The staff are amazing. The are so helpful and accommodating especially the reception and shuttle service. No request was too hard, they made my stay exceptionally easy with drop offs. The went above and beyond to help out. I was at a sporting event and forgot my food and water eski behind, they went into my room and got it and bused it to me. I was so grateful and impressed with the level of customer service. The pool area is fantastic and the hotel is so child friendly - will always stay there when in town, I used to stay somewhere else for business but have swapped my hotel stays to Ascot from now on.

Nothing loved it

The one-bedroom hotel suite we had was lovely, had everything we needed, and it was great having 2 TVs as our teenage son was able to watch what he wanted from his pullout bed/couch in the living room and we watched something different. Also we had dinner, which although was quite pricey, was really nice. The indoor swimming pool, sauna and spa pool were also really enjoyed by our family, so nice to have fun things to do inside on rainy days. It's only 10 minutes from everything pretty much in Invercargill as well so really hand to everything. The kitchen in the suite was great, and fully stocked, and when we wanted extra coffee and hot chocolate sachets, the reception was more than happy to provide these. It was also lovely having a large spa bath in the bathroom. Highly recommend for families and couples, everything you need here.

Really enjoyed our stay. Quiet room, plunger coffee and milk on arrival, and tv in lounge and bedroom. Nice big bath and shower too. Plenty of free parking. We loved the indoor pool, was lovely and warm, and the small gym on the little mezzanine was handy too.

The only thing I'd suggest improving is to buy new mattresses that are a medium to soft, as the beds were so hard that we didn't sleep very well at all.

Stayed in motels. They looked a little run down from outside but what a wonderful surprise when we opened the door. 5 star accommodation. Big rooms super comphy beds wonderful shower laundry facilities next door. Warm and very very clean . Very nice furnishings. Free parking. Sports bar for a cold beer after a long drive. Excellent buffet breakfast. Very friendly staff.

Breakfast was HUGE - OH my God 500mls yogurt, whole tin of fruit, I ordered toast _ got 4 slices!!!! WOw, delivered promptly. Hot & delicious 😋 Can you come to my home address every morning . Fantastic xxx

The only unfortunate thing is that you are located right at the start of Invercargill, so there is lots of heavy trucks coming through . Nothing that can done about location.

The Hotel has a large layout and very accommodating,the restaurant,bars & public areas were great for our large family gathering.Also having a indoor pool , spa & sauna were a bonus The breakfast & restaurant/ bar food very tasty and well priced Plenty of parking with electric charging Large well designed bedroom & bathroom If you are staying in Invercargill this place would be hard to beat

Spacious room, fabulous facility. Staff were very accommodating. Everything you could need is onsite, especially if you're there for a function. We had dinner in the Emberz Bar, buffet breakfast in the restaurant and attended a wedding reception, and the food was outstanding. Such a high standard.

The only problem we had was being a little too far out of the reach of the internet. We sat in one of the lounge areas to deal with emails and such.

We were upgraded to a superior hotel room. It was spacious, quiet and very comfortable. Excellent bed, bathroom was very well appointed . The room service was fast and the best GF food. Thai beef salad and beetroot salad followed by crème brûlée and potted cheesecake. Exquisite, all of it. The staff were very friendly and professional. Well done Ascot. Thank you.

Stayed in the Old Motel part of the complex. Very spacious rooms with small kitchen; hot plate, microwave, etc. The location and accommodation worked out perfectly for our small group. The staff were very helpful and there is a restaurent on-site, in the main part of the hotel only 3 minutes walk - well priced & diverse menu. Definitely would stay there again.

Staff are very friendly and helpful. Bar and restaurant are great serving lovely food. The rooms are clean and tidy with nice decor and a comfy bed. The bathroom was lovely too. Great shower. Happy to recommend.

Being gluten and dairy intolerant meant I had very limited options for the buffet breakfast unless I chose the full breakfast which was more food than I required and therefore not good value for money. I was able to order separately though so a good outcome.
