Staff were friendly and accommodating (I couldn't check in during the given time window). Room spacious and clean with easy-to-use shower. Breakfast area spacious and well maintained. Easy access to both the seashore and town centre shops. John Street carpark, immediately behind the building, was free 6pm to 8am and payable by RingGo for other hours.

On-street parking on Mary Street was scarce (though John Street carpark nearby). Not the place if a window view is important to you. No gluten-free option for the continental breakfast (though some cereals had no listed allergens); not sure how they'd manage this if it were offered; maybe leave a bread roll in the bedroom?

Clean and comfortable room with en-suite and a lovely powerful shower. Plenty of storage in room to unpack and put stuff if you’re staying for a few nights. Breakfast was help yourself continental with a big choice of cereals, bread, cereal bars and pastries. Great location very close to sea front and town with an array of shops. Emma greeted me on arrival, very friendly and was on hand if I had any queries. Would definitely stay here again.

Could have done with a mirror in the bedroom. There was only one and that was on the bathroom wall. WiFi signal was also hit and miss.

Loved the location. Central for everything and a short walk to beach. Porthcawl is a lovely place to explore. No noise from street etc. Great nights sleep in comfy bed. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Continental breakfast suited me fine.

Parking can be an issue, however there is a car park behind Mary House. Free between 6pm and 8am. The tv being up at the side of the bed. However this did not spoil my stay.

The room was clean, we were able to have an early check in, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is superb.

The room wasn't decorated as advertised however we were given an early check in so this may have been the reason we were provided with this room. There was plenty of options for continental breakfast but I would have liked there to be a buffet breakfast and someone serving. Nevertheless, the place was clean and the hosts were friendly.

The room was clean .location was in a great position. Best sleep ever bed was so comfortable and property was quiet.Emma who welcomed me was brilliant and so helpful.i liked it so much I stayed an extra 2 nights.continental breakfast was ample .highly recommend

The host was very welcoming and friendly. There was a good selection of breakfast items and well laid out. The bed in our was comfy, and we slept well. The shower was powerful and had a good range of temperature

The shower door in our room was not able to be shut completely due to some slight damage

Lovely owner, quick and easy check in, comfy bed, everything was fab except for the stains on the bed and the left lamp flickering and water pressure a tad low for the shower, Little things really we just swapped the duvet around so the stains were at our feet. What we expected for the price. Would stay again, thank you.

Everything was spotless. My bed was super-comfortable but the other guest was so tired, he doesn't remember whether his was comfortable or not. The shower was straightforward to operate and nice & warm. The Co-op is just around the corner and the seafront a couple minutes' walk down the road.

Only the weak wifi, but on this occasion we were only there to sleep, so not really bothered.

A very well located guest house. Room pleasantly warm, very quiet for a good night's sleep. Plenty of hot water. Breakfast, as advertised, was continental with a good selection of items. Everything appeared well organized and calm. I shall certainly stay there again. Very good value.
