Location was incredible. staff incredible, transport from Phuket to the resort was amazing and smooth! Staff is exceptional. resort is brand new and very beautiful.

the price of the food in restaurants at resort are extremely high and also the spa prices are very high. We have traveled for 5 weeks in Asia and this resort had the highest price on food and spa and tours.

Excellent hotel and facilities. Phil and Malèe at the pool bar are amazing. Everything was professional.

Hotel should have options and recommendations with regards to different activities and tours around the island outside of the resort itself.

Absolutely beautiful surroundings with lush, well kept tropical gardens, villas embedded in the greenery. Not too big, lovely to walk around (but you can get a buggy anytime). Super friendly and attentive staff that made our experience truly personal. Special shoutout to Touch and Non. Beachfront villas are stunning, beyond compare, highly comfortable with great layout and a lovely private pool (perfect spot to spend rainy days). Beach is tidal with shallow water, ideal for kids, with breathtaking views. Great kids facilities (though some activities are additional charge).

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel – truly a paradise! Any negative comments you might come across are completely unfounded. The hotel offers everything one could wish for. The breakfast is incredibly varied and plentiful, perfect for starting the day right. The beach is beautiful, clean, with crystal-clear water – ideal for relaxing and unwinding. The staff are warm and attentive, and they go out of their way to meet every need. It’s also wonderfully quiet here, creating a peaceful and laid-back atmosphere. The rooms are modern and stylishly furnished, everything feels new and well-maintained. The buildings and the entire complex are beautifully designed, adding to a great ambiance. The food at the hotel is fantastic and diverse, with a real focus on quality. As for those who always seem to find something to criticize – perhaps it’s time to appreciate the quality and service on offer. If you’re looking to spend less, it might be better to opt for a more “pocket-friendly” alternative. All in all, my stay here was an amazing experience, and I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.

The property is absolutely stunning. The location on the beach overlooking the Andaman sea, the well kept, immaculately manicured lawns and facilities is paradoxical to the laid back, relaxed, family-friendly vibe of the place. The feel is of luxury, but not in a pretentious way. We stayed in the Grand family suite and it was huge and had beautiful sea views. The little one had her own loft bed complete with a slide which she thoroughly enjoyed. It overlooked a great family pool with slides for all ages. The staff are amazing, always greeting and going above and beyond to ensure your stay is above expectations. The food at breakfast and dinners were excellent with a myriad of options. We had an unforgettable dinner on the beach to celebrate my partner’s birthday and by her account, the most special she’s ever experienced. I am ever so grateful. The staff planned it and executed to perfection even weeks prior to our arrival. We’re hoping to return again one day bringing other friends and family with us to experience such a great show place to stay and enjoy life.

The property had everything we required.

This is a stunning hotel on the beachfront. Bars and restaurants are great, breakfast is high quality and varied and I loved that you could pop in for takeaway coffee, stroll the beach and then return for breakfast. Kids pool is simple but really good. Happy hour at the pool bar was a bonus - cocktails were great! Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms are large and comfortable with plenty of storage space.

I have very few criticisms, I would however have liked for not all family rooms to have been with views of the kids pool…they say sea view but it’s very obstructed! My only other comment is that the general clientele during our stay was very entitled and we felt that staff were spoken to very rudely by a lot of guests, I would like to see more senior management presence stepping in to protect staff from this and respectful treatment of staff being prioritised regardless of the status of guests.

Breakfast at Karang was great, wonderful selection of food and drinks daily. Beautiful main pool overlooking the beach and islands nearby. Service was exceptional, and the staff went out of their way to make our stay memorable.

There was a misunderstanding of instructions on our last day. We requested for bags to be in storage and accessible for showers prior to departing. We requested this via the Anantara app and to the reception staff verbally. But the bags were taken to the pier very early, and had to be brought back to the hotel when we needed them, resulting in delays. Other than that, the service and attentiveness of staff was impeccable and could not be faulted!

Fantastic all around! Infrastructure, the quality of the actual rooms and buildings is top notch! Design 10/10. The maintenance of the hotel you can tell is working for their favour, not an inch to complain about. Some of the best landscaping i have seen, hats off! Staff, management and every interaction we had, was 10/10. The properties location makes it a perfect secluded cocoon of bliss. I cannot recommend enough and this is for sure Anantaras new flagship property! Worth noting we went with my wife and 7 month old boy and cannot be happier with our choice as the hotel was very well suited for both families with kids of all ages and also couples and adult travellers, which is not easy to pull off!

If i had to come up with something, after 7-8 days, you might find the property to not have much activities to do. Im being picky but a tennis court, padel or any other activity would have been welcomed. Maybe the beach and water activities could be a bit broader.

The hotel staff and facilities were exceptional. They ensured we had a wonderful experience with everything offered. From the transfer to the hotel, the rooms, breakfast, pools for both kids and adults, the kids' club, to the bicycles – everything was fantastic. We wholeheartedly recommend Anantara Yao Yai to our friends and family.

The bicycles could benefit from a bit more maintenance. Some had flat tires, and one had loose handlebars, making them unavailable. However, this was a minor issue, as we were able to easily find other bikes to use on the premises.

The massage at the spa was amazing. I also had a massage right on the sun loungers by the beach—such a great experience! Lunch and dinner at the beach restaurant were also excellent. The staff is friendly and welcoming. And the view from the balcony? Absolutely breathtaking!

The breakfasts don’t even meet the standards of a 4-star hotel. It’s really necessary to hire a skilled chef who can delight guests with proper omelets and delicious scrambled eggs. Mine was absolutely terrible. And waiting around 40 minutes for scrambled eggs with basil was just unacceptable.
