Hotel Goldener Adler was a fantastic experience. I stayed for 5 nights with my girlfriend and we will have fond memories of it. The hotel is located in the main walking area overlooking the fabulous Inn river. The hotel building has an incredible history and is definitely a unique experience. I have to say that the staff is extremely professional and well trained, everyone from reception to cleaning to the restaurant staff. The price is a bit high, but unfortunately this is the trend now with most hotels. We didn't have a chance to experience the breakfast, but we went for dinner 2 times. The restaurant is definitely NOT a tourist trap as described by some tourists on certain review platforms. The portions are excellent and with a limited menu you can expect everything to be fresh. The cheese platter has some incredible local cheese types which I highly recommend. Overall it was a fantastic experience.

I'm not sure why a lot of hotels don't have refrigerators anymore. Perhaps to get the "sustainability" rewards. It is really frustrating because we can't store some easily perishable food. I also don't know who decided that bathrooms should be separated by a transparent glass wall. My pooping time is my alone time. This trend in hotels needs to stop at once. Other than those 2 minor issues, everything was perfect.

We really enjoyed our time in Innsbruck, what a lovely city and beautiful surroundings. We loved the hotel, it’s in a fantastic location right in the centre, on the pedestrian streets and just across the road from the market. The hotel is very characterful – very Austrian. The room was cosy and clean, the beds were very conformable and the shower was great. There are fantastic views of the mountains. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a convenient underground car park a couple of minutes away you can use when staying at the hotel 24/7. You can park outside the hotel to onload if you get there very early or late before the crowds – otherwise the pedestrian road outside can’t be used. I’m sure we’ll come back to Innsbruck and if we do we’ll stay here again.

The woman at the check-in was nice when I couldn't find my ID. The location is central, and I received information on how to use the nearby parking garage. The room had everything one could need and was a good size.

Reading about it made me expect a special and unique property. Even though the hotel has been open on that site for hundreds of years, and the outside of the building itself is historical, the room could have been a room at any nice hotel. I guess living in Europe and having the opportunity to visit many special places has spoiled me a bit. It was fine, but I wouldn't seek it out again. But then again, I wouldn't visit Innsbruck a second time, so I guess it's a matter of taste. Also, a tiny niggle. The cleaning cart, with lots of dirty linens, was parked outside our door all day and an unattended cell phone rang off and on. I'm sure they would have moved it if I'd complained, but I never got around to mentioning it.

I had spent 3 nights in another hotel at the other side of Innsbruck town before coming to the Golden Adler and I was met with wonderful friendly staff on the desk and it was like home from home. My room was absolutely beautiful and it had air conditioning and was clean, quiet and very comfortable too. The room was so so nice - I absolutely loved it! I wish I had stayed here for all my stay (I will definitely be back to visit). I had 2 nights booked here and they were simply perfect. Also the view was brilliant too. Simply heaven.

Nothing - it’s perfect

Although there was construction going on in front of the hotel which was very loud every morning, they accommodated us by changing our room to the quietest room in the place, on the top floor. We told them that we needed stronger Internet because we work online, and we even carry a little Starlink satellite with us just in case. They gave us a room next to a terrace just in case we need stronger Internet so we could use our satellite! It was also during a heat wave in the summertime, and they lowered the temperature on our air conditioning to accommodate us as well. We stayed for five days and couldn't have been happier with the way that they accommodated us. And our dog! And my bike.

The room is a little bit small for two people for five days plus a dog and a bike, but that's on us. Nothing about the hotel.

A lovely hotel in the heart of Innsbruck. Stayed for my honeymoon and couldn’t beat it for location! Also the bar is super cute and the staff were great at recommending local wines.

The overhead shower didn’t work, so had to use the small shower head instead, and there were roadworks/repaving going on outside whilst we were there which was pretty loud in the early mornings.

This is a unique hotel, housed in a building that started life in around 1340. The interior is quite fascinating with many items in the public areas highlighting the historical aspect of the hotel. The room I had was well appointed with probably the biggest bed I've ever slept in - very comfortable - a good desk, a large flat screen TV, a good sized safe, air conditioning, a kettle for tea and coffee, and a well fitted ensuite with a large shower with rainfall shower fitting. Everything in the room was spotlessly clean and there was the eco option to choose whether to have the room serviced or not every day (with a free drink for the days you don't require servicing). There is a small bar area and an atmospheric restaurant for breakfast and evening meals. Although breakfast wasn't included in my booking I did take it every day. There were plenty of options including cereals, cold meats, cheeses, juice, etc and scrambled or fried eggs were cooked to order. Evening meals in the restaurant were varied and delicious, and service was top class. For an extra charge, the hotel also provided a very good laundry service with a fast turnaround; clothes taken to reception first thing in the morning were laundered and returned by early afternoon. The hotel is in an excellent location right in the old town close to the main square. Within easy walking distance is the Hofkirche which was built as a memorial to Emperor Maximilian 1. The kirche contains an impressive cenotaph with a remarkable collection of German renaissance sculpture, it is well worth a visit.

Beautiful old hotel ,central location to everything you would want to see wonderful atmosphere in the square where the hotel is located. Very old world if you are looking for an authentic Austrian experience this is the place to come.

We were given a room on the fourth floor which essentially was the roof with small skylight windows felt a little closed in and quite dark. I think maybe a room on the third floor or down would be more enjoyable. This was our only disappointment.

Really fantastic location in the old town in a building full of history. I loved how the decor in the hallways celebrated the inn's past. I stayed in a single room, which was a bit dark but overall comfortable and functional. Also really appreciated the perk of being able to make a reservation at the restaurant downstairs (which was excellent) despite it being a busy Friday night.

My room didn't have the most natural light, but not a real problem since I was out in the city most of the day.

Very comfortable bed in a well-appointed if somewhat small room. The hotel was in the old town and a few minutes walk from most of the sights, information office and bus and tram services.

Not a lot of space to put belongings in the bedroom and no shelf space in the bathroom. The kettle apparatus took up an unnecessary amount of space. We travelled with two medium sized pieces of luggage and accommodating them in the room was difficult.
