Went to Gaylord for a family wedding/reception in Elmira. Our family had major complaints about their 4/5 star ⭐ Hotels that they paid "the big bucks" for and were extremely disappointed, my brother in law even said that he had to fix the A/C unit in the room, himself 😞. While my daughter and I were very pleased and remarkably comfortable in our room, set to OUR perfect temperature 😊 It's usually hit or miss with both of us having disability issues and myself usually having major problems with the height of the mattress in most Hotels and not being able to get into the bed 🛏️ w/o a step stool and also issues with showering w/o a shower chair but I had absolutely no problems with either of these and the water pressure 🚿 was so excellent that I just sat on the edge of the tub 🛁 bc the shower curtain is at an arc and I put towels on the floor to catch the extra water 💦 which was actually minimal. Our room was clean and breakfast was fine which made for a pleasant stay ☺️ We plan on going back next Summer and even though our activities will be elsewhere, WE will be staying with the wonderful staff at America's Best 😁 P.S. I was pleasantly surprised to find out when we arrived, that the rooms were inside not outside, still don't know where I got the idea that it was a Motel 😎

The ONLY problem that we ran into was that the soda/vending machine was out of order and we were extremely thirsty for something other than water. No worries, STUFF HAPPENS ‼️ We just ordered door dash and got food to boot 😋 If that's all there was to complain about then give me a break 💯

I've been coming here to the Americas Best Value Inn located on the outskirts of Gaylord by Burger King and dollar general for about a year and a half now, and i just thought that I don't think that I've ever taken the time to give these wonderful people a review that they properly deserve. First thing that comes to mind, the scent♥️ it smells SOO fresh every time I come here, it's so clean EVERY visit, no exaggeration. These people take pride in their lodging and it shows! Listen, if you want a a headache, rooms next to each other with loud people, stinky floors, a broken TV and WiFi that does not work 3 quarters of your stay, then this place is NOT FOR YOU! It's literally the opposite of the previous sentence, ABVI is PERFECT♥️ It is SO welcoming and comfortable. The TV works every time, with GREAT picture and funtionality. You can just tell that there's love put into prepping these rooms, unlike other places I've been. I can't think of anything bad about this place, other than the fact that I wish that I could stay longer! Lol! It is a great place to stay, and probably the cheapest price you're going to find in Michigan for a hotel at this quality. It's not over the top, and it's FAAARRRR from not cared for or tended to. Everytime I've checked in and arrived at my door, the rooms haven't once been messy or smelly or anything out of order. Always greeted with a fresh feeling and scent behind every door. Very friendly staff as well, very welcoming and will make you feel right at home :) I've been coming here for 2 years now and I've never had a bad experience(Coming from a Booking.Com Genius level three) I can't say it enough; Awesome hotel. Best place to stay in northern Michigan in my opinion. My favorite place to stay and relax, 150%. The housekeepers as well as the receptionist really do deserve more credit. For what they do to make this place as cozy as it is. Always impressed. Homey as heck...

The location, just off the freeway and next to a gas station/convenience store, was very helpful on our quick trip up north. We slept well in a sizable, comfortable room with 2 queen beds, bathtub/shower, fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, and extra blankets in the closet. We were in a 1st floor room, with a window next to the parking lot, but it was nice and quiet for the most part (the guests upstairs started being a bit noisy around 7:00am). Loved the make-your-own waffles at breakfast--along with granola, bagels, cream cheese, oatmeal, etc.

The free breakfast (from 6:00-9:30) was a nice surprise! The coffee and tea were fine, but the juice machine had a note saying it was out of order.

The place looks older but it was a pleasant stay the house keepers took care of us. Bobby at the front desk is hard working an very polite and professional it's quiet and the location is great dollar general is 2/10 of a mile away an also 2 dispensaries which are very affordable so that was a huge plus for location.

I honestly don't have anything to complain about the stay was great an we will return in the future nice big rooms an good staff honestly nothing bad to say about this property. We stayed at Hampton inn in Gaylord Michigan a couple weeks later an I wouldn't stay there again I will go to America's best value inn

Facilities and room were clean. Beds are comfortable. Building was quiet. Location is very convenient off the highway. Overall, a very nice stay.

Like many places, the bed pillows could use an upgrade… and for that reason, I always bring my own. It was also unfortunate that the coffee machine was out of order the morning we left but luckily there is a convenience store next door.

The common areas were clean. The room was clean. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was very clean. The room had mini fridge, mini microwave, one cup coffee maker and hair dryer. The staff I met was quite personable. Breakfast was available WITH WAFFLE MAKER (yum!). I would 100% stay here again.

Staff Bobby was very helpful with troubleshooting my tv.He also carried my suitcase up the stairs to my room.The room was well stocked and warmed up quickly.

A little cleaner in certain spots such as the top of fridge door frame(crumbs of a sort) and streaky mirrors.Just little stuff to add that inviting touch.

I liked being on the first floor. Our room was handicap accessable which was nice to have the extra room in the bathroom.

tub drained slow, I think it needs to be cleaned. Probably lots of long hair getting caught in the drain areas were patched but not painted Carpet felt like it needed to be steam cleaned

The room I had was awesome, big and handicap accessible! Bathroom was huge! It was great, I look forward to stay there again soon and the same room! The guy seemed to be cleaning all the time lol

Just a little noisy at times, but for the most part quiet and peaceful!
