Older style guest house on the main road through the town, near the station. It was easy to find with clear instructions on where to find free parking on the street close by. Check-in was quick and easy with an actual human, a nice welcoming guy who told us where the key things were in the town. The twin room was huge, and we could actually move in the bathroom, unlike some other hotels of the same kind of age and price. It’s an older style, pretty basic, but all clean and comfortable with comfortable mattresses and pillows. Easy walk to the beach, local Co-op and restaurants and cafes. Quiet town so no issue being on the main road. A good overnight stop on our road trip around Fife.

No lift - no issue for us but could be for others as I think most rooms were up the stairs.

I originally booked for 1 week and stayed for 4 months. Burntisland House is always my "Go To" place to stay when I'm working in the Edinburgh area. I drive slightly further than I normally would for accommodation because it is worth it. To be able to sit out in the vast Garden after a day at work, is an added bonus. The Host's are extremely friendly and are always available should you need anything, and the rooms are serviced daily. Thank you Burntisland House.

It was at a good price but away from Edinburgh. One needs to take Scotrail train to reach. Burntisland station from hotel is a 5 minute walk. The Hotel manager couple from Punjab, India are very courteous and responsive. Room and bathroom size was great. We had the top floor with one double and single bed for 2 persons. Coop supermarkets is close by 3-4 mins walk. Wifi was good.

One needs train to travel to Edinburgh which costs around 8-9 pounds onw way per person. There is no lift. Heating was not that good. And our room was on top, third floor so we had carry all the luggage by yourself. There is no microwave in room or possibility of heating food. Burntisland is quite small town with very few restaurants closeby to eat.

Excellent value and a basic yet comfortable stay in a great location. Four minute walk to the railway station or bus stop 80m away.

Small thing, but An extra glass or cup to fill the kettle which won’t itself fit under the tap.

Good sized warm, clean room with a large tv and comfortable bed. The heating can be adjusted to your liking too.

Parking wasn’t always available and I had to drive around until a space appeared. Was ok most of the time though.

Staff were friendly and efficient. Room was spacious and bathroom was modern with a nice shower.

The smell in the lobby was not pleasant. The bed frames need tightening very squeaky

Lovely big room. Very central but quiet.

It was a bit disconcerting that the room key was used for the front door as well as the room. Does that mean one key fits all the rooms?

large room, comfy beds, TV was a fire stick and had loads of options. Easy check out, pleasant staff

It met all our needs. Clean, easy to commute to Edinburgh & other major tourist sites, friendly local pubs & eateries…

Large, comfortable room. Spacious bathroom. All very clean. Member of staff very pleasant. Very good value for money.
