Big, nice room with bedroom and living room in one room separated with half wall. Kitchen with all dishes and microwave and big fridge. Big terrace with perfect view (sea). Big and nice swimming pool but water little bit cold. Swimming pool works from 9am-8pm. From reception you get a voucher discount 4€ per person for your first cocktail in the bar near the pool (regular price for cocktail is 7,5€ and first one with discount you pay just 3,5€). Cocktails are really big and nice decorated. You have free parking on the street just in front of your hotel. But if you come back to hotel after 7pm it’s amount impossible to find a parking spot. Parking on the street is free on the all island

Hotel is on the hill and to the city center you have to go by stairs, a lot of stairs, maybe more then 200 😅 didn’t count. We had breakfast and dinner in the hotel. Not a lot of choice. For breakfast (from 8am-10:30) you can take water, juice and coffees for free. For dinner (from 19:30-22) you don’t get even water. Prices are not high (small water 1,5€) but usually in every hotel water during the meal is free. Deserts are not delicious at all. Food is pretty similar every day (they change 1-2 main dishes per day). Tennis court is 10€/hour without coach and if you need rackets and balls that’s 10€ extra. So to play with your partner and have a little bit fun will cost you 20€ without coach. That must be cheaper for hotel guests.

We have spent our summer holiday here for the second year in a row now, as we truly love it here. Everything, the friendly staff, the location, the pool and also “family friendly” vibe of the hotel - everything is exactly what we’re looking for when we want a relaxed vacation. They also offer daycare / play date for children on certain days - our daughter Mia absolutely loved it! Masaru is a great family friendly facility and we will definitely return!

As we take 13-14 days of vacation there, after a week the food becomes a bit monotonous. But it’s nevertheless delicious and we ate like kings!

Very nice hotel, great breakfast/dinner.

Although close to downtown, but appx 100m above the sea level. Lots of stairs to get there. Parking around the hotel is not easy. Restaurant can get very busy during breakfast and dinner. Smoking is permitted on the balcony and windows are mostly open due to the lack of air conditioning so if anyone smokes in the rooms around you, it's like living with a smoker. This is also true for the pool area. They also smoke in front of the restaurant window and at the hotel entrance. And a lot of people do smoke. It is almost impossible to find a smoke free area in the hotel :(

We loved the room - far more spacious than we expected. The bed was comfortable, and the room had its couch corner with a TV, sink, and fridge. And a terrace! We did not pay extra for it; it seems that all rooms are this spacious. The living room corner was such a pleasant surprise. The terrace had a view of the pool. All in all, amazing! Clean, calm, cozy, friendly and helpful staff, nice breakfast. The room was cleaned every morning. Nice restaurants and bars a minute walk from the hotel.

Nothing much, really. There was some construction work going on at the pool site, but as we were out of the apartment all day, it was not an inconvenience. Plus, we were informed about it well in advance via email. Very transparent communication.

the hotel was in a great location with restaurants and bars just outside the hotel, it was a short walk or bus/taxi ride into Puerto de la Cruz. the room was dated but clean and had everything you wanted, the bed was comfy and was cleaned every day except Saturdays. The breakfast was plain but there was plenty of it and was tasty. the pool was great it was heated and had steps into it(rather then a ladder)

there was nothing really to complain about, the rubbish in the room could had been sorted into recyclables, it would have been nice to had a milk jug at breakfast and you could only get out one side of the bad as it was right up to a room divider. but I'm been picky and these things did not stop use enjoying the holiday.

I really enjoyed my stay here! The food was amazing — every day they served something new for dinner, like freshly cooked meat or fish, and breakfasts were just as tasty. The place is super clean, quiet, and peaceful — perfect for relaxing ☺️ I loved that there was a real bathtub, not just a shower. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and the people in the restaurant were especially kind and welcoming. In the room, there was a small kitchen with everything you need: fridge, microwave, plates, cutlery. The view from the window was just wow, ocean on one side, mountains on the other. Unreal😍 The territory of the hotel is cozy and beautiful, with a pool and birds singing in the morning — felt like a little oasis. Parking was easy and free right next to the hotel, which was super convenient. One thing to note — the hotel is on a hill, so the beach is about 20 minutes down on foot🤪 Coming back means climbing quite a few steps, but honestly, the peaceful vibe and the views up there are totally worth it. Also, there’s a beautiful spot nearby to watch the sunset — absolutely magical. Plus lots of cafés, restaurants, and shops just a short walk away.

We always love to stay at the Masaru as it is ideally located for us.Also we were previously informed that the pool was being maintained and would not usable.

Unfortunately this time I didn't feel welcomed as I usually do. When we arrived we gave our name and we're just told booking is after 14.00hrs and asked to come back after then. Yes we were early and early check in is not always available, however our booking wasn't looked at I had requested an early check in if possible. We weren't offered the possibility of leaving our bags or processing some of the paper work ( as it was very quiet )and coming back later to collect the keys. The rest of the time it was as usual a lovely stay. If early check in is not available why on the booking form why is the arrival time requested? If the booking had been looked at and we were told yes I see you have requested an early arrival however your room is not ready.

Location is very good as it is a short walk from the city centre. Surrounded my cafés, bars, restaurants and supermarkets. Swimming pool is very nice. Room was big enough for 3 people and it had a nice balcony overlooking the ocean.

Room wasn't cleaned /tidied when we asked. There was a huge selection of food for every meal but not everything was tasty. The hotel in general could do with some renovations as it is getting a bit old and dated. Sockets in our bedroom came off easily when you removed the phone chargers... Room faced the street and it was a bit noisy in the evening because of all the bars.

This was our second trip there and not the last one. We are very sensitive to many things, yet we went back, so this should tell much about the place. The staff were excellent and very friendly. They do their utmost to welcome you and help you with anything. On arrival, we received a room with a bit of worn out mattress, but mentioning it in the reception solved the problem as they sent a man to replace the mattresses with brand new ones. From there on, our holiday was perfect.

If there is anything that can be improved, it could be the staff's English. Some staff speak a little, others pretend they do, but very few truly understand it. But they still manage to help you. Also, a few more kitchen utensils and cutlery would be welcome. Otherwise, the place is just perfect.

Good hotel with great breakfast and dinner. Staff was kind and helpful. Rooms were clean and had a nice view. Pool was spacious and good for swimming and relaxing too.

We changed our room, because it was loud due to the near karaoke bar, but the second room was quite. Finding a parking place was difficult in the late afternoon/evening.
