Amazing stay, great food and lovely staff

Bedroom was finished to a very high standard, very comfortable beds and a very relaxed feel. Lovely add on with some sloe gin and posh nuts. Great surprise ! Breakfast tasty. Staff were very accommodating and knowledgeable through out stay. Restaurant has a great vibe, food was value for money and delicious!

Well appointed location for us to visit family in a quiet setting. Our room was very comfortable, beautifully decorated and dressed to a high standard. The bed and sumptuous pillows ensured a great sleep. Spacious bathroom with bath & shower again with high spec fixtures and fittings. All the staff especially Pauline at breakfast were so friendly and accommodating to our needs. Restaurant food is of a high quality with plenty of choices.

The rooms are beautiful, clean, everything you would expect in a 4* hotel was available. All staff really friendly, special shout for Liam who really tried hard to make our stay perfect. The restaurant food quality was brilliant though breakfast was served cold and slightly let down the experience. Our stay was for a visit to Beamish which is also fantastic

Bar was not available late though arrangements were made to accommodate us. Breakfast was cold (maybe needs a plate warmer).

Staff are exceptional. The rooms are so well appointed, beautifully finished. We were made so welcome, Diane even cleaned the bird poo off our car for us and there was a lot. The food is superb and reasonably priced. A great atmosphere, would definitely book again.

We arrived late, so we didn't have long to enjoy the place as much as we would have liked. The staff on arrival were lovely and luckily we got to enjoy a few wind down drinks in the cosy bar before relaxing in our gorgoeus room. Just wish we had longer to enjoy our stay. We plan to come back in December and will be sure to book a breakfast as we didn't this time.

Everything! Sam who was Front of House, Pauline who came in early on a Sunday to accommodate an early breakfast before the Great North Run. The food was award winning and the bedrooms were absolutely beautiful and clean with lots of thoughtful added touches.The pictures don't do it justice.One of the best places booked through booking.com.Amazing! Despite also being a wedding venue, this is an excellent peaceful location in fact the wedding venue was separate to the main building and had its own car park. Staff at this venue super friendly, food excellent and was just perfect for meeting up with friends for dinner. Would definitely recommend

Light up magnifying mirror in the bathroom was great, too many hotels have poor lighting. Great breakfast, friendly staff, TV with access to all Apps. Powerful shower.

The photo was lovely, with second to none staff who were very welcoming on arrival, the pub was done out lovely and had a quirky charm to it! I’d highly recommend. Loved all the car parking availability too.
