It was exceptionally clean and up-to-date. Easy to find and very tasteful in the seating and eating arrangements in the dining area. Interesting decor and I liked the music in the background. The lady that attended to us was just lovely and so helpful.

Not much TBH.

I loved the unique character and style of the building and common areas and the modern decor with quirky finishing touches to the bedroom. Everything was beautifully clean and well thought out and we particularly liked the shared kitchen/ snug area it had everything we needed for a lovely stay. Absolutely loved having breakfast down in the very cool bike cafe, the staff were all super friendly and the owners even popped over to see how we were all getting on. I was pleasantly surprised to find an egg boiling machine as part of the breakfast set up, so the well stocked continental breakfast was topped off with eggs and soldiers! :-) We were really impressed with the great set up which is perfect for motorbike and cycle tourers as well as hikers, as it's great to have somewhere to dry wet gear and the communal sung to hang out with your group. I'd also like to say a big thank you to the owners for being so accommodating in allowing our son to camp in our room when his plans fell through at the last minute. We'd definitely stay here again and I've already reccomended it to my family.

The only problem was that the room was a little too warm for me and I wasn't sure how to fix this. (Although it could just be that I didn't read through the welcome information as we arrived two hours later than planned, rushed out for dinner and then went straight to bed!)

Loved the cleanliness and comfortableness of the bed and room. Some quirky bedroom furnishings. Shower room was toasty and very clean. Extra room available opposite to ours with extra refreshments and seating. Also a microwave. Good directions and ease of entrance to accommodation. Good communication from owners. The breakfast was downstairs in the cafe. Tasty continental. The history of the building was obvious and lots of things to look at. Friendly staff. Lovely outlook to the church opposite and the bells ringing.

We were right on the road, so traffic was obvious. Some may not like the church bells on each hour...BUT owners left ear plugs just in case...we didn't use them though.

Such a comfortable, accommodating place in the heart of lovely Crediton. It is a short walk to the station for quickly getting int and out of Exeter, while also being on the doorstep of Crediton's own amenities. Rooms were well appointed and very comfortable and we enjoyed the shared kitchen/lounge area. Breakfast in the main café was simple and plentiful, with great coffee. Free parking opposite is really useful too in a town where parking can be in short supply.

The motion-sensor lights in the rooms are probably good energy saving initiatives, but I couldn't find a way to switch these off and it ends up waking others in the room if you get up in the middle of the night / early morning!

Quirky place in a very good way. I arrived early evening and there were bikers everywhere (they weren’t in the accommodation part). The business happens to have a Thursday night social night for bikers and I’d arrived on a Thursday. Went in to the building and everyone was really friendly, staff and customers alike. So later I find out that they have the Thursday night thing, only during Summer and at 9pm it’s all finished. The premises are an amazing use of the building and spotless. They have a cafe, clothing store, motorcycle apparel and the accommodation upstairs. They also apparently customise motorcycles in an onsite workshop (which I didn’t see at all). SOOOO well run. Clearly good business people with a diverse, efficient and spotless set up. The accommodation is upstairs and the rooms are of a very high standard. Modern and well equipped. They have STUNNING motorcycles in the lounge/cafe area which look like they are display pieces but are actually for sale (new and shiny). I’m not making it sound very good I’m sure but a lovely find and you will feel welcome whoever you are. I’ll upload some pics.

There isn’t a full bar but they sell beer and there are pubs and restaurants within walking distance.

Situated above a motorcycle shop / cafe. Cafe is very nice with excellent coffee and cakes. Cafe is where breakfast is served in the morning. Rooms were very clean. What sets this apart is that there is a communal lounge for the 5-6 bedrooms. This lounge has a full kitchen with tea coffee milk and biscuits with fridge full of supplies and milk. Breakfast is continental and comes with the hotels own blend of excellent coffee. Staff are really friendly Definitely worth a stay

Only issue is front rooms are on the main road and can be a little noisy, they do provide earplugs

I arrived late around 8pm in the evening - the owner was on site hosting a motorbike fraternity social evening (all quiet and over by 9pm) and I was helped every step of the way to find somewhere to park my car, shown where the entrance was to the rooms - above but separate to the shop and cafe which is really nice. I was a lone elderly lady (65) who had just finished helping my daughter move to the area, the rooms above the cafe were perfectly located for me at the end of a long tiring day of moving, the room itself was so well appointed and state of the art refurbished to a high level. Comfy bed, thoughtful touches with a carafe of water and a good air fan (it was a hot day) and a sitting room that I did not use for tea and coffee. Breakfast was selfservice downstairs in the cafe. Everyone was both helpful and very welcoming. As a non motorbiker I could not have been made more welcome or made to feel more at home. I will certainly be returning.

Coded access to the room. Very clean and cosy rooms. The bed was probably one of the comfiest we've slept in.

It was a very warm night,so had to have the window open, even though there is a fan in the room. It's on a main road, and also opposite a church where the bells chime every hour. This isn't a complaint though. Everything else makes up for it.

Superb family run hotel with really thoughtful attention to detail. Room was comfortable and spotless. Common room with kitchen facilities, milk in fridge and biscuits was a bonus. Two wheel theme was right up my street. Continental breakfast was excellent, the egg boiler was foolproof! No hesitation in highly recommending.

Couldn’t fault it.

So great to have a shared living room/kitchenette space to chill out in, too. The whole place was spotless, spacious and comfortable. Someone has a real flair for design - the whole place has a great vibe.

The only thing I can think of that might be worth highlighting to others is that there is a bit of traffic noise - it's on the main street through Crediton (hardly a motorway but still, don't go expecting only to hear the sound of birds). No people noise at all though.
