Excellent location, right in the city center and close to the best places to walk around. The employees are kind, which is something I value. They contacted me in advance to see if I wanted to leave my bags before the check-in, as my flight arrived in the morning, I didn't need it, but as nice of them to offer it. Renting a car is mandatory to visit the island. The Faial botanical garden and the Capelinhos Volcano Interpretation Centre are impressive places.

Unfortunately the storm stole my time outdoors. Fortunately, the accommodation allows you to have all the amenities to enjoy indoors, including a reading space. Nonetheless, with good weather, the island should be a very pleasant. After returning the car at the airport I went to the maritime terminal to visit Pico Island and the taxi (30€) was almost the same price as two days of rent-a-car and fuel (58,05€).

Extremely friendly hostal, lovely clean rooms - the ones on the 3d floor have great views over the harbour and Pico volcano), easy access with codes or receptionist onsite, early check in, great facilities (open kitchen, fridge, lockers, common lounge), simple breakfast included, in Horta's center with restaurants and harbour just nearby.

Unfortunately as a light sleeper, it was too noisy for me.. the hostal is located on a busy cobbled road, many cars.... Light sleepers will need earplugs. Otherwise it is a gem of place.

Very friendly staff. Great breakfast. Room "tern" under the roof is superb with great view over Horta harbour. Absolutely worth the extra money towards the Standard rooms in lower floors. Super comfy beds.

Thin walls, so noise from neighbours as in most hotels can be a problem. Central city location can be a disadvantage when people celebrate outside at famous Peters Café until late at night/early in the morning.

The location is great because everything in Horta is just a few steps away. The view of Pico from the room is fantastic and despite the bars and cafes close by, the windows and shutters ensure a good night's sleep. The breakfast is a good deal and coffee, fruit and cake are available all day. I was worried I might have trouble finding parking because of the central location, but there was always a spot available somewhere.

The location is fabulous, and getting into my room was very easy as great instructions were sent. So well thought out; it's all you need when you are out all day. Breakfast was offered. Very well equipped communal kitchen, and comfy lounge. I loved the combination of private room and bathroom, but other shared spaces. Very high quality of decor and facilities and AC was an added bonus. Environmentally conscious business.

Excellent twin with an added sofa, with top-quality amentities, service-minded staff, among other things contacting you proactively to organize check-in if there's a risk you may arrive later than front desk operating times. Brochures and leaflets aplenty at the front desk for information on Horta and Faial. Good breakfast, although coffee was sometimes a bit short in supply. All in all a property that makes you feel at home at once.

The price to pay for the splendid view of the marina, the bay and Mount Pico across the channel is a quiet sleep. Whatever the speed of the car, the tires on cobbles under your window are loud, and all the youths on their mopeds, the bike not running and the speed of sound, make you hear the sound of speed half the night, at least on week-ends. Sound insulation in general is not this place's forte. Plus, a little info would have been appreciated that the real life happens around Porto Pim in the Angústias neighborhood rather than around the marina that everybody talks about, at least when I was there and half of the quays in the Matriz neighborhood were seriously closed off for roadworks.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. Being close to the marina was very convenient. Having access to the kitchen and a separate locker for personal food was a plus. Screens on the windows. Large bathroom.

It’s hard to block out the music and noise from neighbourhood on weekend nights.

This is a great place to stay in Horta. The location couldn't be more central to all the nice places. Always found parking right under the apartment. The check-in process was smooth. The room was spacious and stocked. I would highly recommend asking for a sea facing room on the 2nd level from which you can see the ocean and Pico on a clear day.

The AC was a bit sketchy. Didn't work perfectly well but did the job.

The property is just perfect as it is central and easily reachable on foot from the harbour in case you're coming or going by ferry. The vibe is amazing and you'll enjoy the life in Horta with its small pubs when you come back from long days outdoor. The property was clean and the staff super friendly. The architecture and interiors were neatNothing crazy... Basic stuff that just worked

Breakfast was good but a little bit more of variety would have been nice to have. The building is over the main promenade and the nightlife might be a bit noisy but nothing crazy

Honestly, everything. It was clean. It was comfortable. It was spacious. My partner and I both had room to spread out. The communal spaces were kept immaculate and were so pleasant. The staff is awesome. The kitchen was awesome and easy to use. The rooftop was lovely. I’ll be staying here again no question.
