It is very central to everything and we were really only using the room to shower and sleep so it was good for us. It was also very clean and quiet and the staff were very friendly. They also easily accommodated our requested late check in time (due to taking a late flight) with no issues at all. Will stay here next time we are down.

If we were spending more time in the room it may have been a bit harder as there was not enough seating in the lounge area for us to all sit together. We didn't need that though. It would have been good to have the option of a second key, or have something I the room saying what was around us, food wise etc and also to say what to do when checking out.

We initially had issues with our room. The Staff and Management were all very understanding and issues resolved. The Manager found us another room.

Residual odour from cleaning products was overpowering and the room layout was uncomfortable due to the location of the wardrobe being placed very close to the bed. On our second day we asked Staff for help. They were helpful and referred to their Manager who visited us in our room. They completely understood and without hesitation found us another room for our second night which was odour free and very comfortable. Thank you.

I loved the location, it was great. The mall was across the road and the airport was in a good distance. The staff members were friendly and helped me arrange a taxi to the airport which I found Helpful. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Invercargill. The view from my room was better then I thought, I stayed on the 4th floor over looking the airport, railway, and Kmart which I enjoyed seeing.

There was nothing that I did not like. Though being able to open a window I would have liked but I understand that would have been apart of the old building design.

location, room and other facilities were all good. As we didn't eat breakfast at there, we cannot say about that. In addition, parking lot in the building was awesome to escape from the hot weather :)

Firstly, when we walked the floor corridor, we smelled painting smells. we thought some walls were painted at that time. Secondly, when I parked my car, it was a little hard to enter the parking lot at the entrance of the parking lot. I think if you add a mirror next to the door or other area to check the distance from the door and a car, it would be better to enter.

The Ibis Styles Invercargill was everything we expected it to be. No problems whatsoever. Particularly liked the very central location.

Parking was a bit of an issue. There were no vacant spaces at the hotel. Rather than pay for overnight parking elsewhere, we opted to park in the street, directly in front of the hotel. Whilst there is no charge for street parking between 6:00pm and 8:00am, it did mean we had to go down and pay for an hour whilst we had breakfast..

Lovely cleaning lady - Victoria who went above and beyond assisting us with luggage as our plane was not departing until much later in the day and we were booked out at 10am. Staff was very pleasant and helpful and it made a difference.

Very windy night and there was something loose constantly banging outside our windowright throughout the night.

Location was very central - great for exploring by foot, eating out, movies etc. would highly recommend the Ibus hotel

Cleaner needed to up her skills - rubbish bin hadn’t been emptied … someone else’s rubbish! Didn’t leave us a tea towel or dishcloth one day (we stayed 3 nights!)

Room was a little small but clean and fresh. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was good. Location was very good, just opposite Invercargill Central for shopping and meals. Staff were friendly and very helpful, arranging parking for us. Good value for money.

Really neat room with everything we needed.

There’s a step going in to the bathroom. There needs to be some sort of watch the step sign or marking and at night maybe a wee strip light as it’s not a small step and not easily seen.

The rooms we had were lovely (2 bedroom & 1 bedroom apartment). Great space and comfortable beds. We didn't hear any noise from the street outside and overnight parking was easy.

They provide a kitchen which is great but there were no utensils? We managed to improvise but they could do with adding a few extra things to make using the space much more enjoyable.
