I just wanted to take a moment to share my recent experience at ALBERGO Minerva in Santa Margherita Ligure. I had a fantastic time! The hotel apartments were amazing, and I absolutely loved the great service provided by the attentive staff. They went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect during my stay. The rooms were comfortable and well-appointed, making me feel right at home. And let me tell you, the breakfast was super! It was the perfect way to start each day of my vacation. Overall, I had a great time and would highly recommend ALBERGO Minerva to anyone looking for a wonderful getaway.

The hotel is in a perfect position tucked away up a quiet street but only a 5 minute walk to the port. There is a small supermarket and pharmacy nearby. The hotel staff are so very helpful and informative. Nothing was too much trouble. Our bedroom had a small balcony overlooking the bay and the Tuscan hillside and we were on Level 4 which is where the rooftop terrace is available to use. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was very well appointed. Good shower. The Jacuzzi and sun terrace are amazing. You need to book a slot at reception as only a limited number of people can use at any one time which is understandable. We stayed here 5 nights. Breakfast was excellent every day with plenty of choice and the option to sit outside in the garden.

I booked this hotel at the last minute when I decided to extend my holiday by two nights, and I chose it as it was the best value for money, however I was perfectly happy with it. I was really just using it as a base, so I didn't use the facilities much/at all. My room was great, a really nice size, traditionally decorated (slightly dated) and super clean, good size bathroom and the room came with a safe and a fridge which was useful. It was also very quiet and felt very safe, which is important for a solo traveler. The bed and pillows were very comfy, I slept really well there. The staff at the hotel were really friendly and welcoming and they went out of their way to help me on my check-out when I had to get to the train station for 5am and they personally drove me as I had left it too late to book a taxi, which I really appreciated! Very kind of them.

The hotel itself is set back from the main street so you have to turn off and walk up a slight hill to it and at night it was very quiet and dark-ish walking up there which as a woman on my own, wasn't my favourite, although I am sure it is totally safe! The decor of the hotel I found pretty dated, it could do with a refresh, although I didn't mind some of it in my room as it was quite traditional Italian, but the more common spaces looked very dated. The hairdryer in my room wasn't great and provided not much heat or power and the shower cubicle was extremely small. There was also no air conditioning. Having said all this though, if you want a great basic hotel with amazing staff is it perfect for you. I still had a very comfortable stay and I would definitely stay there again!

Our stay at this fantastic hotel was truly unforgettable. The staff were incredibly professional and friendly, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. It was the best hotel experience of our entire trip in Italy. The breakfast was amazing, and having the rooftop jacuzzi and sun terrace all to ourselves was a dream come true. The garden where we enjoyed breakfast, surrounded by fruit trees and plants, provided the perfect romantic atmosphere. We are so grateful for this experience and can't wait to return!

The location, staff and the Villa/hotel itself were fabulous it was like staying with family. Wonderful rooftop pool overlooking the harbour. The breakfast was the best on our two month trip through Europe and always served by great people who have been well trained.

Our bed was extremely hard even for my husband who can normally sleep on anything. This is the most important item of any establishment and would lift the hotel to another level in my opinion.

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, they always tried to help and accommodate to our needs. The hotel in general is very good. Pool is nice and has a beautiful view. Also the room was very spacious

You have to reserve for the pool, I get it is to avoid being overcrowded but its a bit annoying. They charge you for everything, for instance 4€ for an orange juice and also they can charge your car but it's with extra charge (extra from the parking price) and the price was really expensive a more than 1€ per Khw!! They reduced it at the end, but still it remains expensive.

Everything ! Coming from EHL in Switzerland, I rarely do a comment regarding hotels ! But this hotel deserved it ! - only 3 stars.... However, this place offer everything you need ! People happy and always available ! beautiful garden which dig you into Italian charm and peaceful location ! all furnitures seem new and designed with the hotel spirit. Swimming pool with a 5 stars hotel view (roof top) where there is also a Sauna a small fitness! Breakfast is also remarkable ! This hotel is like an oasis (flowers everywhere) in the middle of the town and close to every touristic place. Thx again to Federica (director) for the experience we've been through into her Hotel ! I've rarely seen an hotel where I would give more than I paid ! Quality / price , Fantastic !

Just too make a small comment, bed could be a slightly short for people who are more than 1.8m tall. But easily acceptable !

Very charismatic and beautiful place with amazingly helpful staff. The room was very cozy and clean, the view to the city and the port is nice. They cleaned the room every day. The breakfast is common for Italy, they had lots of sweets but not so much savory options. But the pastries were amazing and the breakfast overall was enjoyable.

Dreamy property, perfect clean rooms and bathrooms, great value, ideal location and the most helpful, attentive staff. Couldn’t have been better. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to visit the area.

No cons - only thing to note is that we had to reserve the pool area in advance. No doubt this is for everyone’s enjoyment and fairness, and may have just been for peak season.

very friendly and helpful staff. big room with balcony and view. the hotel is in walking distance from everything and yet sits on a slight hill with sweeping views at least from our room. Roof top with pool/jacuzzi and sauna.
