After a 7.5 hours flight from hell thanks to Jetstar where I was not sure if would even get to the hotel, I was relieved that communication was first class, empathy in good supply, and what a wonderful thing it was to just take 100m walk from the ghastly day to the hotel at OOL Airport. The staff checked us in very quickly, some food arrived very quickly. The staff were all friendly and great. The layout, rooms, decor, pool area, pool tiling and pool depth have clearly been designed by someone(s) with brains, taste, and with comfort and usefulness and views being a priority. How refreshing compared with some of the run-down dumps masquerading as accommodation in NZ and at prices more than this great hotel. The gym looks right over to mountains with the treadmills looking right at them. There is also nice outside area for seating and looking at the sea view near the gym - again very smart and useful and well designed - yes! Impressed and looking forward to returning hopefully less destroyed by another misadventure on as one outraged passenger called it (pre-historic star)!

Nothing except how I got to the hotel - i.e. terrible flight. Everything else was impressive.

It’s location and general appearance and cleanliness, the housemaid’s were very friendly as on the whole were all the staff.. The staff on leaving were very professional and polite and acknowledged everyone whilst trying to deal with the sudden rush of people leaving. Breakfast the usual standard. Really surprised because other airport hotels,because of the short stay nature tend to suffer lack of care.

One flaw the receptionist on arrival was unfriendly. On arrival at 13:40-13:45 I was told My room wouldn’t be ready until 14:00 , she didn’t check it was just a stock reply and delivered in quite a terse manner.

One of the best airport stays we’ve had! A very comfortable and spacious room (and very quiet, we didn’t hear any flights arriving or leaving!), excellent breakfast buffet, and the hotel is just a 2 minute walk from the terminal. We ended up checking in for our flight and dropping our bags first, then headed back to the hotel to have breakfast, which worked really well. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Public transportation is also nearby just across from the terminal, we took a bus to Palm Beach (12 min I think on the 777, and all public transport is only 50c) and had a lovely dinner at the Collective. The hotel has a lovely restaurant too but we’re vegetarian and there aren’t too many options for vegetarian mains, however having the bus stop so close is wonderful! No long walks or higher rates for the airport stop, which is rare. Perfect hotel to book when arriving or departing from Gold Coast airport!

Fantastic location for early morning flight from Gold Coast airport. Rooms were modern and clean. It was a little pricey - but worth the money for the convenience.

We stayed in winter. The only blanket on the bed was very thin. It was not warm or comfortable. The spare blanket in the wardrobe was not much better. There was only one pillow per person on the bed and only one spare in the wardrobe. We were able to go to the airport and check-in and then come back to the hotel for breakfast - but be warned, they will not allow you into the restaurant until 6am on the dot. They made us wait in line at the door. It would have been nice to get seated with a coffee a little earlier - especially since their website states that the restaurant is open for coffee and light snacks from 5am.

Lovely hotel, we have stayed many times. I just needed extra bedding which I was given and the toilet seat needed to be reattached! Which it was

It would be good if a shuttle bus was run to Coolangatta especially when Cooly rocks is on. I'm sure people would happily pay $5 each for a one way trip. It's just the bus service was so so poor with waiting times up to 45 minutes. It was so frustrating. This means that next year I may try and book closer to Coolangatta as it really negatively impacted the experience and though nothing to do with the hotel there were a lot of us very frustrated.

Great room, comfy bed, tea coffee facilities in the room and complimentary bottles of water. Restaurant downstairs had a great atmosphere, food was delicious and our breakfast each morning was great.

I unfortunately hadn't read the fine print of the $25/night charge for parking and there is no guarantee of a park if you're coming in late after going out as happened on our first night at 11:30 pm after a function at twin towns, fortunately a staff member was finishing her shift and gave us her park. Normally they suggest you park across the road in the airport parking but that was full too. Maybe it was just that the hotel was fully booked over the Easter weekend, but we chose to stay in the second night just to guarantee a car park, certainly not ideal on holiday. We were also disappointed that the rooftop bar is now closed for casual drinks

The hotel is extremely well located to the airport and isn't far to the beach in a car. Check-in was easy and quick and we were able to park our rental car in reception for half an hour while we checked in and put our bags in our room. The room was spacious and quiet. The bathroom was clean and the shower was spacious with good pressure. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent!

More pillow choices would've been good. The outlook of the room was over a neighbouring rental car provider carpark (though could see the coast a few kms beyond).

The room was very pleasant and soundproof - I didn't hear a single airplane during my stay. The bed was very comfortable and I really appreciated the complimentary water bottles in my room. The pool was long enough that one can swim in it, which was an added bonus. I liked that I had free breakfast included in my stay and appreciated the breakfast hours (6:30-10:30am), as I had to leave the hotel at 7am each day. Also loved the fact that one can get a $10 eco credit at the restaurant for every day one doesn't require the room to be serviced.

While I loved having free breakfast included in my stay, I probably would say that the buffet is not really worth the $33 stand-alone price. Was also thinking that somebody who is vegan would not find much apart from some dry cereal, melon and a few grapes. One other thing to mention is that there is a 5G tower about a 100m from the hotel, so if you are trying to avoid those, you're better off to go elsewhere.

It wasn't crowded - we never saw anyone on our floor. Meals are available all day in the spacious, open plan lobby restaurant. Lovely ground floor pool, but people in restaurant/ lobby can see you ie not private location. Impressive gym and patio on the top floor (well worth going up there for the views).

They do advertise a rooftop bar on the recorded message, but that doesn't actually operate. The bar in the lobby operates most hours though. Be great if parking was free for guests. Being in the airport precinct there aren't really any free street options if you do not want to pay $25 per night. Be great if there was a guest operated laundry.

Absolutely great staff, very professional and willing to go that extra mile! Well done to the staff. The location was great as we had a great view from our room. It was very quiet and you would never know your next door to the airport! Wonderful Buffet breakfast the choices were excellent and had all you needed, well worth it.

The only thing they had was the small sachets of coffee or tea, but no biscuits? Usually in these types of motels you would expect some sort of snack but surprisingly nothing?pretty sad for what you pay to stay here?
