It's the second time we stayed at this resort, and it was as pleasant as the first time. The location is amazing, the unit was clean and tidy, and the mattress was really comfortable. For those who love planes, like my husband and I, it's a great spot!

The unit where we stayed this year was not so well decorated and equipped as the one we stayed before. I guess it's because each unit belongs to a different owner. Anyway, I'd suggest the owners may consider a fresh coat of paint, replacing the beige/cream with a more contemporary palette of colour. Also, the shower bath is a bit dangerous for an elderly person or someone with reduced mobility. I'd suggest replacing the bath with a walk-in shower.

Golden Riviera is a great complex of apartments absolutely beachfront at Tugun with a lovely warm pool and bbq facilities. The apartments are spacious and well equipped. The staff are helpful and efficient. Parking is included. Across the road from the apartments are cafes, a tapas, IGA is 200m up the road. Close to Gold Coast airport but aircraft noise is not a factor. Would recommend and stay again.

We were given a free upgrade to a spacious 3 bedrooms and 2 sets of bathroom apartment.

Despite the spacious apartment, only the sitting room was air conditioned with small air condition, the rooms were hot. Staff did provide us with an extra standing fan. Advisory with your luggage if you are seniors like us. The very secure car park is on the lower ground level, we had great problem lugging our suitcases upstairs while holding open heavy glass doors. Would have been easier if we unloaded our luggage at ground level and roll them through the lovely winding garden complex to our ground floor flat.

Great location. We had uninterrupted ocean views from our beach-front apartment. It was a right near Tugun Surf Club and a little further walk to Currumbin Surf Club - both great for well-priced meals. Patrolled beach right in front, and 3 min walk into Tugun township for cafes, takeaways and groceries etc. We didn't need our car the whole time we were there. Nice big pool area for families with children. The apartment was spacious, clean, comfortable and had a good kitchen for self-catering.

Our balcony only had a shade sail for shelter which meant we couldn't utilize the balcony fully when it rained. Kitchen could have done with some decent coffee mugs. Only minor suggestions.

We have already stayed many times in this resort, but each time in a different unit. We're happy that this time they gave us an ocean-front unit, which was amazing. The location of this resort is excellent, as you are at really short walk from grocery stores, cafés, etc. The pool is also amazing, wide and surrounded by palm trees.

Despite being a breech front unit, the property wasn't in good condition regarding cleanliness. There was accumulated dust over the bed head and the TV power cable, for example, something easy to clean and which would demonstrate care and respect towards the customers.

Position of resort was amazing and the grounds were private and impeccably maintained. Beautiful pool. Friendly residents. My room was down the back of the property (I believe all the one bedroom apartments are which is understandable) but it was very spacious, well appointed, and spotlessly clean. Bed was very comfortable as was the lounge. A very personable and relaxing environment. Shops and exceptional restaurants close by.

The room interior - was quite worn. Iron burns and other large stains on lounge room carpet. No water bottle in the fridge. It would have been nice to have been greeted with a smile at check in rather than a somewhat irritated response when I initially checked in.

Ground floor apartment no.4 Slight view of the ocean. Stones throw to a patrolled beach. Windy and rough so not great for the little ones for swimming but otherwise perfect. Very welcoming and helpful staff at reception. Pool area lovely and modern and clean, so warm, shallow area perfect for toddlers. Apartment was nicer than the photos which was a bonus. Very spacious and well equipped. Lots of nice restaurants, cafes and shops within walking distance. Grounds were immaculate, gardener always hard at work, BBQs always spotless. Toddler absolutely loved the planes being so close and they don't operate overnight so not disruptive to sleep.

Floors dirty- toddlers feet were instantly black before we had even gone anywhere after arriving and taking his shoes off. No lift was a pain in the butt, lucky we were on the ground floor but no lift from car park either. Something to keep in mind if you have prams and beach carts etc. Car park 2m height restriction and very small spaces. Hot water tap scalding, dangerous with young kids.

We loved that the resort is so close to the beach with easy access to the beach and to the local Tavern for meals and the local IGA and other cafes and shops so close within a 5min stroll. We loved that the pool was easily accessed and the premises were so clean and tidy with lovely neat gardens and a real tropical feel about it. The manager at reception was so friendly and helpful we felt like we were friends. You could lounge by the pool or relax on one of the easy chairs spotted throughout the gardens and read a book, or have a bbq at one of their two designated areas all shaded and cozy. There are plenty of buses going by at the bus stop 3mins away that go to Coolangatta and back up to Surfers and other areas. The area remains unspoilt and relaxing. You could hire pushbikes for the day and go off and explore on the bikeway/pedestrian pathway. You can even get your groceries delivered from the closest Woolworths! We can't wait to go back. It's our happy place and we love it.

I don't think there was anything we didn't like. It was all amazing and peaceful.

We have always enjoyed our stay at golden riveria Howe ever this time the unit ( 55) was very close to the road and was noisy at night And bathroom tiles slippery and a bit dangerous with the need to climb in and out of bath with half open glass door to shower But apart from this we loved our stay Will choose a different unit next time

The location is exceptional, right on the beach, a surf club that serves lunch and dinner as well as drinks, a great arrangement of restaurants and cafes just across the street as well as a service station and an IGA all within a very short walk. The apartment was quite spacious with a stunning garden and pool with spa, underground parking with allocated spot. Stairwell right to your front door. This place is second to none! Spacious kitchen, microwave, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, large fridge and lots lots more. I can’t recommend this beautiful place enough. We will be back whenever we are at the Gold Coast.
