Everything, from the friendly welcome, storing our gear because we arrived early, comfort, outside furniture and inside, brilliant food, both in the evening and breakfast, great rooms, clean , spacious, amazingly comfortable beds, (if a little low for us less athletic types)😁 and fantastic showers. The prices were very reasonable, we were blown away by the place and will stay again if in the area.

Nothing, You have fantastic staff and a well thought out place. We've toured on our motorcycles a lot, and stayed in many places, yours is at the top of the list.

Clean extremely comfortable room. Tea and coffee facilities supplied. Breakfast delicious and cooked to order also lots of other options to choose from. Staff very friendly and helpful as are the owners. On my last day they kindly extended my stay until I could leave for the airport because of the snow. Dogs are allowed at this hotel but they keep two rooms where there have been no dogs. I have stayed here many times and each room is uniquely individual as are the bathrooms (some have baths some just showers). The restaurant serves a varied menu and I have never been disappointed. I highly recommend this small establishment as I cannot fault the service and accommodation.

Make sure you turn the shower on a good few minutes beforehand as it can take a while for the hot water to come through but unlimited once it does and nice and hot.

The staff were all amazing and very friendly with our dog - even bringing her a sausage at breakfast in the mornings. The food was absolutely delicious. A great choice of continental and cooked food on offer at breakfast. We ate our evening meals there both nights as well - delicious. The room was clean, it has a kettle with a tea tray (including biscuits and a bottle of water). No carpet in the room but that is better with it being dog friendly. No fridge, but we had brought a mini one with us for medication and our dogs food. Will definitely look to stay there again next time we are up that way.

I can't think of anything that we didn't like!

Location was quieter than you would think, easy to find and to get to other places. The actual setting of the hotel was lovely, off the main road and with a pretty Mediterranean feel. Breakfast was fantastic, full English cooked to order and a good buffet with fruit, pastries, yoghurt etc. The rooms were lovely with everything you needed and spacious too. The best thing of all was the staff, who couldn't do more to be helpful and friendly.

It was all fine - the water pressure in the bathroom was amazingly strong, so I got a couple of soakings before I worked out just how far to turn the cold tap. Not really an issue

Great value for money . Nice sized room, very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is excellent - great continental starter with plenty of fruit available followed by a good quality English. Staff very friendly and helpful. The bus to Newcastle picks up and drops off from right outside and at £2.00 a trip is much easier and cheaper than parking in the city. To our delight we were given a guided tour of Michelangelo's by proud owner Paulo who described how he has created the unique decor over the past 25 years. Who could imagine seeing the" Hand of God" in Gateshead on the floor of a restaurant and made from pieces of broken tiled fireplace!! We enjoyed our stay so much that after breakfast we cancelled a prior booking for our next trip to Gateshead and immediately booked the dates for a return to Michelangelo's instead.

We hadn't booked both nights of our stay there!

The hotel was lovely, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our dog was also made very welcome.Lovely outside eating area with covered patio as well. Restaurant and bar had a great Italian feel to them. Our room, which happened to be the bridal suite was very large and airy, with an excellent shower. Bed was very comfortable, but maybe a little soft for me. It was quiet and peaceful at night.

My husband made a bad choice of meal for him, Tuscan grill, which if you like a lot of meat was great and all the meat was well cooked and tasty, but only accompanied by a small portion of potatoes, he needed less meat and some veg! Our deserts were great, can recommend the Sicilian posset. Written by Peter’s wife.

Firstly I must thank Ginger Ninja, Turkey Tit's and Stuble's (God I hope that sticks) for there amazing hospitality, they truly maid my visit one to remember. Fun genuine people who do there jobs perfectly and still find time to make strangers feel like friends. As for the accommodation - Large clean and comfortable room attached to an great restaurant the breakfast was especially good. On a final note, I can stay in 4 hotels in a week due to work and I always use Premier in as a baseline when comparing accommodation and this place was great. My only regret is I won't be working in that area again.

The only negative I had is a weak shower which was strange as the tap in the sink had plenty of pressure?

The rooms are spacious, well presented and clean, lovely continental breakfast and cooked breakfast, good value for money. Having the bar and restaurant next door is handy but didn't use it, also walking distance to Ryton and bus stop outside.

The main let down was the shower, shower head needs replacing and works off the bath taps and there was no pressure on the cold water which meant it was boiling hot shower or cold & trickling out, did mention it next day but wasn't resolved that night. Switches near the beds for the lights in the room would be more handy than at the front door and bedside table on both sides needed, with better location of plug sockets.

We hadn't really expected more than a basic hotel for our short stay to attend a friend's party locally. However, we were absolutely blown away by this little gem. The rooms were large and well equipped, shower mediocre but good enough, bed extremely comfortable and all clean as a whistle. Some of our party of six stayed in large family rooms with space and beds enough for a family, which means we'll be back with the grandkids in tow next time. The added bonus was the attached fabulous Italian restaurant, with a vast menu, wonderful food, and even well catered for the gluten free member of our party, which was unexpected. Breakfast the following morning was great. The staff from check in through to departure were all smiling, happy, helpful, and this in itself made our stay even better. Thank you.

The shower could have been better, but it wasn't the worst we've used. There was nothing else negative to report.
