The location is great. It's within walking distance from Coolangatta (Gold Coast) Airport. It's a good choice if you are looking for a place to stay after your flight at night. It's also not far from Kirra beach and Coolangatta. The room space is big and has plenty of space compared to other YHA in Australia which makes me comfortable with that space even in a 6-female dorm. The bathrooms and toilets are clean.

If your destination is Surfers Paradise or you travel from Brisbane, you may find this place is a little bit far away. There are limited options of public transport. There is no train or tram stop nearby, but you can take buses to explore the city.

The facilities were very clean and had everything you would need if you wanted to cook. Kitchen was spotless. Staff were great. Toilets and showers were kept clean and always accessible. I had single bedded room. Bed was very comfortable and linen was towels were of high quality. Pillows were excellent. I’m a 64 yr old women travelling solo and didn’t feel uncomfortable at all even though the majority of the people were 18-30.

The bedroom was clean but there was a smell of urine unfortunately. Slightly overpriced for a room with just a bed in.

The staff very nice and helpful. They were able to accomodate my request in having my single private room without bathroom ready for early check in at 12.30pm. Pool was right outside my room which I had a chance to letdown for an hour and half before I started my course. Great seating areas outside and inside with very big kitchen with microwaves, stoves, hot water boiler and storage area. There was entertainment area that consist pool table, piano, guitars, tv. The shared bathrooms had a few shower block and toilets quite clean. Hostel across the road from Gold Coast airport and strangely I did not hear any planes and slept soundly.

No supermarkets near by, only service station opened down the road with not a lot to purchase. In the day, shops over in the airport opened. Would have loved to stay longer as a very nice beach near by that was not busy and views of Tweed Heads and Broadbeach

Such a relaxed, homely, sharing, safe environment. Comfy, cosy. My tween felt comfortable as soon as we arrived - which she hadn't done at other places we'd stayed. She loved that the arcade games were free. She felt safe and comfortable to make her food in the communal kitchen, on her own. Having her feel so at home, was the best feeling of all!! Staff friendly, helpful, informative. Beds were comfy, and I was nicely surprised by the state of the bedding! There were board games, nice big couches, a dining area, table tennis set up, pool table, 4 outside court yards so u could still be outside by yourself if u wanted to. They had put the heater on in our room for our arrival, and had new ear plugs and face masks waiting for us too! So much more accommodating than the flasher places that we'd stayed!

PAPER thin walls - luckily lovely guests that stay here. TRAFFIC is quite noisy being on a highway. NO AIRPORT SHUTTLE service, so walked a load of luggage to the airport at 4 am, for 10 min - we should've packed lighter lol. Again, thankful that we felt safe to do so, because of our nice, friendly environment.

Really convenient location for a completely quiet area - 5 minutes walk to the nearest beach, a few mins walk to a frequent bus that goes to Burleigh or the airport, 10 mins walk from the airport Free parking I felt safe here around the other guests, didn’t seem like a particularly social hostel though (probably because it’s so close to the airport, a lot of people don’t stay here to meet others) Has large, cosy and clean communal areas (e.g. the pool) that are great for this price point Female bathroom was good in cleanliness although other guests brought the cleanliness of the showers down

The room itself brought down my rating, I was in an-female dorm (#16) The fan in the room didn’t work and it was a hot night, and the windows weren’t big This room was close to a busy road and it was noisy from cars late at night (I had ear plugs luckily) The mattress was hard and not comfortable unfortunately, the cleanliness of the bed was fine although the price point is reflected Given the budget price, these aspects are reasonable but I’m writing about them so others know what to expect

Airport location, one block from the beach, excellent value. I walked 15 mins from the plane to the YHA. The room was very comfortable, the bathroom very clean, and there was ample space with a hanging rack, double bed and table. Everything was in walking distance, including the airport, dinner, coffee, the beach.

Was a little noisy due to the airport and main road, but they did provide excellent ear plugs. Also, the fluorescent lights outside my room were on all night. I hung my jumper over the gap in the blind though, and wore my eye patches. I slept well still. I do wonder why they could not have better sound proofing and blinds that block out the light though.

The hostel is very close to the airport, within walking distance :) It was very convenient for us since our flight arrived late at night. Our check-in was smooth, even though it was outside of the reception's opening hours, because we had messaged them in advance. I messaged at the last minute, but they were prepared, and we found the key to our room easily. All the instructions were very clear! The room was simple but comfortable, and the facility was clean and had a well-equipped kitchen too :) We wish we could have stayed longer!

The room I stayed in is long and narrow but clean and silent. The toilets are just next to the room, and they are spotless! There is a big kitchen with full appliances and next to it there are an inside living room and an external terrace with tables to eat outside. A swimming pool is also available. Walking distance from the beach.

TV room/ sofa area is an open space just by the entryway and check-in desk, so it's very noisy (not too easy to relax there or watch a movie without interferences).

Ebony was fantastic with greeting us and very accommodating. The signs with information is helpful too. Our room was very clean :) and thanks to the staff for going above and beyond. Happy that 10pm is minimal noise and for our night stay with my child was a great night sleep. Our double bed was super comfy! Thanks ☺️ for our stay and will be back again very soon!

Only wish the toilet was closer to our room with little one, but better the journey than more traffic noise.

I had a good stay at YHA. The common areas are wide and bright, there are many spaces to choose if you want to be quiet. Everything is clean, the kitchen is cleaned twice a day. Facilities are good, it has that little details you need - like a place to leave your stuff while you have a shower, lockers in the rooms, among others. Guitars and other instruments are a good plus as well.
