If you are travelling to Perugia on a budget, this is a great choice of accomodation! The location of the hotel, as a base for visiting Perugia and the region, is fantastic - 3 min to the minimetro (which in itself is so much fun), taxi stand and a train station right across the street (for travels to Assisi, Spoleto), minimarket and pharmacy dowstairs. The hotel is clean and has all you may need, though of course relative to the price and being a two star facility. The Staff is wonderful (at the 24/7 reception), very helpful. I can recommend Astor for sure!

The breakfast had only sweet treats but overall it was still fresh and tasty - but it's a matter of preference.

The hotel (common areas and my room) were really clean, the room cleaning was done every day and my bed sheets were always tightened. WiFi was fast during my stay. The staff was really hospitable, polite and really helpful with all of the usual questions (public transport, nearby stores and shops, directions to get to the city center etc.). The hotel location is great if you get to Perugia by train because the train station is right across the street. Also public transport station is across the street, both can be reached through underground passage). There is also big market across the street (Coop), but also mini market nearby the hotel, pharmacy, mobile operator store, fast food (chicken based) store.

The shower head in my bathroom had really narrow but strong water stream (jet) which was kind a stingling to me. The choice for breakfast was mostly sweet stuff (croissants, jams, cereals etc.) and I prefer salty food in the morning so maybe I suggestion to have some nice ham and cheese in the offer. Please bear in mind that the breakfast options was just a remark based on a personal preference and not a bad review :)

The room we stayed in was like a time capsule. Very cool. Conveniently located right next to the train station. We only stayed a night in Perugia but the front desk staff gave us prepared a map upon arrival and outlined how to get to the historic city center, where to walk for the best for the best views, important landmarks and gave us a great recommendation for a restaurant (and told us areas to avoid grabbing a bite). Staff alone was 10/10.

Extremely friendly and responsive staff. We did not expect such good service and cleanliness considering that it is a two-star hotel. For everyone who wants to stay in Perugia I recommend this hotel. In the immediate vicinity there is a stop of the Mini Metro, with which you can easily go for a walk in the old town and the center. Hotel "Astor" is convenient for travelers because the train station is at an arm's length. This does not mean that the hotel area is noisy, on the contrary. Quiet and peaceful place.

Situated next the railway station for easy trips to Assisi and Lago Trasimeno and the Minimetro to the centre it proved to be a wise decision to choose this hotel, a pleasant, well maintained and typical Italian middle class hotel although the location itself is not the most appealing considering how beautiful the historical city centre is. But the rooms are tidy and clean and the Minimetro that feels like a fun ride to a guest of the city brings you within minutes to the city centre. All in all it was a very enjoyable stay.

All was fine.

The room was big enough, cleaned every day, super close to train station, minimetro for city center and bus station for the airport. Near the hotel you can find a little shop. Staff was very friendly and gave us tips where to eat and what to do.

The area around the hotel, due to the fact that it was near the train station felt a little bit unsafe (I traveled with a girl friend) but as long as you do not wonder around at the nigh time you should be fine. You can hear everything is happening in the rooms near you.

it was literally one step from the train station in Perugia. to get to the old city , one has to take the mini metro, which is an elevated small train service. Hotel staff is friendly and responsive to guest's questions

bathroom shower needs some thorough cleanup

The hotel is a little bit old-fashioned, but overall clean. It's located very close to the train and bus station, where the bus to the airport departs.

Hotel Astor is right in front of the Railway/bus station in Perugia. Around 5 min from the hotel there is a mini-metro by which you can go to the old centre. The hotel is not new, however had everything that we needed. You can buy typical, Italian breakfast (coffee, some croissants, jam etc.). People on the reception are very nice- the gentleman gave us a map and marked all the main points.

The curtain in the shower was really old, therefore everytime when bathing- the bathroom was flooded.

The facilities and service were great especially for the price. The mini metro takes you right to the top no need to hike. The hotel is close to the stations and buses, a convenience.
