This is a very cute 50s-style hotel. It is located extremely close to the Gold Coast Airport. I would heartily recommend it for anyone looking for a place to stay before a flight. The breakfast basket was surprisingly generous in its options. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was small but very serviceable. The room itself was a bit larger than I had expected. The AC and heating options were good. Check-in and check-out were simple. The friendly hosts communicated well with us via email. There's no onsite parking, but there is generous street parking adjacent to each unit. It was a lovely place to kick off a holiday when we had a very early flight the next day.

Cute motel near the beach and walking distance from the airport. The free bikes are great fun for cruising along the waterfront path - lots of restaurants and activities within biking distance. It rained the whole time and there weren't many places to hang our wet clothes to dry. There was never anyone in reception when I walked past, and I didn't get an answer the one time I pushed the doorbell button (I didn't try calling the phone number as I never needed them that desperately, just for little questions). The included breakfast baskets are nice, and the queen bed was comfortably firm.

It was fantastic after a late night flight with a young one! Just what we needed to get some rest ahead of a big few days. The breakfast was fantastic! We had a hungry teenager so this was a fantastic addition.

It feels a little too harsh to say we didn’t like it, but the only thing is bathroom was a little small, we had two adults, a teenager and 3 year old, just not a lot of room to put clean/spare clothes or toiletries, but it was clean and what we needed. I did have an idea though as it was included in past reviews, the hosts, location and charm outweighs this however!

The rooms were equipped with thoughtful touches including a welcome basket of breakfast foods and snacks, a coffee machine and pods, a beach bag and beach towels, and personalised friendly information books covering the hotels amenities and what to do in the local area. There was also free bicycle hire, unfortunately none small enough for my 8 year-old to ride. The room had a lovely warm vintage coastal vibe, and was very comfortable.

The shower was very touchy, jumping from cold to very hot a few times We couldn't find the coffee pods but weren't too bothered. The TV did not have any streaming services, but considering the hotel had quite the retro vibe and plenty of DVD's were available at reception, this wasn't much of an issue either.

La costa was a beautiful stay. Close to the beach and like everywhere close to the beach it is also close to the main road but didn’t bother us at all. They even had amazing black out curtains which helped so much with the street lights and beaming signs. Great rooms with everything you need. Even had a cot for our little one and extra beach towels! Well equiped kitchenette and complimentary breakfast. We could even park off the street in a drive way in front of our unit making parking stress free with a 4 hour limit on the street. Linda was extremely helpful and was a great quality price even during school holidays!

Thank you your services and lovely accommodation. We stayed in the number three unit on Sunday night and we were delighted with the breakfast basket, cleanliness and condition of the place. Its location was perfect. We are definitely recommending this place to others and will also stay again! Additionally, thank you for setting up the cot, we added an extra blanket to the base for comfort, and it was super handy not having to bring one with us on our journey.

tbh, not sure the advertised breakfast basket, as well intentioned as it might be, is much to write home about. aircon worked well, but bathroom had none and got very hot. curtains/blinds had holes, tricky to keep sunlight out. my room had an interconnecting door which, together with the floor boards, transmitted a lot of noise once a noisy family moved in next door.

I chose this property because it was reasonably priced, close to the airport and the beach. I was pleasantly surprised how beautiful it was. The beach was so beautiful and relaxing with no crowds!! The complementary breakfast basket was amazing!!! Thank you! It meant that we didn’t have to search for a breakfast place before we dropped our daughter off on her early flight back to Cairns. I would definitely stay again.

Small bathroom

A nice traditional Gold Coast motel in a great location with proximity to the beach. We were flying in a11.30am for a 1.30pm wedding same day and struggled to find a hotel that would guarantee an early check-in, even the massive Airport Rydges. La Costa organised for the room to be ready from 11.00am and its proximity to the airport allowed us to walk there in 10 minutes. The room was clean and neat and the bed quite comfy with everything that you need for a short stay. Would stay there again.

This little boutique is a charmer ~ it has everything you need for a quick weekend getaway! The beach access is within walking distance to this accommodation. Easy check in and check out. Though, we didn't use the mini bar - it was a delight to see that much variety. And, BONUS we loved the breakfast basket, very generous!

The beach towel will cost you. We didn't end up using it, lucky we had our own. Although, there was plenty of variety in the mini bar & fridge, it didn't give us enough space to store our own food / drinks. Very minor details, but we loved our stay! So thank you!
