Location and price

No parking available when we arrived back to Motel after our gig all spaces were taken and we had to park our car on the street. We knew we would to park the second car and trailer on the street that wasn’t a problem, although the parking directly out the front would have fitted more cars and the large van parked there, parked in the middle and made it difficult for anyone else to park so we had to park all vehicles and the trailer up the street. Some people just have no consideration for others.

We are return customers to this hotel. The staff are very welcoming & friendly. Our room was clean & comfortable. It was very small compared to the room we had last year, but we were only there for one night. In saying this, the room was clean & comfortable & was fine for 2 people. Even though the hotel is on a main road, there was not a lot of road noise. The parking is good - off the road. It is within walking distance to the Tuncurry Bowls club which has meals & entertainment. If you want value for money - this hotel is it!

Firstly the warm welcome. Bali Hi is on the Main Street entering Tuncurry. Soooo convenient. It’s one of those fabulous older very well maintained Motels that you can roll into,check in,and park outside your room. 🙌 I love these places.. Bali Hi ticked all my boxes for an overnight stay on way to Sydney. The room had a btful fresh smell as we entered and it was ‘spotless’, the linens so fresh… bed amazingly comfy and all the crockery and glasses gleaming.. Fridge, Micro, toaster and jug..complimentary milk along with fresh packs of coffee,tea etc.. Tv modern and aircon most effective also Wifi 👍🏼 I had a great early morning walk to the river and inlet… I felt refreshed and ready for our onward trip to Sydney.. I absolutely recommend Bali Hi,and thank the delightful owners for taking such pride in their Motel.

There was nothing that I didn’t like

Everything was great for what we paid, the beds were comfy and it was super clean and had everything we need for a family of 4. More than enough room and beds. The late check in was super simple and straight forward aswell and there was enough parking. The man on the front desk was really accommodating and friendly would definitely re book again.

Lovely comfortable room and facilities. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was excellent because I could walk to nearby clubs and other places that I visited while there. I didn’t need the WiFi while I was there but having the tv and tea/coffee facilities and iron for my clothes made everything just right for my needs.

Not having a designated car park meant that there was always the chance that I might not be able to park close to my room. I would have liked more shelf space in the bathroom.

Tiny but mighty. The motel room was compact but had all the facilities we needed for the night. The shower was great. The bed was comfy and the location was perfect. Our host was lovely and rang after we left to let me know I had left my jacket behind. We weren’t too far out of town so returned to pick it up. I truly appreciated the call.

No complaints!

Room was bright with great natural light in the morning. It was tastefully (modern) decorated and felt very airy with incredibly comfortable beds, giant pillows and luxurious bedding. The kitchenette was well stocked with everything a family needs on a short holiday - plates, cups, cutlery, tea towels, detergent, microwave, mini-fridge. The pool/BBQ area looked inviting but sadly we didn't use it as our stay was too short (only 1 night). Wi-fi was also good for the child late at night haha! Great place to stay for a no fuss getaway with the kids, when you just want somewhere nice and comfortable to crash after going out exploring during the day. It's a convenient short drive from scenic beaches and Forster cafe/dining district across the bridge and is easy to get to/find.

It is on a main road, so passing traffic may affect you if you're not used to that, but we didn't find it bad at all. It wouldn't stop me from coming back.

The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. We had the heater on for a bit before we turned in for the day, and then again in the morning when we got out of bed, just to take the chill off. We enjoyed a steak dinner on the bbq next to the pool. Allan from the motel provided the utensils for the bbq. The fridge came in handy for stuff that needed refrigeration including the ice packs for our esky. The on site car park in front of our room was well appreciated because the motel is just off the main thoroughfare in Tuncurry.

There is really not much not to like except that the motel is right on the main thoroughfare through town. Fortunately the noise of the occasional car driving by in the early morning did not disturb our sleep at all.

Comfortable and clean for a quick break for a sleep to break a long drive. Easy access to the car. Great price. Very helpful friendly staff.

A little noisy from other rooms so sound travels...hope they didn't hear my kids too loudly. And smokers outside a few rooms up were wafting in our room. Rooms are very small, so even with bunks, was pretty tight for 2 kids and an adult, but fine for one night. Wouldn't like to stay for a long visit. A light not working.

Great location, room was small, but had everything you needed, comfortable and was good value for money. The owner was extremely helpful as well

Stayed for 4 nights. Arranged with reception to have room serviced after 2nd night, however it wasn't done Owner raised the issue and corrected the issue promptly, so was a non issue
