Good value. It is not a 5-star hotel, but I found it clean and safe.

There was no sidewalk to this hotel from the major public transportation (Metra rail)

We liked the location; it was minutes from the base and made it easy to get to and from the Naval Base and nearby malls. Also liked the minimal breakfast and in-room coffee. we also appreciated being able to use the breakfast bar area for family dinners!

The bathroom vents and curtains need vacuuming. While we kept out the do not disturb sign after the 1st night, we really needed towel and trash service before the 2nd night. We took the do not disturb sign off, but got no service. I guess we could have taken our own towels to the desk (we took out our own trash, too), but we should not have had to. I realize that the Facility has back to back weeks of graduate families to take care of, but these things should be taken care of. if you only provide service upon checkout, say that. I still would have booked there due to how close it is to base.

The room was satisfactory. The bed provided unparalleled comfort, and the inclusion of a fridge added a convenient touch to the overall experience. I appreciated the spaciousness of the room, providing ample room to move around, and the available storage made it easy to keep my clothes organized. One of the highlights of my stay was the complimentary breakfast. The waffles, in particular, were a delightful treat, adding a delicious start to each day. Overall, the combination of a comfortable room, thoughtful amenities, and a tasty breakfast made my stay truly enjoyable.

Unfortunately, the shower in the room had a noticeable crack, which, while not affecting its functionality, was a bit concerning from an aesthetic perspective. Additionally, the sink had drainage issues, making it less convenient to use

The breakfast was decent. The hotel was situated only several minutes from the Navy Boot Camp where our son graduated from. Also, the hotel was conveniently located next to a Speedway and a restaurant. Beds were comfortable.

There was houses boarded up directly across the street from the hotel which was a real eye sore. Although, they offered free breakfast the choices were thin. Mainly waffles, breads, cereals, yogurt etc. No meats, eggs were included. Coffee creamer offered was only half n half. No real variety. Pillows need to be upgraded in the rooms. The fridge in the room barely kept our drinks cool.

Sleep inn near Great lakes base, 3250 Bittersweet Avenue, 60044, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! I want to point out that this hotel is a good place to book if you're looking to stay for your son or daughter's graduation for the Navy. It is only 1.5 miles away; however traffic does get crazy so leave a little bit earlier in the morning. Amazing customer service a queen bed with a microwave, fridge, coffee (almost all day) and Also very CLEAN🤩 Oh and Dunkin donuts right in front makes for a quick coffee run before the long wait to the base. Suggest downloading the app and pre order.

Hard bed/pillows. Seemed like small bed to be Queen. Toilet didn’t work upon arrival. Receptionist jiggled something in tank and water started flowing-told us that’s all we’d need to do if it happens again?? It did, spouse made a manual adjust on tank vs jiggling and no more issues. Guests should not have to fix your plumbing issues.

Location, staff friendliness, clean hotel, included breakfast. I felt like the bed was one of the better I’ve slept on.

Breakfast was good, but not amazing. I am thankful you had waffles though!! Butter was too cold to use effectively. It would be nice if the butter was set out to room temp.

The staff was friendly, the general property was clean; the continental breakfast was good, the waffles were great; the bed and pillows were very comfortable; the hotel is fully vested in the support of the Navy Graduation travelers and it is well positioned for quick access to the recruit base.

Did not see an ice machine on the third floor, so it was a pain to ride the elevator just for ice; the bathroom/shower is a little cramped, but not a deal breaker
