we could walk everywhere. Overall, it just needs a little extra love, but we will stay here again!

The only reason I can’t give it a 10 is due to the noise from the bridge, which made the early mornings a little restless. I know that comes with an older house/hotel, but window and door replacements in the future would be a great investment. The porch floor also felt a bit unsafe and could use some attention.

We have been coming to NSB for 40 years and in fact own a condo there. Other members of the family were using the condo so we needed a hotel for the first time. Loved the Riverview, The room was fantastic. The staff friendly, helpful and professional. The vouchers for the Mermaid Cafe breakfast (next door) were a totally unexpected treat. It's right on Flagerl so walking into town is a breeze.

If there is one complaint it would be that there is no elevator. That is not a problem for us even though we were on the 3rd and tip floor. But it might be for some.

Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Our room was a bit compact but it had direct access to the pool with a small private area with seating, this was lovely and made our stay very relaxing. There was no fridge or kettle in the room but this is more than made up for by the coffee available in reception and the cold water and ice machine. Breakfast at The Mermaid was great; friendly staff and tasty food. It's a nice easy walk to the beach.

Larger room with larger bed but the setting of our room was so lovely I'd rather have that than a bigger room!

Breakfast included, delicious, staff went out of their way to accommodate any need. Excellent customer service. Polite, made you feel like family. Will definitely be back. Location is great, walking distance to anything you might want. Loved everything about it. Also spa is wonderful - had a couples massage and then enjoyed wine and champagne. Outstanding.

Loved every thing!!

We had a lovely four night stay at the Riverview Hotel. This hotel is beautiful and the service is top notch. Walking distance to many shops and restaurants as well as the beach. We enjoyed breakfast each morning at the Mermaid Cafe and afternoons poolside. Just a short drive to downtown New Smyrna which includes a brewery, distillery, museum, and more wonderful restaurants.

The location is excellent, only a short walk to the beach and right on the water. The rooms aren’t huge but the perfect size for a night or two away. L’Occitane products in the bathroom was a nice touch and when I say the bedsheets are soft!! Potentially the softest sheets I’ve ever slept in. Really great value with breakfast included too. Highly recommend

A fridge in the room would have been nice but survived without it

Everything! Easy check in and out, great guys working both times! Loved the coffee in the lobby and the neat wine and cheese happy hour - so classy! Loved our room, didn't get to use the pool, damn rain! The breakfast deal was good and convenient. We will be back again next year!

There was nothing which could have been better. A plus all the way around!

Great location, loved the view of the river from our balcony. We had coffee and watched the boats pass through the drawbridge from our balcony. Breakfast at Mermaid Cafe was excellent; loved that place! Loved the boutique in the lobby also! Wish we went in the pool but we only stayed one night.

Our bathroom was small and could use an update.

The Riverview Hotel is an absolutely charming inn and the staff could not have been nicer. The room decor was lovely, the pool area was private and beautiful and the location right on Flagler Ave was perfect for getting around on foot. A wonderful surprise were the full breakfast options included at the cafe next door.

Being an older building, it is not quite as sound proof as some new hotels. I travel with a white noise app on my phone, so that solved it!
