The location was perfect, it's such a pleasure to sleep inside an old Italian house after you see them all day and imagine living there. We absolutely loved the house, it was really clean, nice smelling, everything we needed was there. The host is such a nice person, he was super helpful and kind and the best part is that he made us a delicious and fresh breakfast in the morning. For this price, it exceeded our expectations greatly, the photos just don't do justice to this three stories old Italian house at the and if that narrow street, with such an amazing interior.

Everything! The property is absolutely beautiful with a lot of character and the history. It is amazingly clean, spacious for a family of 4 and the location is nice too with a walking distance to the center of the village with some shops and pizza take-aways. The host are beyond amazing! Despite postponing our arrival due to traffic until late evening hours (almost midnight), Alex was very welcoming and we truly felt as comfortable as if we were visiting our friends. The property is absolutely amazing value for money you pay- in fact I think they could charge more for what they provide. Oh and it has been written here all over in the other reviews but honestly- if Alex offers you a meal there, definitely say yes- it is delicious and well worth the price.

There is nothing to dislike. The only issue we had was arrival- be careful when driving through the narrow streets around - your car may not fit through- but this is not the problem of the property of course. And the bathroom ceiling is a bit low at bathtub/ shower place so if you are taller than about 160cm you may need to band there a bit...or you can just take a bath instead. The bathroom was otherwise perfectly clean and the entire accommodation is so beautiful that this does not really matter.

Allessandro has created an extraordinary place and does everything to make you want to come back. Albavilla is anice and charming little village near Como and the apartment is romantic and comfortable at the same time. Alessandro ist the best host one could wish for: he helped us to find a free parking lot, to carry our luggage and presented us a wonderful self-made meal in the evening as well as a wonderful breakfast in the morning. We are sure to book again on our way further south!

It is hard to park and hard to get to the house for the first time ;) Especially when you arrive late; make sure to read the instructions carefully

The owner is extremely kind and helpful. He helped us walking and moving upstairs luggage. Generous breakfast.

The parking is public, free but often full and about 100m from the door of the accomodation. So you have to walk with your luggage. Few plugs to charge phones etc.

The host is a very friendly person. Very clean and practical facilities. Don't miss the massage offered from Alexi. Best breakfast ever!

As a solo traveler heading north to south from Amsterdam to Umbria, Le Lanterne was the perfect place to stop en route. The accommodation was spotless and well appointed and staying with my dog was not a problem at all. Alessandro was a super host and prepared the most delicious dinner and breakfast for me and well-rested I continued my journey the next day. I’m very happy I found this spot as I’ll be using on any of my north/south/north journeys!
