The view was stunning and the room and bed very comfortable. Staff were friendly and attentive and food for breakfast was delicious especially with the gorgeous view from the restaurant.

The lack of air conditioning made it rather uncomfortable for sleeping. We would have opened the patio doors and listened to the sea but we were on the ground floor so didn't feel safe doing that. Might be worth requesting an upper room. We were rather surprised there was no communal lounge area for relaxing out of your room, when the weather is not suitable for the outside spaces.

The location was stunning, with access from the room directly to the beach. The room facilities were outstanding. Check in staff were lovely

There was a huge bath, but a strange shape , that made it difficult to get comfortable in. I was also disappointed with the food. It was very tasty, but quite expensive and very few seats allowed you to actually look out at the beach, which was the real selling point of the room. Our first server was lovely, very helpful, but our second server forgot items ordered and didn’t come across as friendly. It was also Marks Birthday and I had hoped to get him something special, but they didn’t do anything like that when I asked.

A really good quality small Lodge/Hotel right on Chesterman's beach/ Cox Bay - we had an ocean view room and the views were stunning. Generously sized rooms, immaculately clean with armchairs and blankets for sitting out on the balcony. We loved it as a 2 night base for our stay in Tofino. We ate there both nights as the food was excellent and saved us driving into town. Would recommend reserving your meal time.

Everything was great.

It’s a great location right on the beach, the building itself is attractive and fits in with the wild nature of the Tofino area and the crashing waves. The amenities were good. Water pressure and hot water were great, comfortable, clean, secure unit. The building was also generally very quiet at night so minimal if any interference from noisy neighbours. Large soaker tub in the bathroom along with a shower, robes and slippers, coffee and treats in the room. Added extras: umbrellas, rain jackets and portable lanterns to take on beach walks. Outside they have several fire pits with chairs, a shower station to rinse off sandy feet or shoes (or wet suit and surfboards). The dining room has a spectacular view of the ocean and the staff were very helpful and accommodating and the food was very good.

Nothing really. We would like to go again. My only negative is my own fault in that we probably could have used a firmer bed but didn’t ask about it. The pillow top style just doesn’t work with our aging bodies I think. Next time we will ask in advance and hopefully that option is available. But really everything and everyone was great.

The staff were friendly and the easy access to the beach was amazing. The views from the restaurant are spectacular.

The food prices at the restaurant weren't family friendly. When we went to go eat, they asked if had a reservation but when we said we didn't, they didn't sound confident they had room - I wish reception would have told us in advance to reserve so we didn't have this stress. There was an item on the menu that had to be ordered 24 hours in advance - this is helpful to know when checking in so we can plan accordingly.

What can you say for a stay which was as near perfect as one could get? In my opinion the equal of "The Luxury Hotel" in Tofino at a price the average traveler can afford.The only slight negative was in the restaurant where the food was top quality but portions were large for us old folks. This seems to apply to most restaurants in Canada. Why not add a senior's menu as most restaurants in Europe do. It would avoid the practice of many plates going back to the kitchen with food wasted. Cost effective and good for the environment. Otherwise no complaints whatsoever.

We had a room with a view of the Ocean, which was absolutely amazing. Having breakfast in the restaurant watching surfers navigate the intense Pacific…was something we will cherish forever. Walking on the beach and exploring the adjacent little islands was super fun. The room was super cozy! Loved the rain coats…trust me you will most likely need them…but the rain is all part of the magical experience. We had lots of great weather as well.

The hot tub was far from the beach hotel…it would be nice to have a hot tub and/or sauna within the hotel area. The hot tub was a bit small for the total size of the complex. No where to buy snacks or personal hygiene products. A small little area with pop/juice/snack options would be perfect! :)

The cabin was beautiful. We had a lovely fireplace, full kitchen, our own hot tub, outdoor wetsuit rack, two bathrooms and the two bedrooms were on separate floors. We loved how close we were to the ocean - just a short walk. We told them it was a special 40th birthday celebration for two friends and there were two bottles of cider waiting for us upon arrival with a congratulations note. The staff were friendly and professional. We enjoyed dinner and drinks by the fire in the restaurant and casual drinks and boardgames at the surf club another night. I am already planning my next visit!

We should have booked another day!

We loved being so close to the sea in a relaxed environment with very professional service. The food was excellent. We were also impressed with all the facilities and the little touches- the coffee press, water proof coats, sweets in a jar. We were grateful have access to free laundry facilities. We can’t fault our experience and would definitely come back.

Perfect location and amazing view; the beach is beautiful. The room was extremely clean, very spacious and cozy. Staff was very helpful and polite and the food was great.

Our room was next to the kitchen so sometimes there were a bit of noise and smell since we had to pass by the kitchen to go to the main area or simply exit the hotel.
