Full Sky TV package with BBC Earth and various news/comedy channels, strong hot shower pressure, a-la-19 century windows with cute latches, tasteful modern bowl wash basin and parking included. Full bar/restaurant on premises though I didn't get to use it due to one night stay/being late. Windows were facing street across little garden but closed them for the night as it was a bit chilly and wasn't bothered at all. Also the room had a fancy bladeless vertical heater.

Perhaps add a soap dish and products in multi-use bottles. Need to check the key locked the room when leaving though may also be of a benefit as won't lock yourself out.

I received excellent service from the staff member who admitted me on Saturday afternoon. I had trouble working my TV, however, she was very helpful with that. I'd also forgotten to bring a USB plug so was unable to charge my phone or tablet, however, she provided me with a spare USB plug which I left in my room so all was sorted. I have about half a dozen of these at home but had forgotten to bring one but I remembered everything else this time. I intend to comme back very soon to do the Brick Bay winery and sculpture Trail at Snell's Beach. Excellent room service with towers being changed

it would have been good to have some snacks and plunger coffee in my room but no big deal. I did miss my smart TV with Netflix but, at least, I could watch the Chase

The must be one of the oldest historic buildings in active use in this part of the country. A great place to eat and to stay. Central to Warkworth town and with views over the river and the bush on the other side. The staff were friendly and helpful, provided all the information we needed, and served a great meal.

We stayed in the middle of winter, and as you might expect from an older New Zealand building, it was pretty cold! There were extra blankets though, so that was good.

Our room was on the second level having to use outside steps to get to. Car was below and also had the restaurant very close. For a one night stay it was all we needed and very comfortable. Liked the big TV and had access to all channels on Sky. They also had a good workable area for your tea/coffee making and a 300ml tub of milk, not those piddling pottles that hold a tsp of milk. Small fridge underneath was adequate for the length of time we were there.

The only thing we thought could be improved was the bathroom, probably needed a revamp especially the shower door and the full flush on the toilet was sticking. Basin was a good size but felt not very practical especially when you had bar soap with nowhere to really put it except on the wood vanity which would leave a slimy mess.

The hotel is located quite conveniently with easy driving access to nearby attractions- Tawharanui, Omaha, Mahurangi East and Matakana. The hotel also has a restaurant bar facing the peaceful Mahurangi river. There's a supermarket Woolworths nearby if one needs to buy supplies. The room is spotless, the bed is comfy, there's fridge and kettle for tea - perfect after a long day driving end exploring nearby areas. And finally the staffs are warm and friendly with swift check-in/check-out process.

No aircon...We had a really loud fan in our small box of a room...I made the mistake of not choosing a room myself...The room was hot and stuffy...In summer aircon is absolutely required, and for $175 a night should be installed in EVERY room... If you go in summer, dont stay in Room 23 or 3... Every thing else at this whole accomodation/bar/restaurant etc is excellent..

The rooms were comfortable and well equipped. We didn't try the restaurant as we had our own food with us, so we also didn't get to sample the dinner.

Access to a microwave and/or toaster would have been helpful but of course we understand this wasn't offered and probably wouldn't be practical. A little more indication of where our rooms were would have been helpful, but I guess we could have asked ahead of times. One was next to the bar room.

A spacious room, large tv with a selection of programs. Good wifi. Easy walking distance to town and walks along the river. Plenty of parking available. Nice and quiet as the rooms are set back from the road.

Only provided coffee for 4 cups. All the rooms had to slam the door to lock so everyone could hear each guest vacating. Had to wait for awhile to get checked in as it’s part of the pub and that should be prioritised.

My wife and I flew into Auckland and were travelling to the Bay of Islands and decided to spend our first night in Warkworth. It's a beautiful town, just big enough to have good facilities and restaurants, and the Bridgehouse Lodge is a shining example. Check in was easy and friendly, the building is very old but the room had been renovated nicely. We had dinner downstairs which was excellent. The hotel is right in the middle of town so you can walk to anywhere in Warkworth you care to visit. We loved it.

We stayed mid summer and the room was very hot. There was no air conditioning, but there was a fan and the windows could be opened, so it was not a huge problem.

very welled set out room, very basic double bed and single bed in room, a Very big tv and good sky tv channels .The wifi password was well worded on the wall.. This room had the very basics which every person needs for a room for a quick stay.

small kitchen no sink to fill jug for a coffee (there was a bathroom sink which you were able to get a little bit of water into the jug). (shame no hot chocolate power supplied only tea and coffee) No seal on the shower so a lot of water when showering went on the floor.
