The hotel’s location is excellent—just a few minutes’ walk to the city center. Breakfast had a good variety and was quite satisfying, with staff who were both quick and attentive. The room was spacious enough for a family of three, and the balcony with a sea view was a nice bonus. While the room shows some signs of age, it doesn’t affect overall comfort. The pool is cleaned every morning, and the beach area provides sunbeds. The sea was also clean enough for swimming. Overall, it’s a family-friendly hotel. For those who love Greek cuisine or want to try it, there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance.

The hotel offers very good value for money overall. Its location is excellent—right by the water and within close reach of most key spots in Alexandroupoli. The pool is generously sized, and beach access is a real plus. The property is a bit old and could use some TLC, but the overall atmosphere is quite pleasant. The staff deserve a special mention; they are extremely helpful and constantly on the move to make sure guests are comfortable. The guest mix was quite unique, mostly people passing through from countries like Bulgaria, Serbia, Romania, and Turkey.

A couple of small downsides: they only provide one bottle of water per room per stay (not per day), which felt odd for a 4-star hotel, especially in the summer heat. Also, the gym was closed at 2 PM on a Sunday, which didn’t make much sense.

Everything was perfect! We loved staying at Grecotel Egnatia. Firstly, location is amazing, close to everywhere and a lot of restaurants/cafes etc. There is a parking space of hotel, we didn't have any issues with that. We first booked for one night as a family of 4 (2 rooms with balcony), however we liked it so much that we asked if there is availability for the next night. The staff were extremely helpful and nice, they said there is a suite available for 4 people and they even showed us the room before booking. They carried our luggages next day while we waited for the check in time for the other room at the beach. The breakfast was very delicious, there were so many options. The beaches of the hotel and the pools are really nice, it is not a very crowded hotel as well which enhanced our experience. We loved everything they provided in the rooms (the bathrobes, the slippers etc.). The scenery of both rooms were amazing. Overall, our experience exceeded our expectations, this was our first time here but won't be last, HIGHLY recommended :)

The internet in our first room was a bit slow but it was perfect when we switched the rooms. The bathroom door was problematic but we informed the reception as we were leaving and they told they'll check it.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make sure we felt at home throughout our visit. We loved taking strolls along the waterfront and exploring the local shops and restaurants, which were all within walking distance. The room itself was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, with all the amenities we needed to feel comfortable. The bed was especially cozy, making it easy to relax after a day of sightseeing. The breakfast served each morning was a delicious spread of local delicacies, and we couldn’t resist trying everything! During Easter, the atmosphere at the hotel was truly special. We had the opportunity to experience some traditional Greek Easter celebrations, which made our stay even more memorable. The hotel’s team organized a lovely Easter brunch, complete with lamb and other local specialties, and we enjoyed joining in on the festive spirit. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Grecotel Egnatia Hotel provided the perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and authentic Greek charm. We would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Alexandroupoli, and we look forward to returning in the future!

Great location with lots of programmes for children and adults. Private beach with free chairs and umbrellas, plenty of pools well maintained, including private. View from the room is great. Nice staff, helpfull, fast check in.

Sand quality is poor (dry plants, cigg butts, etc). Wi-fi very good outside but inside, no wi fi for three days (probably router down) in the respective building. In full season you may struggle with the parking - free but full.

1. My requests from the hotel were met without any problems. Our rooms were upgraded and delivered to us in a clean and ready condition. 2. The view of the rooms is perfect for those who love the sea and want to experience peace and quiet. The hotel is within walking distance to the center and even the coastal walking path is one of the most beautiful places for you to feel the peace of this city. 3. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful and they complete the procedures in a very short time. The best thing is that although it was said that we could enter the rooms from 15:00, they informed us that our rooms were ready at 13:00. 4. The breakfast is full of variety, quality ingredients, beautiful and healthy products. A pleasant breakfast is experienced with a quality presentation arranged for every taste. 5. Before New Year's, the hotel's lobby and relaxation area offer a visual feast with the Christmas decoration they made in addition to peace. 6. In addition to all these beauties, the fact that the hotel has a trouble-free parking lot is also a great advantage.

The facility, which is very close to the city center, is located at the beginning of the coastline. This road is closed to traffic after 20:00 in the evening. You can reach restaurants and shopping malls on the seaside and in the city center with a 5-10 minute walk. The facility has its own beach and pools. When you leave your room, you find yourself at the sea after a few steps. This feels so good. The sea is calm until 11:00 in the morning. It could be said to be clean, but it wasn't clear. (I guess the sea cannot be expected to be clearer due to the nearby port.) Afterwards, light waves come and it calms down again after 19:00 in the evening. There is no parking problem in the facility, which also has its own parking lot. The bathroom has both a shower cabin and a bathtub. The breakfast options were more than sufficient and delicious. The staff is friendly and helpful. Bulgarian, Serbian, Turkish and Romanian guests predominate in the facility. We were generally satisfied with the facility. The facility can be made even better with some interventions.

We stayed in the same room last year. When we entered the room, a fruit plate, various desserts and a bottle of red wine were waiting for us. Unfortunately, there was no such welcome this year. The bar serving on the beach can sometimes be busy and service delays may occur. The sand on the beach could be cleaned better. The number of showers on the beach can be increased. There could have been more electrical outlets in the room.

Its being next to the beach and close to the city center are the main assets. Parking capacity is good

Although I was notified that our credit card that was posted during the booking procedure would not be charged in advance and that there were no prepayment obligations I came accross with the fact that the hotel did draw the fees for the first night from that card in advance without notifying me. That was an inconvenience since I was planning to use another card with better payment conditions. And the hotel personnel was not friendly at this stage. Also the space for breakfast is limited so yo must wait a while for having a table.

The central location and the layout was perfect for our short 2-3 day in Alexandrapouli. The Easter weekend program was nice too. Nice gardens and rooms that were adequate.

The hotel looks a bit old from outside and dated, but it didnt bother us. Was a nice stay. The price of the evenning Easter dinner and event was too expensive at a 60euro pp for open buffet. When a family of 5 this can be way too much.

This is my third stay in this hotel. The staff are very helpful and polite. Location and breakfast are good. Even though I needed to change the reservation, they were very helpful and accommodating.
