The breakfast and housekeeping were very well organized. The hosts were very kind and welcoming. The room was extremely spacious and comfortable.

You need to climb the stairs to get to the rooms, may not be good for old people or for the ones with back or knee issues, especially with the luggages, as there is not always someone to help you with the luggages.

The whole experience of staying at Alessandra and Giuseppe’s B&B was exceptional. They are wonderful hosts who have turned a beautiful old apartment - with stone balcony’s, original patterned tiles on the floor, beautiful painted ceilings and art hanging - into the perfect place to stay. The property is very high end with beautiful bed linen and towels, perfect designer furniture and marble in the bathroom. It was also extremely clean, spotless. I liked the location as it felt calm, but was only a short walk from places to eat or shop. We were also really treated at breakfast - hot proper French croissants, yogurt with granola, fresh fruit, warm assorted very nice bread in a basket, local jams, coffee, juice. We could have had eggs, or avocado on toast too. We went for our last dinner in Sicily to a fish restaurant recommended by Alessandra and Giuseppe and it was super good, I don’t think we would have ended up there unless they had suggested it. Five stars all round.

The rooms and building are absolutely gorgeous, everything has been recently refreshed. The pictures don't do justice to the remarkably high level of detail that went into every aspect of this very carefully renovated building. The rooms are not only beautiful but also very comfortable and we slept very well in the comfy beds and rooms with high ceilings. Everything is very quiet (with the exception of the main door, which can be heard at times). The hosts are extremely kind and attentive to details, helping us make every aspect of our stay as enjoyable as it could have been, from restaurant recommendations to helping us organise a Tour to Mount Etna. Breakfast is prepared à la carte and with very high levels of attention to detail as well.

As a very minor detail, some confusions of foods ordered for breakfast (e.g. scrambled instead of fried eggs, but they were also super tasty).

Alessandra and Giuseppe are excellent hosts, super kind and helpful, always ready to give the guests necessary information about sights, routes and transport. The rooms are designed and furnished with exceptional style, well-equipped and perfectly clean. Breakfasts are truly delicious and substantial with a wide choice of sweet and savoury dishes every day. Great location to discover Catania. In case of visiting the beach they even provide beach towels and vouchers to the beach club.

I have travelled extensively and I can honestly say this is one of the best places I have ever stayed at. From the moment Alessandra opened the door, we could see it was a real gem, so beautifully designed and furnished. Alessandra and Guiseppe are brilliant hosts who provided such a warm welcome. They could not do enough for us - providing directions, offering suggestions for places to visit, Guiseppe even took us and our bags to the airport bus stop! Breakfast had several choices and was beautifully presented and served in the elegant breakfast room. Alessandra and Guiseppe took time out to chat to us about what we had done the previous day and helped us with plans for the current day. I cannot recommend Cuiri de Strata highly enough and would definitely stay here if I go back to Catania.

There was nothing I did not like about this place.

I travel often for work, and usually stay in 4-star hotels or higher, but Ciuri di Strata truly impressed me. Quiet location, very comfortable beds, beautiful design with a great attention to detail, and we loved the Nespresso in the room - such a nice touch. Breakfast was exceptional – custom-made with high-quality ingredients. The owners are incredibly friendly and gave great restaurant recommendations. I’d definitely stay here again when visiting Catania!

I rarely leave reviews but I can’t fault this place at all. Wow. It’s stunning from floor to ceiling. Every detail has been thought about – toiletries, hygiene, decor. THE COMFIEST BED I have ever slept in after years of hotel stays. I loved it so much I almost stayed another week so I could enjoy the hospitality and perfect room. The hosts are as wonderful as in the reviews. Prepared breakfast a little early for me and it was incredible and carried my heavy suitcase up the stairs like it was easy. Beautiful and attentive. If you’re staying in Catania, stay here. You won’t regret it. Super central too. One of my fave hotels ever.

The hosts of Ciuri di Strata are just lovely and very welcoming. Our room was a good size with a small balcony, the bed was comfortable, shower good, and the toiletries smelt divine! The street was nice and quiet but it's close to restaurants, shops etc, about a 15 minute walk to the cathedral and historical part of the city, and 20 minutes from the train station. The breakfast was lovely with a nice choice, including homemade touches.

We enjoyed everything about our 1 night stay! If we were to return to Catania, we would definitely stay at Ciuri di Strata again.

The owner, a truly warm-hearted and helpful host, made our experience even more special. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the beauty of the place. The owner provided us with all the necessary information on the first day and was always available to help with anything we needed, whether it was arranging a taxi, offering fantastic restaurant recommendations, or suggesting must-see attractions. We were truly impressed by the thought and care that went into the renovation of this gorgeous place. The beautiful and stylish design, especially the dreamy bathroom, made our stay even more delightful. We wholeheartedly recommend this accommodation and cannot wait to return for another memorable experience.

There was nothing to complain about

The most beautiful accommodation. We could not have been happier. Alessandra has a very good eye for detail and has designed the rooms wonderfully. The place, rooms and balcony’s are simply stunning and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. There is a fridge in the room with free bottled water and alcohol and juices available at a reasonable cost. An array of teas, coffees and biscuits are also included in the room. The breakfast was wonderful with good choice and came well presented, tasty and delicious. Alessandra could not do enough for us, she gave us lots of information about the area and was happy to store our luggage on our final day. Thank you for a magical break.
