This is a hidden gem, booked this hotel as we were attending a wedding and was not disapointed, place was spotless, bed was comfortable, breakfast was excellent, staff went above and beyond, we had missed the coach pick up for the 2nd day of the wedding celebrations and could not get a taxi on a Sunday and Aurore's husband went out of his way and drove us to the venue, we can not thank him enough! Anyone visiting Cognac should check this hotel out!

There was nothing we did not like about this hotel

Value breakfast with plenty of choice Central location and easy parking on the street nearby Friendly and welcoming, we were very hot when we arrived in a heatwave and the first thing the receptionist did was to give us each a bottle of cold water.

The bedding was unusual and nice to look at but not quite as comfortable as plain sheets and pillow cases. Not a big deal though.

Perfect location, in the center of the city close to lots of shops, restaurants and beautiful gardens… Very friendly and helpful staff. He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. And the free breakfast in the morning had freshly baked croissants, pain au chocolat, to name a few of the delicious options that were offered. My young adult children loved the espresso machine! They helped themselves to it when we first arrived in the afternoon and in the morning too of course. The rooms had a fan, only one out of the three rooms we rented had AC. But the weather cooled down at night.

We like having an AC in the room, which we didn’t have. Opening the windows makes it noisy from all the cars since the hotel is on a big street.

I liked the couple who ran the hotel. They were mega helpful, made changes when requested, provided free coffee & croissants and were concerned we had a nice time there. They made time for us.

The managers were so kind, helpful and friendly, they went out of their way to make sure we had a great time including personally driving us when no taxi was available. The room was much nicer than a lot of the top hotels we have stayed at and the breakfast was delicious. We were disappointed that we weren't staying longer.

Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Room clean and perfectly adequate. Despite being near the centre of town, the room was quiet. Everything worked! Opportunity to take a lift if I had wanted or needed it.

The stairs were a bit dark (if that's my only gripe it shows how much I liked the place!).

Extremely friendly and efficient staff. Room was spotless and well arranged.. With a fan and an air-conditioning unit which was appreciated. I will be visiting cognac on a regular basis, and this will be my hotel of preference....

No parking. No fan nor cooling in the room. Cognac has very poor public facilities to recharge electric cars. Maybe the hotels can influence the council to sort this out...we will not be able to visit the beautiful town again unless reliable and accessible recharge points are installed.
