Love the unique design of the rooms I was in the Louie room and it was all Jazz themed beautifully decorated even has a record player too!! The location as well so awesome easy access to the dine in kitchen for dinner and breakfast and on weekends live music (i was seated front row 👏) and then its super close to the beach too! Staff were exceptional Steve is super friendly and knowledgable about the area ask him about any activities to do places to see! And all front of house staff were fantastic and the food and drinks were awesome!! I Will be back to stay longer next time!!

The Bowie room was uniquely “Bowie” and for a couple of big fans this was cool. It had a nice bath, just big enough for 2, with water jets. The bed was comfy, the hotel was 2 minutes walk from a lovely beach. After dinner (in town) we relaxed on the veranda listening to the calming sound of surf. What’s not to love?

Nothing, oh, wait, yes. We have to wait all the way till May to come back and see Ed Kuepper perform at the music venue downstairs.

Great weekend stay at the BWBH. Loved the themed rooms, we stayed in the Ziggy room. Great spa bath that we used on both nights of our stay. Very comfortable king bed too. Restaurant food was of a high standard and we were very impressed with that and we also enjoyed the live music on offer on Saturday night and Sunday lunchtime. Great spot just across the road and a lovely walk through the bush to the beach.

There was nothing that we didn’t like about the property. A few things that may make a stay better would be the addition of soap or hand wash next to the sink and a teaspoon to stir the coffee. Some people may be uncomfortable with having an open toilet area as there isn’t a door between the bathroom and the bed area. This didn’t bother us and we would definitely stay again.

We were welcomed by the owner, some of his friends and staff. All were smiling and happy people - so pleasant after a long drive. The owner was so passionate about the themed room, he took the time to explain it all and answer our questions. The decoration of our themed room was stunning, the bed were really comfortable, our private balcony was perfect for breakfast in the rising sun. Listening to LP records from the library was a really bonus too.

We can’t think of anything. It’s so odd to find such a place in a small beach town; you’d expect them only in big cities. So it was wonderful to find it hidden, so close to the beach in such a quiet and beautiful location.

We loved the styling of the rooms. Plus having a wall of records in the hallway to play in your own room was fantastic. Breakfast was amazing, coffee is great! Walking distance to the beach and main street shops (and RSL). Courtesy bus to The Tav.

Some items were dusty but not bad. Batteries in the remotes would've been good. They are the only negatives. It certainly didn't spoil our stay at all.

Very quirky Accommodation reflecting owners interest in music, set in a perfect location and providing easy access to the amazing beach. Unique furnishings and decor providing everything we needed and very comfortable. Delicious food too. Just sorry we only had one night there en route to Sydney. Owner Stephen and Manager Jackie very welcoming, despite our late arrival! We definitely hope to return one day.

Such a fun place to stay with musician themed rooms and a fun bar serving good food..... all in a retro style beach house. Short walk to the beach or into town.

Not much! It's great but all a bit too laid back, staff lovely but often no-one around and dinner service shutting down at 7.15pm. A bit more focus on the customers would be great.

The owner warmly welcomed us and showed us around the hotel, telling us about the unique themes of each room. The live music added to the ambience, and the food in the restaurant was exceptional. It was a good indication that the locals frequently dine there. The owner and the staff clearly take great pride in the hotel, and it shows in the quality of service.

This place has so much charm and idealistic location right from Old Bar Beach, the themed rooms make for a cozy and perfect experience accompanied with live music just down stairs and probably some of the tastiest food around. The standout here was the staff and their exceptional level of service making my stay super comfortable and pleasant. My AC stopped working late in the night and they assisted me in getting a cooler for the night and a room change right around Christmas time which I was lucky for and ensured I was comfortable for the subsequent nights. I will absolutely stay here again just because of the high level of service that was provided here.

The air-conditioning stopped on my first night and broke but that was a one of event that happens sometimes.
