It was at a good price but away from Edinburgh. One needs to take Scotrail train to reach. Burntisland station from hotel is a 5 minute walk. The Hotel manager couple from Punjab, India are very courteous and responsive. Room and bathroom size was great. We had the top floor with one double and single bed for 2 persons. Coop supermarkets is close by 3-4 mins walk. Wifi was good.

One needs train to travel to Edinburgh which costs around 8-9 pounds onw way per person. There is no lift. Heating was not that good. And our room was on top, third floor so we had carry all the luggage by yourself. There is no microwave in room or possibility of heating food. Burntisland is quite small town with very few restaurants closeby to eat.

Good sized warm, clean room with a large tv and comfortable bed. The heating can be adjusted to your liking too.

Parking wasn’t always available and I had to drive around until a space appeared. Was ok most of the time though.

Very good value for money even with a £10 late check-in charge given we did arrive until nearly midnight where the owner contacted me to advise of the late check-in and I was able to provide him with a ETA which was a little bit later than expected. Overall very good value for money with a clean en-suite room & comfortable bed which was all that we required.

We stayed on the top floor and after recently having 2 knee operations the stairs were very steep and a challenge for me to get up and we had to be very careful with having a small child as well but the stairs would be no problem for a fitter & younger person than myself.

I would like to mention that the management couple would are the most humble, polite and happy humans I have met. Having stayed in thousands of hotels, hostels and B&B along with 25 years in hospitality , my overall thoughts are Burntisland house provides the perfect place for anyone working on contracts or attending the docks or Edinburgh for training. I’d also recommend this place if you like beautiful walks, as everyday I soaked up the see breeze along the coastal path to Aberdour. I would happily book another night , solely to meet the managers and see their progress within Burntisland hotel and sneak a wee walk 😁

Everything..very clean

The room was comfortable, large and very clean. We loved the high ceilings and the shutters on the windows. The only steps were up to the front door. It was very close to the main shopping area and eateries. The beach is just beyond the shops across a large park. The train is 5 minutes walk away (via the short cut): the bus even closer. The staff were very friendly and accommodating

The heating cut out during the day.Being the middle of winter this was uncomfortable but it was turned on for us. Thanks. Some cupboard space to put clothes and rails and pegs for towels & clothes in bathroom are needed. And a toaster would be great as cafes only opened at 9am. Especially since we stayed 7 nights. I believe it’s a newly set up room so next time ………….

It’s my favourite hotel in Burntisland now and have stayed here on many occasion, I cannot fault it for the price, It’s Spotlessly clean has lots of light from massive windows, free on street parking, power shower, smart tv & last but not least a nice friendly host!

Can do with faster WiFi.

The room was large, the bedding was clean and comfortable. The staff is kind and attentive. WiFi is excellent. Free parking is provided. +++++

Location is great. Short walking distance to shops and restaurants. Comfortable room and fantastic water pressure. It’s very quiet and the shutters definitely keep the light from streaming in now the run is rising earlier. Free wifi and friendly staff. You can’t go wrong. Second stay and in a different room this time and still will be coming back again.

The bottles of soap and shampoo could be taken out and cleaned but overall nothing i didn’t like
