The room was very spacious and allowed us to have space to play games and walk around the bed. The bed was extremely comfortable and air conditioning worked better than any hotel we've stayed at before. The location is right on Main Street within walking distance of shopping, eating and attractions. Staff was courteous and helpful and the private beach gives a beautiful view of the lake.

The only two things I would recommend are; adding tissues to the night stand in the living space instead of just in the bathroom and adding some sort of night light in the bathroom as the rooms are extremely dark and it makes it hard to see in the middle of the night when you don't want to use the main light.

Everything about this hotel is exceptional! I always book a lakeview room, and the views are amazing.

I was warned that I didn't want to be there during a hockey tournament, and while I'd always like to be there, I have to say GA staff was correct! The kids were very loud running up and down the halls and using foul language. They were throwing items at the ducks in the lake. I expected crowded, but not rude. However, not the hotel's fault at all and I'm very thankful they let me keep my room during the tournament.

Loved the view, the bed was comfy and appreciated the extra soft blanket to put on top of the comforter. Easy access to main street, friendly staff. Enjoyed late-night access to the pool/hotub/sauna. Staff was great.

Some areas could use updating/maintenance. I didn't expect parts of the hotel to be as dated as it was. The layout was odd with additions they clearly added as they grew in popularity. I had trouble finding the gym/pool as the hallways signs could have been clearer.

The hotel was well located, sitting on Mirror Lake. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the lake. The rooms were basic but were large and functional. Overall, good value for money. We had one breakfast which was very good but, otherwise, did not eat at the restaurant. The staff on reception were very helpful (and the cookies were delicious!).

Could maybe do with a refurb. Some of the hotel looked a little tired.

Our 2nd-floor room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed to stay for a few days. Very convenient to downtown shops and restaurants. Beautiful lake views. Easy parking. Smallish TV and very expensive in-room movies ($21). Friendly staff.

Heat/AC vent was strong and blew directly onto the beds. We put a magazine into the edge of the vent to divert the rush of air. Other than the direction of the airflow, the room temperature was comfortable.

Beautiful piece of property, second time there and will continue to book if I travel to lake placid again. The location is right in the heart of the town and within walking distance to everything.

Honestly everything is great, just wasn’t a fan of the toilets, I don’t like my feet hanging on the ground lol. The hot tub could be hotter, just minor things

This property is directly on the lake with free kayaks, paddle boards, towels, etc. The location is good and the amenities were quality. The TV had many channels and the linens/towels were comfy.

I wish the property enforced quiet hours as it was noisy well into the night. I also wish there was a place to sign up for the kayaks instead of just first come, first serve.

The room was very nice, the view and location of the hotel was amazing. The staff and amenities were great.

The layout of the hotel was a little confusing at times. Having to go down a level to get to the other side and then go back up to the same level through another area. The one real disappointment was the air conditioner/fan in the room. It was an old unit and very loud.

It is a great location; you can walk most places or take a short ride to get there. It was nice to have a place to eat attached. Loved all the extras like pool and fitness. The promptness the staff took to replace our faulty coffee maker.

Can't think of anything for us personally. I do think the room doors should have a stop or something to hold them open so the luggage carts aren't hitting them, possibly causing damage. Just an observation.

We had a beautiful and spacious room overlooking the lake. We were in town for the World Championship Synchronized skating competition which took up much of our time. We did find time to use the pool which was great. We also ate at the on site restaurant 4 times. The food was great value for the money and the staff was warm and efficient and the service was fast.

The weather, obviously not their fault.
