The staff was very friendly and accommodating if there was any type of issue - which I only had an issue about the card/door one time & it was fixed within 5-10mins (max time)

Motel 6 is behind a restaurant & 2 gas stations so it wasn't easy to find, plus there's 3 other hotels/motels back there so I had to check & make sure I was at the right one. And that's not something you want to deal with after traveling a few hours. I didn't have reservations the first night so I stayed at the Quality Inn right beside them. The only thing "better" there was I paid about $10 less and the room at Quality Inn had a microwave and mini-fridge in it. FYI the "standard" room at Motel 6 only has a bed and bathroom so double check before making the reservation if you need/want those in the room.

Wonderful staff, everyone of the staff members we spoke to during our stay was very nice, friendly, knowledgeable about local restaurants and other things to do in the area besides just Carowinds. I absolutely LOVE that pets stay free as long as they are well behaved and clean. My favorite thing though was definitely that this hotel still offers smoking rooms!!!!!

The A/C in the room wasn't the greatest during the heat of the summer day but it did however get cold as an icebox at night so there is that. The only thing I truly did NOT like at all is that the beds are full beds and there are no queen or king size bed options, very uncomfortable for my husband and I trying to sleep in such a small bed together.

I love how close Carowinds is and it's nice having the 24-hours convenience store basically in the front yard so you can just walk over and get anything you might want/need if you can't find it in one of the vending machines. I most appreciate that pets stay at no additional charge (up to 2 pets, must be trained and behaved of course!) AND it's a rare gem of a hotel as it still has SMOKING ROOMS AVAILABLE!!!! There really are just so many reasons this will be my go-to choice of place to stay anytime our family is over-nighting in the Carowinds area even though it's not as "fancy" as some of the other hotels in the area but the staff is excellent, attentive, responsive, friendly, knowledgeable, etc. Overall great experience

The only complaint I really have is that the rooms have two full beds and dont have a 2 queen beds option, the full bed was an uncomfortably small fit with both my husband and I sharing a bed together. Maybe even rooms with a king or queen bed as well as a pullout sofa for children would be fantastic

Location is great for traveling through ...easy access to I77. Restaurants close by as well.

I find the hotel has people renting the rooms long term. They hang around the lobby and outside smoking . I would suggest placing them all on one floor. The front desk staff (2 )were outside smoking when I was checking out . They took my key from me outside and didn't ask how my stay was or if I needed a receipt. I guess I interrupted their break...very unprofessional. The evening front drsk receptionist was extremely friendly and helpful. Although the room was clean, there were a lot of maintenance issues that were neglected . These issues that away from the cleanliness, room appears run down. This was my third stay here and may be my last. I realize the area may warrant $100/night , but this place does not.

I was looking for an inexpensive place to lay my head. My expectations were low but honestly it was the staff that surprised me. Each and every one of them were extremely kind and helpful. I stayed 5 days and each day I was greeted and treated respectfully.

I didn’t like the fact that the entire place smelled like smoke. I got a non smoking room but I felt like the entire place had the stench of stale cigarettes. Will it stop me from staying there again? Absolutely not.

The staff was more than wonderful. They was awesome. Getting to the hotel location was easy. The room was very very clean. No issues. The location was great. Hotel not far from the Spectrum Center. My next trip to Charlotte I would stay at again. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

There was very little hot water to shower. The hallway had a odor that the rugs needed to be deodorizer.

The staff was very nice and very helpful the housekeepers was with friendly and they have been doing a wonderful job on keeping the rooms clean the towels are nice and white no stains the sheets are nice and white no stains perfect

The hotel was easy access off of the interstate. The room was clean and even had a little refrigerator!

When I booked I had requested a room on first floor due to I had my dog with me who's 110 lb and not familiar with steps. When I got there they had none available. We survived though.

I liked how friendly and polite and professional the staff was

There wasn't much I didn't like the only things that were unsatisfactory were mainly on the tenants and not the motel or the staff
