Rooms have been kept very clean and cleaned on a daily basis and the cleaning staff are thorough and courteous too. Location is fantastic with access to Ryde Street and the pier in walking distance. Safety Michael and his team have done a fabulous job and safety is always prioritized. Walkability Walkable distance from good restaurants, bus stops and very accessible. All in all, a very memorable stay at Dorset hotel thanks to Michael and his team. Michael is a very good host.

The bathroom shower can be improved further as the hot and cold water aren't mixed perfectly and flow of water in the shower area is a bit slow (esp in room no 30). The two separate taps in the hand wash can be replaced by a single mixer tap which will enhance the experience. Food and drinks This was the only sore point. Breakfast options are limited though breakfast is complimentary. Can be even more enhanced by adding few more variety.

Breakfast was excellent and served by the friendly staff. The bed was good two options in the room for me being one hard and one soft So, good options. The over all friendly staff very quick to please and so, help-full. It's a lovely 3* hotel with everything you would want. The cleaning staff very good and the room was spot-less. Just really enjoyed my stay. The one I always look at is GOOD MANNERS and the whole staff are kind and have good manners. Well done please keep the standards going.

Nothing that I can find all above proves for me and te good manners of all staff rates highly with me not everybody as customers expect. But for me a kick back from the old days visiting the island. To be kind costs nothing far more better to say something nice then being rude. The staff were good.

Ideally located for hovercraft/ferries and walking distance to town centre and seafront. Booked the compact double as single occupancy, and it was as described. Breakfasts were good and filling, perfect for a days excursion round the island. Bed was comfortable and I slept well each night. Had little contact with owners/staff other than check-in/out and breakfast, but that was down to me being out and about most of the day, and not a complaint 🙂

Would have preferred a wardrobe instead of the desk and hooks on the wall. Full length mirror would have been nice. TV very small

The Dorset Hotel was in a good location, the staff were lovely and welcoming and the rooms were of a decent size and clean. There was plenty of tea/coffee provided in the rooms. The breakfast was very nice and plenty of choices

The shower in room 29 was unusable as the water only trickled out and the unit was very old. For future reference this would need replacing with a more modern one that actually works.

Bed was extremely comfortable. Room spacious and well equipped. Lovely bathroom with bath and shower, plus good quality toiletries. I liked that you could replenish teabags, milk, sugar etcetera from a basket on the reception desk without having to request them. Breakfast delicious with good choices. Lounge and bar was brilliant and sofas very comfortable. Hotel very well located.

The only very small criticism I can think of was the base cushion in the comfy chair in the bedroom room was rather saggy so didn't give good support which we only notice because we are elderly with one of us with a bad back. The creme de la creme potential improvement for any hotel for us personally would be one high backed wing chair available for the room to allow guest to get respite from back trouble whilst away on holiday but to be fair we haven't found this easily anywhere.

Staff were exceptionally helpful and accommodating. Breakfast providrd a range of options. Parking facility was of great benefit. Lounge with bar was comfortable and cosy. Overall well maintained. Ceilings showed delightful signs of how the building might have been. As a B&B close to centre of Ryde, with parking, at the price was overall excellent.

I have no dislikes. Only comments are that ceiling lighting was low but covered by additional table and bedside lights. An instruction /guide for adjusting heater would be helpful.

Was given the Victoria Suite which was very close to reception. The room was large with high ceilings making it very cool for the last week of July which was exceptionally hot. Nice roomy bathroom, all very clean, Bottled water was also supplied daily, biscuits and tea/coffee supplies. Breakfast - excellent selection of cereal, fruit juice, hot selection was all cooked to order and delivered by the very courteous Dave. All the staff were very friendly Wendy and Di and made our stay very comfortable. On a very handy bus route into town. Staff also booked the ferry (fast catamaran) at a discount rate.

Was some noise from the road - but acceptable levels.

The hotel has an old charm, similar to the B&B's that I stayed in as a child, the staff are friendly and quirky and although the hotel is old it has character. The breakfast is typical old school style and although their are no frills or modern elements to the hotel we really enjoyed our stay.

I honestly cant fault the hotel, you get exactly what you pay for, its an old building and could be updated but this is the charm of the place.

Friendly staff and location

Very tired in general 1970 stile needs updating and modifying ie carpets wall paper and bedroom furniture old fashioned and cheap looking. A good maintenance team is needed ie door locks, key hold too close to pilar to operate. Car park entrance very difficult to enter and exit,as vehicles always parked opposite the entrance. Needs to be wider .General maintenance very poor a lot of bodge work. Ie plumbing and electric Sockets and cable. Plumbing in bedrooms very poor bodge work. Painting? In general needs to be done inside and outside. Stay at a Premier inn, and you will know what I mean.
