I stayed here for several nights and have this to say: the room was large and comfortable and the property is in a great location. The "breakfast" is not really a breakfast: some pre packaged crackers and jam, coffee and that's really it. The rooms were clean, the bathroom was large and comfortable but it is outdated and needs to be redone. This is someone's home and they live there as well. Ordinarily I wouldn't stay with another family but the location was perfect for me. There is no kitchen to use and there is only a tiny fridge if you want your own food. The wifi worked well and access was easy with regular keys. There is no television, fyi, in case you need one. In summation, I recommend this property as a reasonable alternative to expensive hotels. It's in a nice, quiet location and is VERY comfortable. Manuela is SUPER helpful and VERY accomodating and she should have the Super Host status. It suits my needs just fine and I intend on coming back.

It was a unique experience to stay at Il Ciottolo! We felt like we were at home, it is definitely not a regular standardised boring hotel.

Manuela was so lovely and welcoming. Her communication before and after my stay was excellent. I would highly recommend Il Ciottolo to anyone visiting Genova 😊

Decent location, Manuela is lovely host. Breakfast was self-serving, a decent spread. Good shared bathroom facility too.

Manuela is super kind and the appartement is really typically italien, which makes the whole experience really nice. The appartement is 15min away by walk to the center and in a residential and safe area. Breakfast is good and shared areas are clean and spacious.

Manuela Is a fantastic host, very friendly and helpful. And the entire place is very cozy, perfect for a little stay in the city!

We traveled with kids and in the room was toys waiting us. So good surprise for us, because adults was tired for driving and kids played. In toilet there was small pot for little ones. Whole apartment was super cosy so clean. Host, Manuelle, was lovely, caring and helpful. I totally recommend this place for everyone!

was advertised as a bed and breakfast, however breakfast consisted of only one coffee and a small pre packaged cake. you could also request things from a local bakery but at an extra charge. i feel like this does not count as breakfast included.

Homely atmosphere and nice host. There was also a huge comfortable bed.

There was a lot of dust.
