We were upgraded to a 1 bed unit with a King sized bed + Single with a full kitchen with plenty of equipment. The sofa was comfy and the shower had plenty of power and hot water. A big bonus was being allowed our dogs in the room, especially when torrential rain and gales arrived. A little too far to walk to the city or Queen's Park but 5 min walk to a 4Square and a BP garage for fuel and basic groceries. Drive via Tweed Street to avoid town traffic and the numerous t.lights!

We only heated up a home-made meal but an extractor above the cooker would be useful to anyone cooking from scratch. The stiff shower handle made it tricky to find a temperature that wasn't too hot or too cold.

We were in an upstairs unit. The units beside and below us smoked outside their units where chairs and ashtrays were provided and as it was a hot evening our door was open and their smoke filled our unit. Maybe consideration could be given to putting non smoking guests away from the units occupied by smokers or having a designated smoking area away from outside the units in the garden area.

Always a great place to stay when in town, Handy location to the main road, and other roads through City central, room is welcoming with plenty of room to move about and settle in for the evening, Bed was great and bathroom facilities great with a full force shower available, and normal kitchen facilities.

climbing the stairs with bags is a bit of a Challenge, so becarefull, or opt for a ground floor room.

The owners were absolutely wonderful. Nice to stay where the hosts come across as actually enjoying there days rather than making you feel like you are a nuisance by staying. Would recommend.

Aircon would have been nice but not actually a problem. A nice to have but not something that would stop us from going back to stay.

Easy to find along the motel strip. Pleasant lady at reception. Nice clean & spacious room.

Silly us, should’ve requested a ground level room. Had to cart everything up the stairs! ( not their fault) Also - big step up into the shower recess. Not a huge problem but good for people to know. We got the last parking spot. Not one for one/room

Really enjoyed our stay, the very best part of which we're the lovely, accommodating owners. Found the motel itself to be in a very handy location for our visit to Ascot Park Raceway, a leisurely 15 minute walk. The bed was comfortable, the room spacious, quiet and clean. Good value for money and would definitely stay again, thank you!

If I had to pick holes I would say the room got quite hot at night as there was no air conditioning. But most of the year I can't imagine that would be problematic.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, we were made to feel very welcome and had a comfortable and pleasant stay. we will definitely stay here whenever we come to Invercargill. One of the nicest places we have stayed in all New Zealand, We travel with our dog and we were made to feel this was no imposition at all. We arrived before check-in time and this was no problem, we were able to go straight to our unit to have a welcome rest after a long drive to get there.

Friendly and welcoming staff. The rooms are pretty basic but it's exactly what I was expecting. Nothing fancy but everything you needed was provided.

Lack of shelving in the shower was pretty irritating. Would also have appreciated an option to opt out of housekeeping, as I really didn't need someone coming into my room every day.

Comfortable bed, fluffy towels, helpful and friendly managers/owners.

A robe hook in the bathroom would have been helpful. Bowls in kitchen cannot be called bowls, more like a plate with a slight dent in it. We had to buy breakfast cereal bowls.
