Location and View were the best I have had in my entire life - we opened our window and looked out our window at the Portofino harbor, gorgeous buildings, lanscape, Brown Castle and the Mediterranean - very romantic!

The hotel room had a little wear and tear - chips in paint but I understand this is a very old building and has lots of charm and lovely place to stay! If someone is expecting a sterile chain hotel - this is not it. It has character.

Great location, 10 minutes walking from the main square of Portofino, so the hotel was very quiet and comfortable. The furniture in the room is well kept with a very big and comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast with omelettes and other warm plates prepared fresh and freshly baked cakes. The room had a spacious wardrobe with a big safe. The hotel has a private beach access, three terraces with reclineable chairs overlooking the water. The hotel provides beach towels for free. The staff was super helpful and kind. We arrived by car, there is a private garage where the staff parks the cars for you (40€/night).

The lights in the room weren’t very bright so in the evening it was very dark in the room. It didn't bother us too much as we only stayed one night.

The rooms are a little bit old but very comfortable.

The beautiful setting, especially the view from our balcony. The private terraces above the small cove in which to swim. We enjoyed lounging on beach chairs, under umbrellas, swimming, rinsing off, enjoying a drink on the terrace, and repeating. The dinner. restaurant on a different terrace was excellent as well, and has a spectacular view. Very romantic.

A bar for an evening drink would be nice. Either in the lobby area or the terrace restaurant area.

Excellent location (10 minutes walking to Portofino city center, 20 minutes walking to Paraggi Bay) , private beach area, friendly staff in general (especially the people in reception were extremely helpful and kind). They upgraded our room with a balcony of perfect view.

The staff in food service can be more friendly and welcoming as the people in reception. We did not have any problem indeed but they seemed a bit tired and unenthusiastic about their work

Superb location with access to the water and lounge chairs on the terrace to the water. 5 minute walk to town. All Staff was excellent and friendly (except for one grumpy desk man). Delicious breakfast and dinner as well.

The condition of the room needs serious update. Shabby white chipped paint. Decor does not suit the historic location and architecture of the hotel. A sheet covered the couch(which was a sleeper but we were not using as a sleeper. No real public lounge area inside (early in the season so outdoor areas were not open yet).

Very unique hotel. Great view, perfect location to experience Portofino. It was a short walk on a very scenic path. The path does require some pretty steep stairs, so if you aren’t mobile this might be a downside. But, for us we LOVED walking the trail into Portofino. The beach access and lounge area is as romantic and peaceful as I’ve found for laying out and relaxing in a beautiful view. This location is perfect if you want some quiet from the crowd of Portofino but want to be right in the action easily anytime you want.

Parking and getting access could be a little tricky at first. But, the hotel service and staff made that portion a breeze for us.

Wonderful stay. Nicollo (if I recall his name correctly) was so accommodating with his warm welcome. Super chatty and helpful. Spoke very highly of the town and the area and gave us some great facts. Our room was stunning. Great room, space, bed, shower and a view of Castello Brown to round it off. Breakfast was good. Made fresh to order. Location was ideal. Just outside the bustle of the town with a short stroll into the main square. Little parking in the town in general but the staff took care of our car for us. Private access to the water and sunbeds

How short our stay was.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by staff who told us they had upgraded our room to a Seaview for the duration of our stay. Breakfast was nice and parking was made easy by hotel staff. Would happily stay here again

Room was a little dated

When you come to Portofino by car the parking possibility is a "must have" not only a "nice to have". The Hotel Piccolo Portofino provided us with a perfectly organized and super-friendly "parking service" - much better than we had expected. Breakfast was also excellent and all food and drinks were served continuously by the end of breakfast time 10:30. Portofino is a lovely space and thanks to all the hotel staff we enjoyed it perfectly. Zdeněk & Zdenka
