The 3-room villa was spacious, kitchen well equipped with crockeries and utensils, all bedrooms with attached toilets, natural surrounding with many birds, all bedrooms with twin beds & proximity to the main entrance of Kinabalu National Park.
Limited parking space, steep slope to go down to the parking and get out of the parking lot, slow water pressure for the shower, no ceiling in the living hall & dining hall, so quite cold at night & poor Wi-Fi signal (can be improved).

Clise to KNP, just be careful walking along the main road. Room was clean, bed comfortable. Entire front wall is glass, which are closed by curtains. Bathroom was interesting, with a natural boulder sticking up in the shower and river-like floor design (which did nothing to redirect the water away from the rest of the bathroom floor), but the shower did have hot water, even if the room was rather cold. Staff responded to WhatsApp messages promptly and stored my luggage for me both on day of arrival and departure.
Most hotels have a goal of making the guest feel at home. This hotel seemed more of a business interested in protecting itself. They required a security deposit of MR50 in cash, even though I had made and paid for the booking with the credit card. In the room was a sign listing how much you would have to pay if any items on the long list went missing. It would have been nicer to have small things such as a welcome sign, instructions about Wi-Fi, and ways to make guests feel more comfortable instead of like potential thieves.

Providing it's a resort for nature lovers, all in all it was a good experience. Actually it was better than we thought as it was cleaner in the room and there was decent warm water in the shower, so, providing you're staying in the mountains walking distance from the national park Kinabalu, it was incredible. As a bonus, there's very good and reasonably priced restaurant nearby. The territory is clean and pleasant. Providing it's very humid and a little chilly in the area it's helpful that for additional fee you can rent an additional blanket.
The walls are very thin, so if you're unlucky your neighbors will irritate you with noise. But usually it's not the case as most people there are hikers, and they go to bed pretty early. It's quite humid and cold in the room, but I can hardly see what you can do to fix it and still be "close to nature"

5 mins walk from National Park entrance. Perfect place for an overnight stay before a summit climb. Good value. Low cost. Staff were kind and polite. The room was clean. Nice balcony. Plenty of space to organise stuff.
This is a very cheap place to get a decent sleep before going into the National Park. So you can’t really complain as it did the job. But for those looking to be clear on things. Yes, there is a kettle in the room. Other cooking facilities not obvious. Yes you have to pay for extra pillows and blankets. We didn’t need any. Yes the white sheets have a few stains (maybe from being hung outside to dry?) but they were clean and freshly laundered. We thought it was a great spot. But it’s clearly not a 5 star hotel. If you want a posher place then pay 8 times the price for Sutera Lodge.

Feels like in the middle of nature. The rooms were spacious (enough), private and comfortable. Many friendly cats on the property.
The shared kitchen only contains a tab, sink and firepit. There are no utensils. Hard to find a ride to Kundasang (or other public transportation), so without an own car it is hard to get around (nearly impossible). Limited amount of restaurants nearby.

the bed very comfortable!! The View and the room are very clean!!
i think there is one staff that sit at the table. Male one. Quite arrogant. Did not want to see my face and slow response. The practical better than the senior one. when i call the number always did not pickup. Also slow in response in Whatsapps. Need to improve on that.

Water pressure n heating not strong.need to boil water for extra heat. The entrance is a nightmare.steep at 120 degree possibly..i mistakenly rent a very mediocre car..couldnt get out of d property unless being pushed manually by 5men So i parked outside.n hike up like hiking to gunung kinabalu..hahha I rented 1 of double cabin..everytime new people went in.we can feel the roll of their luggage

- Great location next to many restaurants and super close to the park entrance! - Really peaceful environment with great views - Large light filled room
Outdoor bathroom had low water pressure and didn’t get fully hot (lukewarm the first day, warm the second day). Also there were two large spiders with bodies the size of my pinky fingers just outside the bathroom. But maybe they kept bugs away since we actually didn’t see many bugs in the bathroom 🤷🏻♀️

Beautiful wooden cottages in the middle of hills, lot of flowers around, walking distance (around 400 m) from Kinabalu Park main entrance.
No public transport. Drivers are expensive. If you are unlucky like we were you will not sleep good. Our neighbours in the same cottage had children running around the room early in the morning and late in the evening. It's wooden cottage, you hear every step of your neighbour!! It could be really nice and calm stay without people like these.

Very close to Kinabalu Park. Bathroom is provided for each room in the villa.
You can’t see Mt Kinabalu from the property itself although the hillside view is still stunning though. Water pressure is a bit slow though and there is no wardrobe or clothes rack in the room.
