A perfect stay with exceptional staff and a spacious apartment We had a fantastic experience at this hotel. The apartment was incredibly spacious, offering a wonderful amount of room for our family. We loved the big living room, which was perfect for relaxing. The kitchen was also fully equipped with everything we could have needed for meal prep, which was a great touch. The layout was ideal, with a separate two-bed room for the kids and a cosy bedroom for the parents, giving everyone their own comfortable space. It truly felt like a home away from home. The location is absolutely perfect—situated in a quiet, vibrant district that feels like a peaceful retreat while still being close to all the action. The nearby tram stops made exploring the city incredibly easy. What truly made our stay memorable, however, was the exceptional staff. From the moment we arrived, they were friendly, welcoming, and a great source of information. They gave us invaluable advice on what to see, where to eat, and how to get started with our trip. Their guidance helped us make the most of our visit. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a perfectly situated and welcoming place to stay.

Wonderful Spring in Prag We stayed at Orion Hotel for 5 days and 4 nights and had a great time as the hotel is very neat and the apartments are really spacious and well equipped. The breakfast room was really tiny and in the basement, but nevertheless the buffet was rich and altering every day with lovely home made cakes and lovely staff to clean and fill up the buffet or help with anything. Because the hotel is in a non-touristic corner of town, it has a very mellow vibe and one can really dive into the Prague vibe with mini-markets, lovely small cafés and various restaurants just around the corner. It will take you a 20-25 minutes to walk downtown or you can take the subway from the station (3 minutes walk) which will take you max. 5 minutes. And finally to our highlight of our stay at Orion Hotel: This was a young guy called “Andrej”, who we met at the reception on the first day of our stay as we checked in. He was so friendly and enthusiastic to point out interesting opportunities and highlights of “his” city, which increased our anticipation of the stay even more. Optimisation potential: There are no smart options to plug electronic devices like smartphones or laptops, f.ex. one had to unplug the connector for the light next to the bed so one could plug in the cell phone over night - but like that you did not have a bed light. We would recommend to give all breakfast staff a short training at the beginning of the season and to teach them the basic words / sentences in English, so if a guest asks them something, they are empowered to have a simple conversation

First of all the staff. They were all so polite and Ms. Sylvia was always there to ask if everything is alright. Then, there's the location which is very convenient as it's 3-4 minutes from the tram station and 6-7 minutes from the metro station. The neighborhood has some great choices for food, beers and coffee. Also, the hotel had some complintary coupons for those places. Last but not least we found the breakfast choices fantastic. Especially their home made sweets. I would definitely recommend this place if you want to have a comfortable stay, explore Prague but don't want the downtown fuss.

It’s a very cosy and well-equipped hotel room — more like a small apartment, featuring a separate bedroom, living room, kitchen, and bathroom. The rooms are spacious and filled with natural light. The beds are standard size with comfortable mattresses. The living room, with its table and couch, feels truly inviting. The kitchen is a good size and has all the necessary appliances. The bathroom is clean and functional. Breakfast is great, with an excellent variety of options — even for those who are vegan or gluten-free. The freshly baked bread served every day is absolutely delicious. Other pastries, cheeses, and vegetables are also tasty and worth trying. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The area around the hotel is perfect: quiet, safe, and well-connected by subway, tram, and bus. It’s just a 15-minute walk to the National Museum and about 30 minutes to the Old Town. The neighborhood also offers plenty of restaurants and shops. Highly recommended — 100%!

The only area for improvement would be the internet connection — it could be more stable.

I recently stayed at Hotel Orion in Prague and had an exceptional experience! The location was perfect for exploring the city, with easy access to major attractions. The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. My room was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed with all necessary amenities. The breakfast offered a delicious variety of options to start each day. Overall, Hotel Orion provided outstanding value and made my Prague visit truly memorable. Highly recommended!

Good breakfast, always enough options to choose from. The room was very spacious (a bit too much for an individual traveler even but no complaints there). It's apparently a repurposed apartment building of some kind so the "room" is basically a full apartment with almost all utilities inside including a kitchen with a microwave. Bathroom also has an actual bath. If there was a washing machine in there too, I'd probably put a 10 for the review. The location is nice, a few parks with a good view close by. A lot of cafes and restaurants nearby, they also give you some coupons for some of them, a really good way to encourage trying out local services (used a couple of them, no issues). Close to subway as well, the airport bus gets you to a station on the same line, so no need for running around between subway lines. Tram lines are also not too far.

There were no issues big enough to remember for long: - DND sign was a bit damaged so it couldn't stay hanged on anything. Not really an issue, just a bit annoying. - The room layout puts the bathroom close to the entrance where you walk in your shoes since a wardrobe is right there too on the other side of the corridor. Not an issue if you notice this in advance, otherwise a bit awkward to walk out of the bathroom without anything on your feet there. - Main city attractions aren't really within walking distance though (for an average tourist), but public transportation makes that a non-issue.

We came for three nights and decided to stay for ten. That says it all. The hotel is perfectly located in Prague 2 in a beautiful quiet area but with coffee and restaurants close by. It is perfectly maintained, clean and beautiful. Breakfast is made daily by three ladies that produce the best pastries and dishes. Like the hotel, it is not pretentious - just the best home quality - a home in Prague. The staff was attentive to every request. Thank you for a wonderful time. The perfect base for a stay in Prague.

The mattresses could be upgraded.

Our stay here was excellent! The place I stay when I travel plays a pivotal role in the overall memory of the trip. And I am thankful Hotel Orion is now part of my good travel memories. The apartment super clean and huge. Kitchen was big, clean and packed with everything you might need. I absolutely adored the interior style with white doors and high ceilings. It makes you feel like you are traveling back in time. Breakfast was very delicious and had different food variety every day. For me it is fundamental to be clean. All the ladies working in the kitchen did a very very good job on keeping the food refilled, clean, organized and everything else. Staff was friendly and available at every time. 10/10 would recommend!!

Not a single thing that I didn’t like!

Breakfast changed daily with a lot of variety. It was always tasty and filling and we ate and drank as much as we required. We particularly liked that much of the food was locally sourced. Our favourite was the blueberry pies and the coffee machine was used often. Our apartment was large, well-equipped, perfect for our family's stay. It offered two large bedrooms, a kitchen area and also a shower and bath combined. There was a lift to the rooms as well as stairs. The location was perfect for traveling into the center of the city by the excellent tram service or walking. A bonus was that the hotel had vouchers for a great selection of nearby restaurants and bars within walking distance from our hotel. The reception staff was very helpful in answering questions and by the first evening, we had already been given maps and lots of leaflets about activities to do during our stay.

The best thing is the friendly and very helpful staff!! 24/7 Reception was really great, and they did make searches in Czech when I needed help looking for specific things in town. Breakfast was our favorite, with free unlimited espresso, juices, and tea. Occasionally we enjoyed eating it at our room too, and returned the plates on next day, so we can add some other ingredients to personalize our meals. Location was really great! If you want to tour around the city, tram 22 is the key tram which goes to national theatre (where the box office opens even during summer to sell tickets to opera or ballet), stops also at Prague castle, main metro stations on the other side of river which connects to metro. While Namesti Miru metro station is just 5 min walk from the hotel, but I preferred to ride my favorites tram 22 from Namesti Miru, just one stop ride because there are my favorite DM shop selling cheap necessities including some organic food, another very reasonable gelato shop, and sea food shop, and several small grocery shops that I get good stuff, and walking to the hotel from there is my favorite Vietnamese sushi restaurant that I can take away. Just remember Namesti Miru has no elevator if you are coming from airport. The stations near by to have elevator are either Museum (one stop before Namesti Miru) or I.P. Pavlova (metro line C that goes to Prague main station). But although I.P. Pavlova is one of convenient hub stations, I find it too crowded and too commercial and too tight in between buildings. I don’t prefer staying in that location. I also don’t recommend staying in old town because so much smoking, noise even until late night, occasionally I witnessed bold guppies held an arm of someone. And all the transportation are far away. Tram 6 was running through it, but this summer 2024, they stopped the operation because of construction project at middle of Wenceslas square.
