The breakfast was wonderful, very tasty and filling. An amazing selection every morning. Good French press coffee. Breakfast is served on the rooftop patio, very lovely and a nice way to start the day. The service staff were very friendly and kind, but do not speak English if this is important to you. We paid for laundry service and it was very well done. They even ironed our T-shirts! Our room was very clean and decorated nicely. The bathroom was spacious and very clean. The rooms are cleaned daily with fresh towels. The location is very good. It is inside the Medina and close to many shops, restaurants, coffee and tea places, etc.

As expected for a Riad, all of the windows face inward to the inner courtroom. There are no fans or A/C so it got a bit stuffy even with the interior windows opened. Also, because there is no "white noise" from a fan or A/C there is no "sound privacy". You can hear other guests using the bathroom, snoring, etc. The owners are French and only one partner spoke English. His partner and the service staff spoke French only; not even a little English. This may be important to you. For example, I wanted to put my postcards in a mailbox. The English-speaking partner was out so I resorted to asking a shop owner where the mail box was located.

THE STAFF SAMIRA AND HAYALT WERE EXCELLENT WITH SUCH CARE, KINDNESS AND ATTENTION GIVEN TO US DURING OUR STAY. THE OWNERS GISELLE AND PHILIPPE WERE ALSO SO KIND AND GENEROUS. WE LOVED OUR STAY, THE BEAUTY AND CALM OF THE RIAD AND OUR ROOM WITH A FANTASTIC HUGE BED. BREAKFASTS TO DIE FOR AND SUCH A PEACEFUL HAVEN BANG IN THE CENTRE OF THE MEDINA.

When we first arrived at the riad, we were well received with tea and cake. The staff provided hot towels for us to clean our hands and face upon arrival, which was a nice refreshing gesture after a long day of travel. The entire check in process was smooth and relaxed. The riad is very well designed. Everything you'd need is provided for you. The decor and style is well thought out. My mom especially was in love with their art pieces. While Essaouira is lively and (somewhat) noisy, the riad was calm, you couldn't hear a thing from outside. The staff is proactive and competent. They go out of their way to make sure we're having a good time. The rooms are always tidy and clean, they provide fresh snacks and bottled water every day. The breakfast was a feast! We looked forward to it every morning.

Lovely facility with comfortable, spacious rooms in the center of town. Phillippe is a friendly and helpful host with lots of good recommendations. Rooms have good showers and bathrooms.

The Riad is a bit hard to find the first time but being set back from the main road is part of its charm. Pillows were not very comfortable.

Beautifully restored and carefully furnished home with just 4 guest rooms in a quiet street just off the Medina. Very welcoming hosts and staff. Absolutely gorgeous home. Merci beaucoup Gisele and Philippe.

The riads typically have all bedrooms face the inner court yard, as this one does too. Other ones we have stayed in had an open roof. Here the air circulation was limited due to a semi enclosed glass roof. I found the room a bit stuffy. In the end we just left Windows and doors open all the time to have better air circulation. This gave not much privacy but the curtains helped. Just wanted to share this slight issue. Would book again though as the rest is outstanding.

The owners were extremely friendly - went above and beyond to ensure that we were happy. The Riad is decorated beautifully, extremely tastefully. The breakfast we had was the best in our 2 week stay in Morocco. Our room was extremly comfortable and the Riad is perfectly located for exploring this gorgeous town!

Beautiful, very comfort and calm place to stay. You can feel that the owners thought about your experience and carefully selected each single detail in the room and riad. I will remember this place and definitely come back when in Essaouira. Wish the owners best of luck and kind and intelligent guests like they are themselves.

Such a lovely Riad - all the furnishings were beautiful and the room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast on the roof top was delicious ( fresh fruits, yoghurt orange juice, coffee, omelette and lovely bread and cake) and the team were very friendly. The host was very accomodating and let us leave our bags before check in and after check out. We had such a relaxing stay in this Riad and would recommend it to anyone visiting Essaouira.

Nicely located, quaint guest house. The owners and staff welcome you very friendly. (Speaking French would have helped us here) The room was nice and the breakfast served on the rooftop was really good.

The only thing was that the bathroom is kind of part of the room as it is separated only by a 2,5 m wall from the bedroom part of the 3,5 m high room. So you hear every little sound. Everything else was really nice.

Our stay at the Riad Emotion was absolutely fabulous, we would have loved to stay longer! The owners are a super nice couple from France that moved to Essaouira years ago and created a beautiful, modern Riad in the hard of the Medina. Everything in this Riad is beautiful, from the furniture, to the ceiling and floor, to the books, music and light - such a perfect attention to detail, it's an environment where you truly want to stay and enjoy! The rooms are super nice, spacious, comfortable and there you will find water, cookies and dates. The breakfast is delicious, served on the rooftop terrace, once again in a beautiful setting. Thank you to the owners for such a wonderful stay!!
