Our stay at 71 Nyhaven in Copenhagen was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable. The staff were incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. The rooms were beautifully designed, blending modern amenities with classic Scandinavian charm. We appreciated the attention to detail, from the luxurious bedding to the thoughtful touches like complimentary refreshments and high-quality toiletries. The hotel's location is perfect for exploring the city, situated close to major attractions, restaurants, and public transportation. Despite being centrally located, the hotel provides a peaceful and quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. Breakfast each morning was a delightful experience, offering a wide variety of fresh, delicious options that catered to all dietary preferences. The hotel's restaurant also provided an exquisite dining experience with a menu that showcased local flavors and ingredients.

71 Nyhavn is a hotel with 130 rooms located right at the waterfront in one of the main tourist hotspots of Copenhagen. It's a busy area, yet our room was pleasently quiet at night. All major attractions are easily walkable, including Christianshavn which is just on the opposite side of the sea and can be reached by a footbridge. The hotel is conveniently located just a short walk from one of the main metro stations (Kongens Nytorv) with a direct connection to the airport (M2, yellow line, 14 minutes). The historic brickstone building has its lobby and a restaurant in the basement (which is also where breakfast is served). Rooms have wooden beams and come in different sizes, ours was fairly small but fully sufficient for a weekend trip. We had a nespresso machine in our room, capsules were refilled free of charge. All other drinks would have been charged, including bottled water. However, a water fountain with filtered water was available in the basement. Our bathroom came with a shower and refillable toiletries (shampoo/bodywash, conditioner, body lotion), and had floor heating. It did not have much storing space, and the shower was also fairly small, but again fully sufficient for a weekend trip. Our room faced one side of the building and did not have canal or sea view, windows could be opened. Breakfast was served in the basement, buffet-style. There were lots of options, including several freshly made smoothies, ginger shots, and eggs prepared to your liking. However, the room was packed at peak times and tables very close to each other which made the atmosphere rather busy and hectic. Staff was helpful and professional. Early check in at 1:30 pm was not possible given how busy the hotel was, but our luggage was kept and had been brought to our room when we received our room keys at 3 pm.

Location is absolutely excellent on the edge of the canal with numerous places to visit and, at this festive season, utterly captivating. The place itself is so special with its wooden beams projecting all over. Our bedroom was so tastefully presented with great views as was a corner bedroom. The Italian restaurant was sublime and was such a surprise. The team at the hotel went out of their way to oblige.

Well only one thing and that is my fault. I have visited Denmark for 19 years, every year, and have stayed elsewhere including a rather boring 5 star. It is regrettable we have only just visited here. Best hotel we have stayed at in Copenhagen.

The room was absolutely lovely, and the location couldn't be better. Right on the canal, but not smack dab in the middle of the busy pedestrian street so it felt a little more private. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The staff was exceptionally accommodating, customer service at its highest. 100% would stay at Nyhavn 71 again next time we're in Copenhagen.

My only very minor comment here is that the bathroom was slightly... less than private. But it's also a historical building... if you're comfortable with your travel partner, you can't beat this beautiful hotel.

The front of house staff made checking in a pleasure. They we courteous, friendly, professional and helpful. After an early start and two flights, they made us feel incredibly welcome. The rooms were fantastic, beautifully decorated and the beds....THE BEDS, were like sleeping on velvet. So luxurious and comfortable. The choices at the breakfast buffet were never ending..and very well laid out. Dont be surprised to go for a second or even third plate..superb. We ate at the restaurant in the hotel the first night and it did not disappoint. The food was exceptional. Compliments to the kitchen. The staff who served us were exceptional. They made for an enjoyable meal in a relaxed setting and gave us a few laughs along the way. Great characters but also extremely professional. I would genuinely love to return to this gem of a hotel.

Beautiful beds, location is superb. Breakfast was fantastic.

It is an old building with low ceilings, the footsteps and movements of the people staying above can be disruptive at times.

Without a doubt a highlight of this stay was the person who welcomed us: Sophie at the front desk. Despite our early arrival, Sophie arranged for us to have early check in since our room was ready; moreover, she gave us fantastic recommendations on places to visit for the entire stay, including restaurants and other activities that would allows to better appreciate Danish culture. She was super nice and a great way to kick start our stay in Copenhagen, congratulations to 71 Nyhavn for having such brilliant personnel in your team. And thank you also for the lovely surprise you left in our room to celebrate our honeymoon, it was a wonderful gesture! The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful and the location is 10/10; Nyhavn is one of the must-see locations for first-time visitors and the harbor makes for a wonderful walk rain or shine, any time of the day. Would return if given the opportunity!

Great hotel in an excellent location on Nyhavn. Many sights within walking distance. Quiet hotel with cozy rooms. Some rooms are a bit cramped and have no wardrobe. Rooms with a view are more expensive. My room (223) was very dark as there was only a small window. Very helpful, friendly and competent staff. Excellent breakfast buffet.

My first room #103. (changed after one night) Very small, no cupboard just hangers on a rack. Two drawers but only one could be opened. One was blocked by the bedside table.

Phenomenal hotel - rooms were beautiful, simply decorated but stylish and practical - and VERY comfy beds! We upgraded to a water view room and it was definitely worth it for the extra money - a beautiful view to wake up to and a VERY impressive breakfast spread - and we are fussy eaters!! Excellent location, right in the heart of the busy spot of the city (near lots of michelin restaurants) and great as a base to explore the rest of the city.
