Excellent apartment in a wonderful location! Conveniently accessible, clean, with breathtaking sea views, and with polite and efficient staff running it! Would look no further if visiting again the true gem of an island that Pico is!

The only negative point one can mention is that the accommodation, while reasonably new, is starting to show some signs of wear and tear (e.g. scratches on the walls, stains on the kitchen counter and in the bathroom, etc.). A very minor point in the greater scheme of things, and certainly not the end of the world, but it does highlight the need for attention to detail.

We had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel! The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. What really made the experience stand out was the exceptional service. A special thanks to the manager, Ana — she was incredibly helpful, kind, and went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect. Her warm and welcoming attitude made me feel right at home. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay!

If you hapoen to arrive to a remote island as Pico here is #1 essential for you: Ana, the actual manager of this property, a stranger-sister whom you did not know you have, who just gets you. Apart from a very nice high end property, Ana took care of me, and my expectations from this vacation. She know everything in the Island by heart. She is generous, kind and smiley! I stayed extra 6 nights because of her welcoming approach!

Spacious duplex with beautiful seaview, large terrace, modern decoration, well equiped kitchen, dishwasher, good internet, clean, well maintained. Staff extremely kind and helpful, very pleasant. Location beautiful, right on the shore, but a bit away from Madalena, definitively need a rental car if you stay here. Included breakfast is simple, but fresh and practical.

Loved this place, if I need to say anything negative: the bathroom is lacking a bit of space to put private items.

A beautiful property, setting and facilities offering privacy, peace and quiet. The view from the room and terrace over to Faial was beautiful. The hosts were very accommodating when we arrived late due to car hire issues. The annotated map of the island they provided was very useful for finding places to eat. The self service breakfast to eat in our room was good

The site is currently being developed further, it would be great to have a communal laundry room for guests

I was impressed by the ocean view. The breakfast rolls and croissants were fresh and delicious. Having wine and beer and soft drinks available on the honor system was convenient since we did not have a car.

If we waited until the last hour for breakfast some things were gone.

We had a wonderful stay. The staff - Ana Paula couldn't be any more friendly and was a wealth of knowledge. We stayed in February so it was slow season and we were the only ones there. The apartment had everything you need if you'd like to cook yourself, it was super cozy, we loved being able to open the deck door or the window in the bedroom and look out at and listen to the ocean. Truly fantastic, not a single complaint and would stay again in heartbeat.

Very nicely decorated two-floor apartment, friendly staff (especially Anna) who explained us everything and gave us a lot of recommendations what to do on Pico Island. The apartment is also very close to the sea and has an outdoor terrace. Definitely recommended to have a sea view apartment and a rental car.

Nothing, everything was perfect.

Beautiful apartment and surroundings, with great view of both the ocean and the volcano. The host was very helpful and friendly, and we really appreciated the hand annotated map of the island she gifted us. Following her advice, we had a very nice stay on Pico visiting the places she suggested. The apartment is very modern and well equipped with all the appliances we could want during our stay.

Vinhas to Calhau is an amazing apartment hotel in probably the best location of Pico. The view from the terrace is simply amazing. Rooms are super spacious on two floors. For families it is amazing. The hotel was very supporting in helping us renting a car, which is not easy in Pico. This is The place to go in Pico.

There a was misunderstanding on the reservation of an additional service. I suggest more clarity... and to request a deposit or verify on the arrival, so as to avoid any misunderstanding. I know it may sound arrogant but... 4 stars means also preventing misunderstandings. Suggest to provide different bins for differentiated collection of waste
