The Junction Hotel and Hostel is super clean with an incredible staff that is always super friendly, welcoming and very helpful. We met a lot of great guests while staying the week from cool backpackers, bikers and a group of conservationists working on great projects in Durango. I have to say I’m a super light sleeper and had no problems with the fan or a travel noise maker going. Great people and great stay! Thanks for all you do, Junction Hotel and Hostel! You are very much needed and in a very cool creekside location! Just a walk or bike ride to the river trail, the library, restaurants, grocery and downtown!

This hotel is one of the most affordable places to stay in the entire area. Located right downtown, it's ideally situated near the river and trails, making it easy to explore. The Durango-Silverton train is just a 3-minute drive or a 15-minute walk away. There's plenty of parking available, which is a big plus. We checked in late, around midnight, and the communication was excellent—the instructions were clear and easy to follow. You get exactly what you pay for here—nothing fancy, but a comfortable and convenient stay at a great price!

The rooms need more improvement, but the price justifies it. So, I don't see any cons to it.

Room was large and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. There was nice little pool. Free hot coffee in the morning and the kitchen and common room were clean and well-stocked. There is a creek behind the property with some tables (we didn't use it, but it looked like a nice place to picnic). I only stayed one night but I think for longer-term stays, it would increase in value.

Very minor nitpicks: Mattress was a little softer than I would have liked and the bed frames (which looked new) seemed a bit flimsy.

I was very grateful that there is a hostel in Durango and it is right on Main Street, The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen area was very spacious.

Though the hostel is located on Main Street it is farther out then I had expected and not really in the "Downtown" area. The shared bathroom was nice and convenient though to get water running it takes a lot of muscle as the handle needed to be pulled hard.

The staff here were very helpful and kind. We enjoyed the fresh coffee in the lobby in the morning. The pool looked great, though with a one night stay and getting in a bit late we did not get in it. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. We got a non hostel room so we were secluded from others.

For the price we did not have a complaint. We thought it was a very nice place to stay.

Nice ambience, decent pool for the area, friendly and attentive staff, and nice little hangout spot with a running spring, wonderful meeting other guests, and hostel environment with the shared kitchen etc, was lovely.

Appliances in the room seemed aged, the beds weren’t cleaned out from under, room seemed aged and in used condition, some vandalism happened to a vehicle on the premises while we were there which left us a bit uncomfortable/wary.

The hotel room was great. Simple, but clean and functional. The bed was comfortable. The location is very convenient. Good value for money. I was treated very well at reception.

The hostel was impossible. I had reserved a 4-bed female dorm, and it was a disaster. I complained at reception, and they offered me my own room again, with a discount. Considering the price/quality ratio, this is a much better option.

The room was a good size, and even though it's an older hotel, they have done a very nice job with modernizing the rooms/building. it's nice to have access to a communal kitchen.

The pool was deceivingly small. The ice machine did not work. The coffee was not refreshed in the morning hours (maybe only one pot brewed each morning??) . it would have been nice to have some basic continental breakfast items, especially for the price.

Great beds and updated rooms. It was clean and well-located in town. Despite being one of the cheaper accommodations in Durango, it was comfortable.

While they updated the beds, furniture, and decor it could use some patching in some spots. No mold, bugs, or filth otherwise though so not a major issue.
