Great place in super location and very friendly and helpful staff. Really nice having the garden to chill out. Very comfy beds, large bathroom, nice design. Great breakfast w eggs cooked on request by very friendly and helpful Ok host John! We accidentally locked ourselves out - room key and mobiles- but they have a 24/7 open sister hotel nearby where we could get a key. You can store your luggage in the breakfast room until uou check in or leave, its safely guarded with cameras.

The AC was a bit weak. Checkin and other contact w hotel require a mobile so make sure its charged and not locked in your room haha ( or call the door Bell outside but we didnt know that at first). We accidentally locked ourselves out and to get a new key you had to call on your mobile- which we had in the room. Instead had to walk to nearby sister hotel to get key, so make sure you know where it is- especially if you dont have access to a gps!

I have never stayed in a hotel so perfectly located relative to the city center. Our children got a room in the other wing of the building, and it was simply wonderful - with three windows overlooking the inner courtyard.

My wife and I were given a room right next to the entrance, and the slamming of the front door was a bit of a nuisance. The hotel is small and breakfast here must be ordered in advance. I did not take this into account, and therefore had to look for breakfast in the city, which on a Monday morning was an adventure.

I loved the charm of the rooms, quality and cleanliness of the bathrooms. I also appreciated the staff at the Boutique Sint Jacob. We opted not to have our rooms cleaned as we only stayed for a night and the following day/night, so the staff we met was in the kitchen. We didn't choose the breakfast option, but we did meet them when making inquiries. The two individuals we met, were very welcoming, and helpful.

I had an ankle injury, so the stairs were a bit challenging, but we knew about them in advance, so it was not a surprise. It would be lovely, if you had a continental breakfast option, such as croissant and coffee only.

Loved the location. The bathroom was very good and had modern fixtures. The breakfast room was cozy and the staff there were wonderful! They made eggs and bacon for us and there was an assortment of cereal, breads, and fruit along with tea, coffee and juice. There was a pretty patio at the back. They emailed a digital key to us and the instructions on how to get to our room from outside were clear.

The furniture in the room was a little worn. But we enjoyed our stay very much!

Lovely hotel. Friendly staff. Excellent location although hard to pull up in a car to unload luggage. Beautiful rooms and garden. Comfortable beds. Big bathroom.

We had one room with a broken window latch in the bathroom. (We then moved rooms to help accommodate someone needing ground floor, this was shortly after check in and no problem to us, we were given the option and thanked with free breakfast) Our second room the door didn't always shut easily and one window blind missing.

Great location and perfect for wandering in to the centre of Maastricht. Comfortable bed and nice room. Checking in was super faffy, we had to wait ages as the ipad said our rooms weren’t ready when they were. Also, having the room key on our phones isn’t ideal, my husband’s phone battery died and I had very little battery on my phone so if they had both lost power we would have been locked out.

Amazing cozy hotel. Mrs. Hind added an excellent value to our first impression by her kindness as we are at home. She treated us as if we are family met after long time . She did her best to help us and let us enjoy our stay. Her smile never left her face. We highly appreciate her and the hotel management.

The location was very nice, within a few minutes you walk straight into Maastricht. The automatic check in system is also very futuristic and usefull, except when your phone has no battery left but then there is an option to call for help on the door so also that problem is foreseen with a solution.

the TV was very small and not facing the right direction to be seen from the bed. That is, however, a nitpicking issue and the overall satisfaction with the room was very high.

A beautiful place to stay - friendly, welcoming staff, a spacious room and an excellent breakfast. We stayed for 4 nights in April/May and were sorry to leave! We arrived around 10pm - later than expected due to delays on the train from Brussels - and checked in at the nearby Hotel Grote Gracht as the Sint Jacob is only open for check-in to 4pm. Everything went very smoothly and it was just a short walk between the 2 hotels. This was our first experience of having a digital room key emailed to us and used on the mobile phone. It worked perfectly. Others in our party requested a physical key card which can also be provided. The room was very comfortable and nicely furnished, including a fridge and coffee maker. The bathroom was also spacious, with a good shower and plenty of hot water. The breakfast was excellent with the offer of bacon and eggs cooked individually for you. A wonderful range of fresh bread, sweet pastries, different cereals and muesli, fresh fruit, cheese and meat. We would definitely recommend this as a good place to stay in the historic centre of Maastricht.

Nice, clean room

Not really „not like“ but a slight deduction for the smartphone based room key which in my case wasn’t a problem, since I have EU unlimited Data and an affinity to all this tech-y stuff,but if my wife would have come alone it would have been extremely frustrating for her to handle all this download/upload process for the room key. Also that the entrance door needed quite a forceful push to open would have been intimidating for her. So this Hotel is not recommended for old school guests.Found the breakfast also slightly underwhelming considering the whopping 22€ per head. But as I said, 4 out of 5
