I recently stayed at Grainger House Hotel and was pleasantly surprised by the excellent value it offers, especially in light of some negative reviews I had seen. While some guests mentioned cleanliness issues, my room was adequately clean, and any minor concerns were promptly addressed by the attentive staff. The decor is a bit dated, but it has a nostalgic charm that adds character to the stay. Additionally, the hotel offers free Wi-Fi and tea amenities,which were great perks. Despite these minor drawbacks, the unbeatable rates, friendly staff, and convenient location for exploring nearby attractions make GHH a fantastic choice for budget-conscious travelers. For those willing to overlook small imperfections, this hotel offers great service and comfort at an affordable price.

The host was very warm and friendly, and the room was excellent for a short stay, with all essential amenities provided. There was an en suite bathroom, with toiletries provided, and plenty of tea and coffee available. I had the best night's sleep I had in months

The location is a little tricky to find when approaching from the West, and its not obvious where reception is. There is a step in the room that has no warning, which I tripped up/down on a couple of occasions. There is also a £10 room key deposit in cash that I wasnt aware of

The staff. The main reception I just want to thankyou the man on the reception who really helped me out with my boyfriend and his friend stay. I nipped in a day before there stay and asked if I could leave a little care box each for them and he took extra care and time to show me the room, he made sure it was a quite location of the room, he even rang me before they arrived to tell me he had put the boxes in the room he then rang me again after to tell me they had arrived safe and well! Thankyou what a lovely man! Very helpful

It was cheap and cheerful and in the process of being renovated. My room was just a single with a very comfortable bed and shower and toilet next room along. Got two good nights sleeps.

It was a couple of miles outside the city. For £2 you could get the No.30 or No.31 bus from Stand B outside the train station. Outside hotel was bus stop where you could get same buses back which stopped outside Mile Castle Wetherspoons.

Friendly helpful staff. 24 hour security o.n site. Could use kitchen to cook and handy for bus into town. And value for money. Huge Smart TV and free constant WiFi. So not at the mercy of free view TV like everywhere else I stay.

I booked a double room but got 2 singles pushed together but it was.fine in the end. Could've made.more use of the garden by the kitchen. Maybe seating or private smoking area.

This wonderful house is set in western Newcastle upon Tyne. The room was very accessible with access to laundry facilities. I was able to order in food; I had a comfortable arm chair; and the staff were always extremely helpful.

I found the reception area a little narrow and when others were being attended to there, moving past them was difficult.

Perfect if you are looking for a place to stay 2 or 3 nights, to visit Newcastle (as I did) Room a bit old Bathrooms have been refurbished not a long time ago (according to what I saw), including the share bathrooms and toilets. At the end you get what you pay for, I didn't want to share the bathroom, the bedroom or sleep in a bunk bed. So happy about my staid there.

They have luxury room and affordable price Great dealing and the behaviour if staff amazing.. We've spent night there enjoying alot comfortable room with free WiFi and alot of facilities they have huge dining table and kitchen where you can Cook according to your taste it feels like a home Thank You So Much Grainger Hotel!!

Everything was fantastic there's nothing which we didn't like

Breakfast was not available. The friendly and helpful staff. The room - nothing grand but still ideal. Excellent value for money

No bed light which meant - to read you had to lie with your head at the foot of the bed for the main light and you had to walk to your bed in the dark after turning off the light. Distance from city. Location not easy to find for a first timer:

I had a wonderful stay at Granger house. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the room was spotless, and I enjoyed peaceful, undisturbed sleep every night. The hotel's quiet atmosphere made it easy to relax, and I felt it offered great value for money with its convenient location. I highly recommend and would definitely stay again.
