Rooms are great, very clean, beds are comfortable and the best thing is location, very near city center and easy to find.

Parking is quite small, so there was no free space, but there is a public parking accross the street which is free on weekends, so it was ok. Besides that, I booked a room with bath tub, at least it was on the room photo and I got one with shower only. They say you need to specify that when reserving a room.

We chose the Savoy hotel mainly because of the location (very close to the Old Town of Timisoara), the free parking, extra large double bed and the price (which for a Genius user level 3 like me was especially attractive). Frankly, we rarely check for the number of stars ( **** for this hotel ), we mainly rely on the Booking ratings and other guests' comments. It seems that these were just a few of the numerous other advantages that the hotel offered us. The room was especially large, everything was very clean, well supplied with toiletries. The bed was truly awesome: two meters wide, memory foam, middle soft, we only had one blanket for both of us, but we immediately returned a second one upon calling the reception. The breakfast was very rich, both French and German style, with the most impressive part of it, at least for us, being the croissant filling machine (Nutella chocolate) and bowls of canned tropic fruit asorti. An important issue when I travel is having my room perfectly light proof, and I almost always note the hotels performance in this aspect. It was seen from the photos that rooms have long curtains but Hotel Savoy surpassed the expectation. This was the first time EVER that I've slept in a hotel with external roulette blinds in addition to the long blackout curtains, making the sleep experience absolutely complete and relaxing. I would definitely recommend the owner to add this information to their summary and list of offered options. Finally, while we travelled to Timisoara for pleasure and cake to enjoy the old town and its Christmas markets, the fantastic equality the hotel offered was definitely a solid part of the experience. While I'm surely going to recommend to friends Timisoara as a tourist destination, i will always be mentioning Hotel Savoy as the best option for accommodation while in this city.

Cleanness, stuff, room size, location.

What we didn't like was mostly up to us not the hotel. We had booked late. so we got the room located above ec chillers so we had to keep our windows closed to awoid the noise. With windows closed we could not hear them It is a game to get the hotel owned free parking spot. All and all, we had to pay only for two hours of public parking across the street, in our 4 days stay. Public parking was mostly available, additionally it was free during the weekend and national holiday. If you are not from EU state you have to use mobile app to pay for the imparking. If one has to pay for morning hours in the evening apps built in scheduler must be used.

The location was perfect, short walking distance from historic center. The room and bathroom were modern-simple, clean and spacious. I liked the sope in the bathoom - with organic essential oil. The breakfast was buffet style, with plenty of choices. Good coffe available. We loved freshly baked croissants😊. Staff members were realy kind. I would come again, if visiting Timisoara.

The big size bed was way too soft, pillows good size (i prefer small), but low quality. I was lycky that we had a third bed which was ok for me. Note: they only have a few parking spots - plan accordingly. (Good thing - Parking on the street is possible and free of charge sat-sun. Also, Hotel did let me know they cannot reserve a spot for us)

We liked, literally everything. This has been our second time in the Savoy Hotel and it will be our choice for the next visit to Timisoara. The staff is very kind reliable, helpful, the room clean and comfortable, specially bed, bathroom clean and big with everything needed and breakfast delicious with good variety of food. We had a place in the garage for our car. A quiet hotel next to the river and less than 10 minutes walk from the Opera house.

We liked everything but if I have to find a ''minus'', let's say it is a small garage which means that a place for the car cannot be booked in advance. Both times we stayed in the Savoy, we were lucky.

The room was pretty clean, it had many facilities as stated in the hotel presentation, such as hair dryer, quality shower, very nice shower gel as well as shampoo, so there was not a problem with that. The room is pretty clean and comfortable, the TV has many channels. There was also a small refrigerator with prices displayed on the table. The location is excellent, since it is very close to the city center. I didn't have breakfast because I didn't book one. As facilities, there are plenty of them as expected and you can also go to the gym for free.

The products in the fridge are a little bit expensive. The tap water is a little bit too hot and can't get cold. The room didn't have a sheet which presents all the facilities you get in the hotel, so you have to ask at the reception what is free and what is not.

I wanted to leave them a 5 star review, but the moment I finished breakfast, I said thank you to the waiter and he didn't even bother to answer me. Instead he turned his head away, disgusted and making me wonder if I smelled or had food in my mouth. Whatever... but because of someone like him, the hotel has to loose. Or maybe because I didn't tip him? Finally. Excellent hotel, large, spacious room, check-in was very fast - we were very tired. Restful sleep, just what I needed. Quiet and peace. Quite varied breakfast, buffet style, I recommend the eggplant salad and tomatoes/cheese salad. The coffee machine that makes your coffee on the spot complimented the food. A very nice experience, pity the waiter who wanted to ruin my day. And he didn't succeed...

The location is fantastic. Just a few minutes of walking to reach the old city's Cathedral and central squares area. It is also quite close to the University that I was visiting. Breakfast was of high quality, and you should not miss the delicious croissants :-) The staff was very polite and helpful. My room had a side view but was very quiet. It was spacious, with a coffee machine, a fridge, a working desk, two chairs and a table. The bed was really comfortable and large. The heating system works like a charm to make you feel warm even with freezing temperatures outside.

There is nothing negative to comment on.

I liked the room, it was clean. I liked the location, closed to downtown.

I didn't like the fact that the parking was not included. Booking said it's parking included, but after I paid it came automatic reply from the hotel that parking it's upon availability, it is not guaranteed.... Also the staff when we arrived there, because there wasn't parking available at the time of our arrival, wasn't very helpful about this matter...

Breakfast could be varied a little bit (we stayed for six nights and eat, essentially, the same thing every morning). Matresses should be changed, as they are old and bumpy. Still, the biggest problem is the lack of window nets. Doesn't meet the 4-star rating hotel
