Great value for money and a good location for my stay. A couple of stops on the local bus to the transport hub at the Metro Centre. Lots of local facilities including a Supermarket, take aways and a couple of pubs. During my stay I discovered the beautiful Derwent Country Park trail that starts just along the road. The room was clean and comfortable and it felt like home from home. The kitchen/lounge area was a bonus. I would not hesitate to recommend Hoppers Cottage to Family and Friends.

I was travelling alone and the outside appearance of the high fencing was a bit daunting,perhaps more lighting would be good as quite dark at entrance to property,however I did feel safe and secure once inside the property,keysafe system is very good.

We had booked 2 rooms for an overnight stay during our trip to Scotland. Location is perfect, parking and house are easy to find, there are pubs, takeaways and Lidl nearby. Both rooms and kitchen were big, very clean, tidy, and beds very omfortable. We received clear instructions for directions, parking and access to the house. We will definitely be back when going to Scotland or visiting the North East.

Location was ok . didn't realize that the town which so close to Gateshead.got on the bus,but missed stop because bus driver didn't know the area.no props getting there and back in the evening and going home.good pub next door and good chip shop.great room,comfy bed,good shower and a had a great night's kip.once I read my emails,thanks to a couple telling me,I liked the fact you needed a code to go through the gate and to collect my key . great idea.

No staff were around when I got there and left,but that was not a problem.

Good location for an event we were attending at the Rugby Club. Very secure with coded entrance and key safe box. Spacious room, clean and comfy with towels and linen provided. Good sized en suite shower room. Great to have the option of a shared lounge/kitchen area as well. Plenty of places to eat/drink right on the doorstep.

Overall the accommodation is very good. Initially I was disappointed that the kitchenette wasn't in the room but was a shared facility, as there was a picture of it in the room photos on booking.com. However the kitchen was well equipped except for the lack of a decent knife. My bedroom was spacious, comfortable and fairly newly decorated, and because it was at the back of the house it was very quiet with no road noise. Everything fairly clean apart from towels which looked as though they had been used for cleaning and were stained. The best part of this accommodation is the host, who is a lovely lady and went out of her way to ensure that I was comfortable, warm and had everything I needed. So you can forgive the little imperfections, and if you're looking for clean, decent and safe lodging then I recommend it.

Location good but not near a Metro station, really easy car parking (free), good directions and for the price I paid the room was super clean and comfy. Fridge in room and access to kitchen a bonus. I stop in Newcastle regularly and I am definitely intending to stop here again.

Clean, excellent communication, basic and good value. Worked for us as we only slept and showered there.

We had all 3 rooms so only us in the house . Wouldn't have been comfortable if sharing with other people we didn't know.

Very convenient for Metro Centre, Derwent Walk. A good base for visiting different places.

Entrance is in an alleyway - a gate in a tall fence. No street lighting so a little intimidating if returning after dark, as you have to punch in a code to open the gate, without lighting.

The property was a great last minute booking for the Great North Run - a 15 minute bus ride into the city was ideal for us! Lidl across the road was super useful and the fridge in the room was a great addition we were not expecting! We were able to leave our car in the car park close by all weekend free of charge which was perfect!
